After finishing 2022 by running for his fourth-consecutive season of at least 1,000 yards, the 29-year-old didn't do much during his time with the Jets and Ravens in 2023-24. Sanders is one of those players, and there's also a connection with Cook, who previously expressed interest in playing for the Cowboys.
