New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams (illness, wrist) did not take part in the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. It doesn't sound like Adams is in danger of missing the Week 11 contest versus the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday, but we'll keep an eye on Adams' practice status the rest of the week. As long as he's able to return to the practice field in the next two days, he should get cleared to suit up this weekend as the Jets look to get back on track. The 31-year-old three-time All-Pro has underwhelmed with the Jets since they acquired him in a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders, as he's caught 20 of his 39 passes for 206 yards and one touchdown in four games played. Week 11 provides him an opportunity for a strong performance, though, as the Colts' defense has been a top-10 matchup for opposing wideouts in 2024 in terms of fantasy points per game.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams (wrist, illness) is out of practice Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Fantasy Spin: Adams has a 20-206-1 line in four games since joining the Jets and will be a WR2 in fantasy in the likelihood he plays this week.
From TheHuddle
Dynasty | Jets wide receiver Davante Adams had six catches for 31 yards in the Jets loss to Arizona. Dynasty Analysis: Adams was targeted 13 times (seven more than any other Jets player), but that resulted in meager results. The Jets simply look lost and the addition of Adams looks now like a desperation play that's going to fail to turn anything around. He'll continue to be a volume based option, but it's going to be at "boom or bust" WR2 levels at best. It's hard to see Adams being a huge difference maker the rest of the way and while he could be a target for dynasty managers who are contending, he's also one poised to disappoint each and every one of them.
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams caught six of his 13 targets for 31 yards in a 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10. Adams struggled to get anything going downfield despite drawing 13 targets as he averaged just 5.2 yards per catch in the blowout loss. That being said, the workload was encouraging as Adams has now drawn 24 targets over his past two games. Adams will be a strong fantasy play against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams ended up with six receptions for 31 yards on 13 targets in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Fantasy Spin: Adams has managed 13 total catches in the past two games with 24 targets in the span. He is a must-start fantasy option in PPR leagues, because you know his buddy Aaron Rodgers is going to try and get him the ball first. But, he has been putting up WR3 or flex fantasy numbers in standard play since joining Gang Green.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams broke out in his third game with his new team, catching seven of 11 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown. He will look to keep it going in Week 10's road matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona has been average against wide receivers this season, allowing the 14th-most fantasy points per game to the position. That being said, the targets have consolidated around Adams and Garrett Wilson of late and that should continue to be the case with Allen Lazard (chest) on injured reserve and Mike Williams now a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Treat Adams as a mid-range WR1 in Week 10.
From RotoBaller
Dynasty | Jets receiver Davante Adams had seven catches for 91 yards and a touchdown in a win against Houston. Dynasty Analysis: Adams started out his Jets career slowly, but led the team with 11 targets on the night and posted some big catches, including a late touchdown that sealed the game. Adams isn't the player he once was, but he could still provide low-end WR1 value the rest of the way if he builds on this performance. Adams remains a good dynasty buy for contending teams moving forward.
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams caught seven of his 11 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in a 21-13 win over the Houston Texans in Week 9's Thursday night game. Adams and Aaron Rodgers connected for their first touchdown since they played for the Green Bay Packers together back in 2022 on a 37-yard strike in the fourth quarter. The big outing from Adams easily goes in the books as his best effort since the Jets acquired him from the Las Vegas Raiders ahead of Week 7. Adams survived an injury scare during the second half as he was evaluated for a concussion. He ultimately passed the league's testing and was able to return to the field for the remainder of the game. Adams will be a solid WR2 in fantasy heading into Week 10's road game against the Arizona Cardinals.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams had seven catches for 91 yards and a touchdown during the club's Week 9 victory over the Houston Texans. Adams was targeted a team-high 11 times.
Fantasy Spin: Despite missing a chunk of the game while being checked for a head injury, Adams returned to haul in the game-sealing touchdown, his first with the Jets. It was a big effort from the veteran, who had done little in two games since arriving from Las Vegas via trade. While it's not enough to vault him back into WR1 territory at this point, Adams looks like a midrange or low-end WR2.
From TheHuddle
Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Davante Adams (head) cleared concussion protocol and was able to return to the Week 9 game against the Houston Texans.
Fantasy Spin: It looks like Adams avoided a serious injury, and he and Garrett Wilson should continue to handle a majority of the targets from Aaron Rodgers.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets WR Davante Adams (head) is questionable to return to the Week 9 game against the Houston Texans after exiting to be evaluated for a concussion.
Fantasy Spin: If Adams is unable to return, Garrett Wilson will likely see a bulk of the targets. Mike Williams could also see a boost in usage.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams has yet to post a big game since his new team traded for him two weeks ago, catching seven passes for 84 yards in two games. He will look to make a bigger impact on his team's offense heading into Week 9's Thursday night game against the Houston Texans. Houston represents a plus matchup for Adams as they are allowing the eight-most fantasy points per game to the position thus far. Treat Adams as a low-end WR2 heading into Week 9.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams reworked his contract on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The reworked deal converts $10.4 million of Adams' 2024 salary into a signing bonus, which lowers his cap hit to $3.2 million. The renegotiated deal has no changes to his contract beyond 2024.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams caught four of his six targets for 54 yards in a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8. Adams finished second on the Jets in targets, catches, and receiving yards behind only Garrett Wilson in the close loss but it goes down as his second straight pedestrian outing since the team acquired him from the Las Vegas Raiders ahead of Week 7. Adams should have better days ahead of him as he gets more acclimated to the New York offense but it appears that he is not going to be overtaking Wilson as the team's No. 1 receiver anytime soon. Adams will be a low-end WR2 in fantasy heading into Week 9's Thursday night game against the Houston Texans.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams caught four passes for 54 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 8. He was targeted six times during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Adams has posted 84 yards in two games since joining the Jets has been targeted 15 times in those two games. He should be more involved in the passing game in the upcoming games and can still be a starting option in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams had a quiet debut with his new team in Week 7, catching just three of his nine targets for 30 yards in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Adams will look to bounce back on the road against the New England Patriots in Week 8. The Patriots have been a decent matchup for receivers this season, allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to the position thus far. Another reason for optimism for Adams is it looks like Allen Lazard (chest) is unlikely to play in Week 8, which will consolidate targets around Adams and Garrett Wilson more than usual. Treat Adams as a low-end WR2 heading into Week 8 against the Patriots.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams caught three of his nine targets for 30 yards in a 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. Making his debut with the Jets after they acquired him from the Las Vegas Raiders last week, Adams tied for the team lead in targets but was unable to get on the same page as Aaron Rodgers for much of the night. Adams should produce more in the coming weeks as he has more time to acclimate with his new team. Treat him as a WR2 heading into a Week 8 matchup against the New England Patriots.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams caught three of his nine targets for 30 yards in Week 7 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Fantasy Spin: It was impossible to know what to expect in Adams' first game. On one hand, he was being reunited with good buddy Aaron Rodgers. On the other hand, he was less than a week removed from being traded to New York, had not played in nearly a month, was lined up opposite stud corner Joey Porter Jr. a lot and had to compete with Garrett Wilson for targets. Better days are likely ahead for Adams as a Jet, but it may take a bit of time for him to truly adapt to his new surroundings. Keep starting him in fantasy.
From TheHuddle
Dynasty | The Jets are planning on Davante Adams playing at full strength this week. Dynasty Analysis: Adams was traded to the Jets this week and apparently the plane flight magically cured his injury. Dynasty managers won't complain as Adams has reportedly looked great in practice and is excited to be reunited with Aaron Rodgers. The Jets still have major problems and Adams is going to still need to build chemistry in the offense, so he should be viewed as more of a WR2 at the moment. Stay tuned.
New York Jets CB Michael Carter II (back) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 7 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. CB D.J. Reed (groin) also did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. TE Tyler Conklin (hip) and LB Chazz Surratt (heel) practiced in full on Friday, Oct. 18, but are also listed as questionable. QB Aaron Rodgers (ankle), WR Mike Williams (personal), DE Will McDonald (shoulder), OT Morgan Moses (knee), OT Tyron Smith (rest) and WR Davante Adams (hamstring) practiced in full on Friday and have been removed from the injury report.
