Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (head) explained that he was a little beat up in the Week 5 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. Allen was shaken up on a play in the second half, and backup Mitchell Trubisky came into the game briefly. "Big shot to the chest. Rolled my ankle. They flagged me for hitting my head, but felt good enough to go back in," Allen said. The 28-year-old was quickly cleared for a concussion on the sideline and returned to the contest to finish just 9-for-30 passing for a season-low 131 yards and one touchdown. It's notable that he was without his top receiver in Khalil Shakir (ankle) in this one. Don't be surprised if Allen is on the Week 6 injury report, but he should be good to go for what will be another tough matchup against the division-rival New York Jets and their stout defense. Allen remains a must-start QB1 in fantasy, and the good news is he's yet to throw a pick in 2024.

Oct 6 7:30pm ET

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen completed just nine of 30 pass attempts for 131 yards and a touchdown in the team's 23-20 loss to the Houston Texans. He added 54 yards on the ground on four carries. The rushing yardage helped salvage a disappointing day that saw the Buffalo offense struggle. Allen nearly hit tight end Dalton Kincaid on a couple of big plays and clearly missed his go-to option Khalil Shakir (ankle). The touchdown came on a 49-yard catch-and-run by rookie Keon Coleman in the third quarter. Allen briefly departed the game after taking a big shot and hitting his head on the ground. The medical staff cleared him and he just missed one snap. The Bills draw a matchup against the stout Jets' secondary on Monday Night Football in Week 6.

Oct 6 5:53pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen went 9-for-30 for 131 yards and one touchdown against the Houston Texans in Week 5. He also rushed for 54 yards on four carries during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation because Allen appeared to be banged up during the game but only missed one play. He had a disappointing Week 5 performance but is still one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and should be a weekly starting option.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 3:13pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 4, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has played well so far this season and should continue to post good numbers even though he will be without one of his receivers. He should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 2:23pm ET

Buffalo Bills DT Austin X. Johnson (oblique), DT Ed Oliver (hamstring), S Taylor Rapp (concussion) and WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) did not practice on Friday, Oct. 4, and have been ruled out for Week 5 versus the Houston Texans. LB Terrel Bernard (pectoral) and CB Taron Johnson (forearm) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable. QB Josh Allen (hand), OT Dion Dawkins (hamstring), DT DaQuan Jones (rest), TE Quintin Morris (shoulder) and QB Mitchell Trubisky (knee) practiced in full on Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 10:10am ET

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has ping-ponged between being the top fantasy football quarterback and an unstartable asset (QB28) over the past four weeks. Blowouts have been to blame. The Bills won two games by an average of 29 points and then lost in Week 4 by 25. A (hopefully) more competitive tilt against the Houston Texans will keep Allen aggressive and throwing for four quarters. Buffalo's signal caller is on the injury report with a left hand injury but he's practicing in full this week. He could be without his top wide receiver Khalil Shakir, who is dealing with an ankle injury. Through all the tribulations, Allen is the QB4 on the season and should be started in all leagues in Week 5.

Oct 3 3:23pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 3.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in the NFL during the first quarter of the season and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues as long as he is healthy.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 4:23pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Fantasy Spin: Allen was not able to find the end zone this past week but has still been one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL during the first quarter of the season. He is a must-start option in all leagues as long as he is healthy.

Oct 2 9:40am ET

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (back) was sore after the team's Week 4 game against Baltimore but should be fine for Week 5 against Houston according to coach Sean McDermott. It looks like Allen avoided a serious injury and is on track to face Houston in Week 5 but it will be worth monitoring the injury report this week. Allen is the QB4 on the season, averaging 19.8 fantasy points per game. Allen was 16-of-29 for 180 yards and no touchdown passes against Baltimore in his toughest outing of the season. He will try to bounce back against the Texans this week.

From RotoBaller

Sep 30 8:10am ET

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen completed 16 of his 29 pass attempts for 180 yards and no touchdowns in the team's 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Allen added 21 yards on the ground on five attempts. It's the first game Allen has failed to find the endzone since Week 9 of the 2021 season. Like the prior two weeks, Allen was kept on the sideline for parts of the fourth quarterback due to a blowout. The Ravens jumped out to a quick lead and didn't allow the Bills to generate many big plays. Allen consistently worked in the short area of the field. The team's longest completion (52 yards) to Khalil Shakir was the product of a scramble drill. Fantasy managers should chalk up Allen's performance as a bad week and start him confidently against the Houston Texans in Week 5.

From RotoBaller

Sep 30 12:13am ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen finished 16-of-29 for 180 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Week 4 versus the Baltimore Ravens. Allen also ran five times for 21 yards and lost a fumble.

Fantasy Spin: Even though he only took three sacks, Allen was on the run quite a bit in this one, which is all Baltimore needed to do after mostly shutting down the Bills' rushing attack. Allen has been extremely up-and-down for fantasy purposes through four games, although this is the first time in nearly three seasons that he did not account for a touchdown running or throwing. Fantasy managers have little choice but to shake this one off and believe the offense will operate at a much higher level in Week 5 against the Houston Texans.

Sep 28 2:20pm ET

The Buffalo Bills love what they've seen from quarterback Josh Allen through three games. He's playing efficiently, making good decisions and taking care of the football. Allen has also used all of the team's skill players, and the proof of that came in the Week 3 dismantling of the Jaguars, when 10 different Bills players had a catch. Buffalo is 10-2 since offensive coordinator Joe Brady took over play-calling duties in 2023. Not only is the passing game working, but the Bills have run the ball more than anyone else in the NFL since Week 11 of last year (34.6 times per game). Allen has more control and power at the line of scrimmage and is doing more with less in the receiving game in 2024 after losing both Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. In the highest-scoring offense in football, Allen remains a must-start QB1 heading into a Sunday night showdown on the road against the Ravens.

From RotoBaller

Sep 27 2:23pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) practiced in full all week and no longer appears on the injury report for Week 4 versus the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has practiced in full for three straight weeks since suffering the injury in Week 1, so it is fair to say it is a non-issue at this point. He is a great candidate to be the overall QB1 every week he suits up, although that kind of performance does not usually happen against the Ravens. Either way, he is a must-start every week he can take the field.

From TheHuddle

Sep 27 2:13pm ET

Buffalo Bills OL Tylan Grable (groin) and CB Taron Johnson (forearm) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 4 versus the Baltimore Ravens. LB Terrel Bernard (pectoral) was limited in practice for a second straight day on Friday, Sept. 27, but has also been ruled out. QB Josh Allen (hand), CB Kaiir Elam (neck), TE Quintin Morris (shoulder) and QB Mitchell Trubisky (knee) practiced in full on Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Sep 26 9:50pm ET

A competitive football game is preventing Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen from delivering all-time fantasy football performances. Even in the blowout win in Week 3 that took him off the field in the fourth quarter, Allen still scored four touchdowns and finished as the QB1. That's the second time in three weeks he's accomplished that feat. The Baltimore Ravens should present a tougher test than Miami and Jacksonville, at least on offense. The Ravens are allowing the most passing yards in the league this season. Lamar Jackson and the rest of the Ravens' offense should score enough to make Allen keep his foot on the gas. Allen has a great chance to finish as the QB1 for the third time this season and should be started across the board.

From RotoBaller

Sep 26 3:23pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL over the first three games and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues no matter the opponent.

From TheHuddle

Sep 25 7:30pm ET

Bills' QB Josh Allen scored an astounding 33.55 fantasy points in Monday's Week 3 win against the Jaguars. Allen threw for 263 yards on 23-of-30 with four touchdowns. It's the 2nd time this season Allen scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Sep 25 3:33pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 25. The Bills did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has been one of the best players in the NFL during the early part of the season with nine total touchdowns in three games. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
