Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) was officially placed on injured reserve on Tuesday. It was announced earlier in the day that Diggs had torn his ACL in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts. Moving Diggs to IR gives the Texans the roster space to potentially add another wide receiver for depth. The Texans will still be without standout wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) until Week 10. This opens up a huge void of targets and opportunities for second-year wide receiver Tank Dell. Dell was excellent in 2023 when he was the only show in town. The Texans will need him to step up in a big way in the coming weeks while they wait for Collins to ramp back up. The Texans will likely also spread to ball around to wide receivers Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods, and John Metchie III, along with tight end Dalton Schultz.
From RotoBaller
Dynasty | Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's game and will be lost for the season. Dynasty Analysis: This is a brutal development for the Texans and likely even worse in dynasty leagues. Diggs was having a solid first year with Houston, with 47 catches, 496 yards and three touchdowns on the year, keeping him the top ten in terms of fantasy production from wide receivers. This is going to really cloud his future, though. Diggs is already 30 years old and restructured his contract to become a free agent at the end of the season - he'll do so now as an aging receiver coming off a major injury. He may end up staying in Houston on a reduced contract (he's said to love it there), but his days of being a WR1 in dynasty leagues may have just come to a close. His ranking and ADP are going to sink with this news.
Updating previous reports, Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs (knee) will miss the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Fantasy Spin: Tank Dell and Dalton Schultz will become the top receiving options, but they're going to need someone else to emerge. Xavier Hutchinson should be first up for that opportunity, and he'll be a waiver claim candidate.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts. The veteran wide receiver went down with a non-contact injury while running a route. Unfortunately, many fantasy players knew Diggs' season was likely over after seeing him go down. The Texans' wide receiver core has gone from an elite unit to average, at best, until Nico Collins (hamstring) returns in a few weeks. In the meantime, Tank Dell will operate as the No. 1 wide receiver, with John Metchie III, Xavier Hutchinson, and Robert Woods also earning targets. Fantasy players with C.J. Stroud on their roster should explore replacement options on the waiver wire until Collins is back in the lineup.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) was listed as did not practice during Monday's estimated report. This comes as little surprise after Diggs exited Sunday's game with a non-contact knee injury. The team is expected to have Diggs undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. Fantasy managers should get a backup plan ready in case Diggs isn't ready for Thursday's game against the New York Jets. The MRI results should give more clarity on the situation. Tank Dell could end up with a heavy workload in this banged up offense.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs (knee) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 28. The Texans did not hold a practice Monday, so this is an estimation.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs suffered a non-contact injury during the Week 8 game, so he probably will miss at least one game because of the injury. Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation but should look for other options to use in their lineups.
From TheHuddle
Updating previous reports, Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs (knee) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his right knee after suffering a non-contact injury on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Fantasy Spin: With Houston set to play on Thursday night, Diggs is all but certain to miss at least one game. It could also be much worse. We should know more on Monday, so keep an eye out for an update. If Diggs is set for an extended absence, Tank Dell would move into the de facto WR1 role with some combo of John Metchie and Xavier Hutchinson likely to step up at least until Nico Collins (hamstring) returns from IR.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs (knee) registered five receptions for 81 yards on nine targets in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts, while leaving early due to a knee injury.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs turned in a decent stat line before departing, but a knee is a big concern for fantasy managers heading into Week 9, especially with a quick turnaround on Thursday night against the New York Jets. Prepare to make alternate plans.
From TheHuddle
Dynasty | Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs had five catches for 81 yards before exiting with a knee injury in Houston's win against Indianapolis. Dynasty Analysis: Not good. Diggs was doing a nice job taking over for an injured Nico Collins, but non-contact knee injuries are never positive. Diggs went down in a heap and while he left the field under his own power in the third quarter. This had the looks of a potentially significant turn of events. We'll wait to see what happens with further testing, but anyone who has Diggs as a key player in their lineups may need to make alternate plans soon.
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) exited during the second half of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts after suffering a serious-looking, non-contact injury. Although Diggs was able to walk off the field, he was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the contest. He finished Week 8 with five catches for 81 yards. With both Diggs and Nico Collins (hamstring) sidelined, the Texans could enter next week's game against the New York Jets with a receiving corps headlined by Tank Dell, Xavier Hutchinson, John Metchie, and Robert Woods. Fantasy managers will want to stay tuned for updates on Diggs' status and exactly how much time he'll miss.
From RotoBaller
Updating a previous report, Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs (knee) suffered a knee injury during the Week 8 game and is considered questionable to return.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players should receive an update on Diggs over the next day. He is a weekly starting option when healthy, but fantasy players may need a replacement in their lineups if Diggs misses time.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs (knee) left the Week 8 game early after suffering an apparent knee injury.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs appeared to suffer a non-contact injury, so fantasy players will need to keep an eye on how long he may be sidelined. He is a weekly starting option in all leagues when healthy, but players may need other options ready in case he misses time.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs remains a high-floor starting lineup option when the Texans take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8. The veteran receiver has been a nice WR2 option with steady production every week, garnering at least six targets and four catches in every game. With wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) on injured reserve, though, the former Bill is temporarily the No. 1 option in Houston and playing a Colts team against whom he caught two touchdowns in Week 1. The upside of the role, the offense, and the matchup should have fantasy managers confidently starting Diggs as a fringe WR1 in Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs (non-injury) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 25, but is not on the injury report for Week 8.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs is coming off a disappointing Week 7 performance but is still one of the main options in the passing game for the Texans. He will see plenty of targets during the game and should be a starting option in all leagues.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair (knee) and S Jimmie Ward (groin) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 8 versus the Indianapolis Colts. LB Henry To'oTo'o (concussion) was upgraded to a limited practice on Friday, Oct. 25, and is listed as questionable. WR Stefon Diggs (rest) was also limited in practice on Friday but is expected to play. DT Folorunso Fatukasi (shoulder), CB Kamari Lassiter (shoulder), WR Robert Woods (foot), OT Laremy Tunsil (ankle), WR Steven Sims (back), DE Will Anderson Jr. (chest), CB D'Angelo Ross (illness) and OT Tytus Howard (knee) practiced in full on Friday and have been removed from the injury report.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs caught five passes for 23 yards against the Green Bay Packers in Week 7. He was targeted seven times during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs was the main option in the passing game this week, but the Texans passing game did not have much success. He should be able to improve on his numbers next week and should be a starting option in all leagues.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs managed just 23 yards and no touchdowns on five catches in a 24-22 defeat Sunday at Green Bay. It was an all-around miserable day for the Houston passing game, which managed only 86 yards through the air. The passing struggles trickled down to the veteran receiver, who was targeted a team-high seven times without much to show for it. Diggs and the Texans will have a more favorable matchup in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs is in WR1 territory as he prepares to meet his old friends, the Green Bay Packers, during a Week 7 game at Lambeau Field. Houston will be without wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) for at least three more weeks, placing the 30-year-old veteran at the top of the food chain in a talented Texans offense. Diggs has caught at least five passes in every game this season and drawn 20% or more of Houston's targets four games in a row, making him a high-floor option against a Green Bay pass defense that ranks 26th in air yards allowed. The former Viking should be starting in all formats in Week 7.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs caught six passes for 77 yards and one touchdown against the New England Patriots in Week 6. He was targeted seven times during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs has been playing very well over the last month and has posted at least 69 yards in each of the last four games. He should be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs compiled another productive week with seven targets, six catches, 77 receiving yards, and a touchdown in Houston's 41-21 triumph on Sunday at New England. The 30-year-old found the end zone for the fourth time (three receiving, one rushing) in six games with Houston. Diggs has maintained consistently high usage in the Texans' offense, which carried over Sunday without the presence of top target Nico Collins (hamstring), who is now on injured reserve. The Maryland product has been a steady option week-in and week-out for Houston, which is now 5-1. The Texans will look to keep the trend going in Week 7 at Green Bay.
