Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) has looked solid since returning in Week 8. He's completed 53 of 66 passes for 465 yards and a 3-to-0 TD/Int ratio. Despite two straight losses, Miami's offense has scored 27 points in each game and accumulated over 370+ yards of total offense. They are now traveling to play the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10, and the stage is set for a potentially high-scoring affair with an O/U that currently sits at 50. The Los Angeles defense ranks 18th in fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Miami's defense has looked porous over the last two games, while the Rams offense looks to build off their momentum with their two stud wide receivers back. Look for this offense to try and keep pace. Tyreek Hill (wrist) is uncertain to play on Monday night. Despite Hill's status being in question, Tagovailoa ranks as the QB12 in this week's RotoBaller rankings and still has a high ceiling in Week 10.

Nov 9 1:20pm ET

Miami Dolphins right tackle Austin Jackson (knee) will not play in the Monday night game against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10. Head coach Mike McDaniel said Jackson popped up with a knee injury after the Week 9 loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills. It's unknown if Jackson will need surgery, but thankfully his injury doesn't appear to be season-ending. With Jackson sidelined on Monday, veteran Kendall Lamm and rookie Patrick Paul are both options to replace him on the right side of the offensive line against the Rams. Miami comes into Week 10 action riding a three-game losing streak despite quarterback Tua Tagovailoa back in the starting role under center the last two weeks. The Dolphins currently sit at 2-6 and are 2.5 games behind the Denver Broncos for the seventh seed in the AFC.

Dynasty | Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 25-of-28 passes for 231 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in a loss to Buffalo. Dynasty Analysis: The entire Dolphins offense looks completely different with Tagovailoa at the the helm, but the reality is this team is 2-6 and quickly disappearing from playoff contention. The most important part of this game (or any other Tua plays in) is the fact he exited healthy. While Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are still struggling, you have to figure their time is coming. Tua's dynasty value is stable, though he's a tough buy (or sell) as a player who could be one hit away from retirement.

Nov 3 6:00pm ET

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 25 of 28 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns in their 30-27 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. It was a second straight outing where the offense looked much improved from weeks prior. The Miami rushing attack created a lot of open space in the secondary for Tagovailoa to create chunk plays. In their previous meeting with Buffalo back in Week 2, Tagovailoa threw three interceptions. It was encouraging to see no turnovers from him against an excellent defense. This also marks back-to-back games where the former Alabama Crimson Tide finished with no turnovers, and the offense scored 27 points. With Miami now sitting at (2-6), they're more desperate than ever to get wins. Look for Tagovailoa to air the ball out next week when they travel to take on the Los Angeles Rams in a game that could be a shootout.

Nov 1 7:40pm ET

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is coming off a solid return last week vs. the Arizona Cardinals. He completed 28 of 38 passes for 234 yards and one touchdown, adding 13 yards on three rushing attempts. That being said, his outlook for Week 9 doesn't look as great. Miami will travel to take on their division rival Buffalo Bills, whom Tagovailoa has struggled against. In eight games against Buffalo, he's averaged 199.9 passing yards, 0.9 touchdowns, and 1.3 interceptions per contest. His passer rating also drops to 74.1 compared to the 96.4 career mark. Not helping matters is the fact that Buffalo's defense gives up the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. With temperatures projected to drop into the thirties in Orchard Park, that does not bode well for the passing attack. It's safe to say Tagovailoa should stay on the bench this week and comes in at number 18 in this week's RotoBaller quarterback rankings, making him more of a play in 2QB or Superflex leagues.

Dynasty | Dolphins running back De'Von Achane had 97 rushing yards, six catches, 50 receiving yards, and one touchdown in a loss against Arizona. Dynasty Analysis: This game looked a lot like many of his in last year's rookie breakout as he did his damage on just 16 touches. While Raheem Mostert took both rushing touchdowns away from him today, Achane again proved he can carve out RB1/2 value without getting anything cheap. With Tua Tagovailoa back in the fold, Achane's buy low window just closed again.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) returned to action on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals after missing the last four games due to a concussion. The 26-year-old completed 28 of 38 pass attempts for 234 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 28-27 loss. He also rushed the ball three times for 13 yards. The offense looked much more explosive, as expected, compared to the previous four weeks with Skylar Thompson, Tyler Huntley, and Tim Boyle. Another encouraging sign was how well the offensive line was pass-protecting compared to previous weeks. With the return of guard Isaiah Wynn looming, the pass protection only looks to improve. Fantasy managers must be pleased with his progress, considering the circumstances he has faced this year. Next Sunday, Tagovailoa and the Dolphins will travel to Buffalo to face their division rival, whom he has struggled against in his career.

Dynasty | Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 28-of-38 passes for 234 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in a loss to the Cardinals. Dynasty Analysis: The Dolphins offense looked markedly better with Tua at the helm and Tagovailoa himself looked sharp, though he did fumble three times (none of them were lost). More importantly, he left the game healthy. Tagovailoa predictably made both Tyreek Hill (six catches for 72 yards) and Jaylen Waddle (four for 45) fantasy relevant again. Tagovailoa is going to be at constant risk for another head injury, capping his dynasty value. However, it's clear Miami is back to looking like a team to mine for short-term fantasy production.

Oct 26 9:20pm ET

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) has been officially activated off the team's injured reserve ahead of Sunday's outing against the Arizona Cardinals. The Dolphins released quarterback Tim Boyle in a corresponding move. It's merely a formality, as Jonathan Jones of CBS reported on Friday that Tagovailoa would be getting the start in Week 8. It is fantastic news for the Dolphins and fantasy managers, as the team has scored just three offensive touchdowns in his absence. The Alabama product should be an immediate boost to the outlook of all Dolphins' skill players. Arizona is one of the league's better matchups for opposing passing attacks, letting up the second-most yards per pass play (7.4). The 26-year-old will be a high-end QB2 for the contest and is RotoBaller's QB14 in this week's rankings.

Dynasty | Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol and will start this week against Arizona. Dynasty Analysis: The entire Earth is going to hold its collective breath as Tua returns from his latest scary incident. His return should give the entire offense a collective boost, but every football fan is more concerned about his long-term health at the moment. On the plus side, the experts have cleared him and they certainly know more than the general public. Tua should be a QB1 moving forward but his dynasty value has likely hit its apex as one more head injury could end his career.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol and will get the starting nod on Sunday when the Dolphins face the Arizona Cardinals. Tagovailoa has been sidelined since suffering a concussion during the second week of the season. In his absence, the Miami offense has struggled as they never eclipsed 20 total points in a game without him. Fantasy managers in deeper 1QB formats should feel comfortable starting the Alabama product as he scored 22.0 points in the season opener and 13.0 before leaving Week 2 early. The Cardinals have allowed the 28th-most PPR points to opposing QBs. In addition, Tagovailoa's return also gives a significant boost to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle who should be viewed as must-start options going forward.

Oct 24 8:00pm ET

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) was upgraded to a full practice session on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. As a full practice participant, Tagovailoa can now meet with an independent neurological consultant for full clearance from the NFL's concussion protocol before Sunday's Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Meanwhile, Tyler Huntley (shoulder) missed a second straight practice on Thursday. Nothing is official yet, but all signs point to the 26-year-old Tagovailoa coming off Injured Reserve and playing this weekend for the first time since suffering his latest concussion in Week 2. Not only is Tua's matchup against Arizona a good one -- they've allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to QBs in 2024 -- but his return should do wonders for the fantasy value of both receivers Tyreek Hill (foot) and Jaylen Waddle (quadriceps).

Oct 24 10:30am ET

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is reportedly trending to play this Sunday when his team squares off against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Pelissero also noted he was told that "Tua looks like Tua. He's ripping it all over the field, hitting bombs to Tyreek Hill. This is the guy they've been missing." It's a positive start to the week for the fifth-year QB, who is still required to gain clearance from an independent neurologist as his last hurdle of clearing the league's concussion protocol. Miami's offense desperately needs a spark, scoring just three touchdowns since the Alabama product's exit from the team's Week 2 loss to the Bills. If Tagovailoa can play, he'd give them just that. Fantasy managers will want to monitor him over the next day or so, as he'd supply a large boost to the Dolphins' skill players if active.

Oct 23 3:40pm ET

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) was officially back at practice on Wednesday and has a chance to come off Injured Reserve and play this Sunday against the visiting Arizona Cardinals. It was reported on Tuesday that Tagovailoa would be a full-go in practice on Wednesday, so as long as he doesn't suffer a setback at practice, he could be cleared by an independent neurologist later this week and get the green light to return for the first time since suffering another scary concussion in Week 2. The 26-year-old obviously is an extreme injury risk and could be one more head injury from retirement, but he has low-end QB1 appeal in the right matchups when healthy. Tagovailoa's impending return is great news for fantasy managers of receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, who have been untrustworthy ever since Tagovailoa was injured.

Oct 22 9:30pm ET

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is expected to suit up for practice on Wednesday. This would be the first time that Tagovailoa has practiced since exiting the Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills due to a concussion. There were rumors about Tagovailoa being done for the season if not having his career ended over concussions. However, Tagovailoa appears to be on track to start against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8, barring any setbacks. His return to the field is a welcoming sight and he should boost the fantasy value of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle who are off to sluggish starts with the Dolphins backups.

Oct 21 2:00pm ET

The Miami Dolphins designated quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) to return from Injured Reserve on Monday with the hopes that he can return to play this Sunday in Week 8 to face the Arizona Cardinals. Tagovailoa isn't guaranteed to play this weekend, but if he looks good in practice during the week, Miami could officially activate him from IR by Saturday and have him start on Sunday. The 26-year-old lefty signal-caller suffered his fourth concussion in five years in the Week 2 loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills and has been on IR ever since. However, after consulting with doctors and specialists, Tagovailoa not only made the decision to continue his career, but to try and return this year. Tagovailoa is obviously an extreme injury risk moving forward, but his return to the field should drastically boost the fantasy values of all of Miami's offensive skill players, most notably Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Oct 19 9:50am ET

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is set to practice ahead of Week 8 and could make his return as the team's starter next Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. This is the fastest possible return for Tagovailoa, whose placement on injured reserve required him to stay on the sideline for four games before he could return to practice or game action. This Sunday's Dolphins-Colts clash is the fourth game he'll miss, and it sounds like he'll get back on the field as soon as he's eligible next week. We previously heard that Tagovailoa is symptom-free and has no intentions of retiring at the moment. Once he does return to the field, he'll rank as a fringe top-12 fantasy quarterback. Perhaps more importantly, he'll boost the fantasy values of Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and De'Von Achane, among others.

From RotoBaller

Oct 14 1:10pm ET

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said on Monday that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is expected to play again this season, but it won't come in Week 7 versus the Indianapolis Colts. Tagovailoa suffered yet another scary-looking concussion in the Week 2 loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills and remains on Injured Reserve. The left-handed-throwing QB is eligible to resume practicing on Oct. 23, but that doesn't mean the 26-year-old will be able to return shortly after that. While Tagovailoa is worth stashing in two-QB fantasy leagues, managers should temper expectations for his return date and how he performs immediately after he returns. Tagovailoa put up career-best numbers last year and has perhaps the best 1-2 punch in the league at wideout, but he could be one more head injury away from his career being over. Tyler Huntley is expected to make his third straight start at QB for Miami against the Colts.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 6:50pm ET

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is scheduled to meet with an expert on head injuries during the team's bye in Week 6. It was reported last week that Tagovailoa has been symptom-free since suffering another scary concussion in the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills. However, the 26-year-old was placed on Injured Reserve, and there's currently no timetable for his return. Tagovailoa will be eligible to come off IR for Week 8, but expecting him to return that soon would be foolish. The good news is that it sounds as though Tagovailoa has a shot to play again this year, which seemed unlikely at the time of his injury. At least for Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts, Tyler Huntley is expected to make a second straight start under center for the Dolphins. Tagovailoa deserves to be stashed as a QB2 in single-year fantasy leagues.

From RotoBaller

Oct 3 2:40pm ET

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is on the Injured Reserve list after suffering another scary-looking concussion in the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Despite the concern after suffering yet another head injury, the belief is Tagovailoa is expected to return when he's eligible in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals. "[Tua] has been symptom-free and he has been meeting with neurologists," NFL insider Adam Schefter said. "And I don't believe that anybody's told him anything right now to dissuade him from wanting to play." Tagovailoa has missed two games so far and will be required to miss the Week 5 game against the New England Patriots. The team goes on a bye in Week 6 before a game against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7. Fantasy managers with Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and De'Von Achane are likely to have to deal with a lack of production from those three stars for now, but based on the latest information, it would be surprising if Tagovailoa does not return to start later this month.
