New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers completed 12 of his 18 passes for 112 yards and two interceptions before being replaced by QB Tyrod Taylor in a 40-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 17.
Fantasy Spin: Rodgers entered the game needing one passing touchdown to reach 500 for his career, but he ended up having his worst outing since October. He will have one more chance to reach the milestone before a disappointing season comes to a close.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was replaced by Tyrod Taylor in the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Rodgers finished with 112 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also took four sacks, including one for a safety. Interestingly, Taylor played significantly better in his two drives, completing 79 percent of his passes for 83 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Despite Taylor's promising fourth quarter, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich told the media postgame that he expects Rodgers to remain the starter for Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins. Looking beyond next weekend, Rodgers' future with the Jets remains uncertain, and it's possible he will enter 2025 with a new team or even on the retirement list.

The Cleveland Browns could pursue veteran quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers or Kirk Cousins for the 2025 season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Cleveland recently restructured Deshaun Watson's contract to presumably keep him on the team next season, but the team's desire to bring in quarterback competition has been well-documented. Both Rodgers and Cousins, who seem likely to be on new teams next season, are strong candidates to push for the starting job over Watson in Cleveland. Rodgers has come on strong with nine passing touchdowns over his last five games, but there has been plenty of speculation that he and the Jets are headed for a divorce. Meanwhile, Cousins was benched in the midst of his first season with the Falcons after tossing seven interceptions in a three-game span.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) injured his knee but played the entire game in a Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Despite the injury, Rodgers practiced fully all week and is listed without an injury designation heading into Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have been tough on quarterbacks this season, allowing the 12th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position. That being said, Rodgers was solid when these two teams met earlier in the season, throwing for 294 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He sets up as a low-end QB2 in fantasy heading into Week 17.

New York Jets DL Leki Fotu (knee) was limited at practice on Friday, Dec. 27, but was ruled out for Week 17. Also, WR Davante Adams (hip), CB Michael Carter II (back), CB Sauce Gardner (hamstring), OL Morgan Moses (knee) and DL Quinnen Williams (hamstring) were limited and are questionable, DE Braiden McGregor (ankle), S Tony Adams (ankle), LB Haason Reddick (neck) and PK Greg Zuerlein (knee) practiced in full but are questionable and OG Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle), OL John Simpson (calf) and QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) practiced in full for the third straight day on Friday, Dec. 27, and was removed from the Week 17 injury report.
Fantasy Spin: Rodgers has managed to be a top-10 play since Week 13, and the Jets might be chasing points all game long versus the Buffalo Bills. Consider Rodgers a QB2.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets WR Davante Adams (hip), CB Sauce Gardner (hamstring), OT Morgan Moses (knee) and OG Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 26. S Tony Adams (ankle), CB Michael Carter II (back), DE Braiden McGregor (ankle), DE Haason Reddick (neck), OG John Simpson (calf) and DT Quinnen Williams (hamstring) were limited during practice. QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 26.
Fantasy Spin: Rodgers has posted solid numbers during the second half of the season and has thrown at least two touchdowns in five of his last eight games. He is no longer a starting option in standard leagues but could be used in two-quarterback leagues.
From TheHuddle
Updating an ongoing story, New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) was asked Tuesday, Dec. 24, about his return to the franchise in 2025, and he said it must be 'in the plans of multiple people, starting with the ownership.' When asked whether he felt Jets owner Woody Johnson wanted him to return, Rodgers responded, 'You should ask Woody.' Rodgers went on to note he had not spoken with Johnson about his future, furthering speculation the 41-year-old will not return to the team.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 25. The Jets did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.
Fantasy Spin: Rodgers has been playing well recently with five touchdowns in his last three games. He appears to be on track to play in Week 17 and can be a possible starting option in two-quarterback leagues.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) is dealing with a 'little' MCL injury but expects to play in Week 17, he told reporters on Tuesday, Dec. 24.
Fantasy Spin: While Rodgers playing is good news for the Jets' offense, he isn't a suggested lineup option in Week 17.
From TheHuddle
According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) said that he "feels pretty good" and that he is "going to play" on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. The 41-year suffered what he deems an "MCL issue" during Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the week in case he faces a setback during practice. Rodgers was beginning to find his footing on what has been a disappointing season as he averaged a solid 26.0 PPR points during Weeks 14 and 15. However, on Sunday, Rodgers would score only 17.4 as he threw for just 256 yards and one score against the Rams. Given his inconsistently all season, fantasy managers should view Rodgers as a high-floor QB2 in all formats facing the Buffalo Bills who have allowed the 13th-most PPR points to opposing quarterbacks this season.

New York Jets rookie left tackle Olu Fashanu (foot) is heading to Injured Reserve and will have season-ending foot surgery after getting hurt in the Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. More specifically, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Fashanu is dealing with a plantar-fascia injury. The 22-year-old first-rounder out of Penn State ends what had been a strong rookie season early after he settled in as the team's starting left tackle in place of Tyron Smith after he injured his neck in November. With Fashanu now done for the final two games of the regular season, expect Max Mitchell to take over on the left side of the offensive line as the blind-side protector for quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee). Fashanu is expected to make a full recovery and should be ready to go for the team's workouts next spring.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) is uncertain for Week 17 because of a knee injury, according to sources.
Fantasy Spin: Rodgers is 18th over the last five weeks in fantasy points at the position. Even if he's cleared, he's not a good option for the fantasy title game. Tyrod Taylor is his backup and isn't worth consideration.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) is uncertain to play in Week 17 against the division-rival Buffalo Bills on Sunday due to a knee injury he suffered in the Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said he's betting on Rodgers to play, but he's not committing to it early in the week. With the Jets already eliminated from playoff contention, Rodgers isn't going to take any chances with his health in a meaningless game for the team. If he is ruled out for Sunday's game, journeyman QB Tyrod Taylor would make his first start of the year for Gang Green, which would be a downgrade for receivers Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson in fantasy. We'll have a better idea of the 41-year-old's status for Week 17 once the team resumes practicing on Wednesday. The future Hall of Famer has been better of late, but he's no more than a QB2 in fantasy if he plays.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday that he's open to taking a pay cut and is also willing to mentor a rookie if he continues to play in 2025. However, Rodgers also said that he remains undecided on whether he will continue his playing career. The Jets fell to a disappointing 4-11 after their Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams despite a recent stretch of improved play from Rodgers. The 41-year-old future Hall of Famer carries a $23.5 million salary cap hit next year, and the Jets would be on the hook for a $49 million dead cap hit if Rodgers is released or if he retires. Rodgers has thrown for 3,511 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions a year after tearing his Achilles in Week 1. The Jets offense is in the bottom third in the NFL in points per game (19.5) and yards per game (307.9). Rodgers will be a QB2 in fantasy in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers went 28-for-42 for 256 yards and one touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16. He also rushed for six yards on one carry but did lose a fumble.
Fantasy Spin: Rodgers has been playing well over the last few weeks with five touchdowns and zero interceptions over the last three games. He will be facing a good Buffalo Bills next week but could be an option in some two-quarterback leagues.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 28 of his 42 passes for 256 yards and one touchdown while losing a fumble and rushing for six yards on one carry in a 19-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16. It was a rough day for the Jets offense as they managed just one touchdown against a weak LA defensive unit. Rodgers' lone touchdown pass went to Davante Adams on an 11-yard completion in the first quarter. Rodgers' lost fumble proved to be a costly one as he lost the ball on a Kam Curl sack at New York's 21-yard line in the fourth quarter, leading to a Rams touchdown pass three plays later. Rodgers will look to bounce back against the Buffalo Bills on the road in Week 17.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers put together one of his best games of the season in a Week 15 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, throwing for 289 yards and three touchdowns. Rodgers will look to keep it going in a Week 16 home matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams have been a plus matchup for quarterbacks this season, allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to the position. Rodgers has been playing his best football of the season of late with three multi-touchdown games over his past four contests. Fantasy managers can treat him as a mid-range QB2 heading into Week 16.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is getting healthier down the stretch, which has coincided with two of his best performances of the season the last two weeks against the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars. Rodgers has gone 43-for-69 the last two games with 628 passing yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. "He struggled with injury for a good part of the season, and, as he's starting to get healthier, you're starting to see Aaron Rodgers -- the real Aaron Rodgers," interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said. The future Hall of Famer even rushed for a team-high 45 yards against the Jags, the most by any player in his 40s since Doug Flutie in 2003. Rodgers battled ankle, hamstring and knee issues earlier this year but is as healthy as he's been all year right now. He'll have another decent matchup against the Rams in Week 16, but his recent strong play doesn't suddenly make him a QB1.
