Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) was questionable heading into Week 9 and was cleared to play against the Detroit Lions, where the Packers lost 24-14. Jacobs was efficient on the ground, totaling 95 rushing yards on just 13 attempts before the Packers were in catch-up mode for the sizable portion of the second-half. In the receiving game, Jacobs also added two catches for 13 yards on three targets. With the Packers on bye heading into Week 10, that will give Jacobs this week to get healthy before a divisional slugfest with the Chicago Bears in Week 11. For that contest, Jacobs should be considered a low-end RB1 for fantasy purposes given his huge chunk of the rushing volume for the Packers.

Nov 3 3:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) is officially active for Week 9 against the Detroit Lions. He had been listed as questionable after logging a pair of limited practices prior to this weekend. The 26-year-old has been quite productive in his first season with Green Bay, tallying 667 rushing yards, 115 receiving yards, and four touchdowns while ranking as the overall RB11. He's worth deploying as a low-end RB1 this week, especially with rainy conditions expected to necessitate a run-heavy gameplan for both Green Bay and Detroit.

Nov 3 1:00am ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) is expected to suit up for Sunday's NFC North clash with the Lions. The veteran didn't practice on Wednesday, although he logged limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. However, it wasn't enough to prevent him from earning a questionable tag for Week 9. The 26-year-old is coming off a strong showing, amassing 25 carries for 127 yards and two scores in the Week 8 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Unfortunately, Jacobs will have a challenging matchup against a Lions defense that has held opposing running backs in check this season, so fantasy managers could see him finish below expectations. With that said, he's still a must-start in all formats.

Nov 1 5:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Jacobs sat out during Wednesday's practice but was upgraded to a limited participant during Thursday and Friday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the weekend. Jacobs is coming off his best performance of the season as he tallied 127 yards off 25 carries and found the end zone twice. If Jacobs is unable to suit up, fantasy managers should expect Emanuel Wilson to see the majority of carries. Wilson would only be viewed as a low-end flex option as the Lions have allowed the second-fewest PPR points to opposing RBs this season.

Oct 31 2:40pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) is practicing on Thursday after missing Wednesday's session with an ankle injury. Hopefully, his Wednesday absence was precautionary and he'll be good to go for the Week 9 game against the Detroit Lions. Jacobs is the current RB9 in half-PPR formats, averaging 13.6 fantasy points per game behind 667 rushing yards, 115 receiving yards, and four total touchdowns. The Lions have surrendered the third-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season, but Jacobs remains a virtual must-start if he plays since he is averaging 20.3 touches per game (sixth-most). Emanuel Wilson is the clear RB2 in Green Bay, so he'd be a must-add ball-carrier if Jacobs suffers any setbacks and cannot play in the NFC North showdown.

Oct 30 3:20pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (undisclosed) is not participating in Wednesday's practice. It will be unclear what is holding Jacobs out until the team releases its official injury report after practice wraps up, but hopefully, it's more of a rest absence instead of a notable injury. The former Las Vegas Raider has gotten out to a solid start with his new team, rushing 145 times for 667 yards and three touchdowns. He also has one receiving score. His lack of touchdowns is hurting his fantasy production, but he ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards. If Jacobs is good to go for Week 9 against the Detroit Lions, he carries a mid-level RB2 outlook for the upcoming slate. The Lions have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season, but Jacobs' workload in a high-powered offense gives him a favorable fantasy floor and ceiling in any matchup. If he's at risk of missing Sunday's game, Emanuel Wilson will become a hot waiver wire add worth starting.

Packers' RB Josh Jacobs scored 25.70 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 8 win in Jacksonville. Jacobs ran for 127 yards and caught one pass for -2 yards with two touchdowns. It's the 1st time this season Jacobs scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Oct 27 9:54pm ET

Dynasty | Packers running back Josh Jacobs had 127 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a win against Jacksonville. Dynasty Analysis: He added one catch for -2 yards. This was one of his best days as a Packer by far and it's even more notable because it looks like Jordan Love could miss some time with a groin injury. Regardless, Jacobs has been a workhorse for Green Bay and has done the same for dynasty managers all season. He's a prime trade target for a contending team as we get close to November.

Oct 27 5:40pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs had a huge day in the Packers' 30-27 victory on the road in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. Jacobs took 25 carries and turned them into 127 rushing yards and two touchdown scores on the afternoon. Kicking off the scoring on the day was Jacobs with a three-yard touchdown plunge early in the first quarter. Jacobs put the Packers in the lead at the end of the third quarter with a 38-yard score, his longest run of the season. He also added one reception for -2 yards on two targets. With Jacobs and the Packers hosting the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions in Week 9, Jacobs should be considered a low-end RB1 in fantasy for the matchup.

Packers' RB Josh Jacobs ran for 127 yards on 25 carries with two touchdowns in Sunday's win in Jacksonville.

Oct 25 6:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is likely to get plenty of volume, but his upside may be capped a bit when Jacobs and Packers travel down to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars in Week 8. While the Jaguars' defense is susceptible through the air, they're a true pass funnel defense as they are 12th in defensive EPA allowed per rushing attempt. With Jacobs, he's relied a ton on volume rather than efficiency, as he's had just one top-12 finish amongst running backs this season. Jacobs enters Week 8 with just two touchdowns on the season and only one 100-yard game, so we're really relying on the touchdown here to make for a good week. While Jacobs has a very stable floor for fantasy managers, the ceiling hasn't been there this season, making him a volume-dependent RB2 option in Week 8 against the Jaguars with the hope that he scores.

Oct 20 5:20pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was solidly effective for the Packers as he capped off his afternoon in Week 7 with a touchdown reception in the Packers' 24-22 victory. Jacobs averaged over 6.0 yards per carry, totaling 72 rushing yards on just 12 carries. Jacobs also caught 5-of-5 targets for 16 yards, including an eight-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Jordan Love in the third quarter. That touchdown grab was the first of his career and ended his streak of 211 receptions without a receiving touchdown; the longest in NFL history. While the passing game was on display for the Packers for much of the game, Jacobs was plenty involved and had a quality day for fantasy purposes. He'll look to continue that momentum as the Packers head south to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8, where Jacobs should be considered a low-end RB1 for that matchup.

Oct 18 5:50pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been solid, yet unspectacular this season. He will get another opportunity to get into the scoring column as the Packers host the Houston Texans in Week 7. Jacobs has gotten the lion's share of opportunity as the top rusher in Green Bay but has parlayed that into just one top-12 fantasy week in six games. He's been a high-floor, low-ceiling option at running back and has just one touchdown to his credit in Week 5 against the Rams. With both offenses stacked with options, it could be the running backs, namely Jacobs, that turn the tide and become the difference as the Texans have allowed the fourth-most yards after contact per attempt and Jacobs has been solid (29th of 61 qualified backs) in that regard. Look for Jacobs to be on that low-end RB/high-end RB2 line in Week 7 for fantasy purposes.

From RotoBaller

Oct 13 4:30pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was solidly involved in the Packers' 34-13 victory against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Jacobs took 18-of-29 running back carries on the afternoon for 62 rushing yards. He also caught all three of his targets on day for 29 yards, to account for the most total yards of any skill-position player on the team. All four offensive scores came via the pass from Jordan Love, but the run was utilized heavily as the team had a total of 38 rushes to 32 pass attempts. Jacobs' workhorse role was slightly in question with Emanuel Wilson's emergence but after Love returned, Wilson has merely spelled Jacobs. The Packers stay home in Week 7 to match up with the Houston Texans, where Jacobs will be a low-end RB1 for fantasy purposes.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 6:20pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs looks to keep his solid run going when the Packers host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Jacobs scored his first touchdown as a Packer last week and totaled 94 total yards in their win over the Rams in Week 5. Jacobs should find many more running lanes against the Cardinals, who are a bottom-six defense in EPA/rush attempt on the season. Arizona has given up at least 80 yards rushing to four running backs in the last three weeks, so Jacobs should be in line for a quality day with the safe and solid volume he gets each week. Fantasy managers should feel secure in slotting Jacobs into their lineups as a RB1 option in most weeks and that doesn't change in Week 6.

From RotoBaller

Oct 6 8:40pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was solid, yet unspectacular in the Packers' 24-19 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. Jacobs paced the team with 19 carries for 73 yards including a first-quarter rushing score from two yards out to kick off the scoring for the Packers. In addition to Jacobs' rushing prowess, he also added a 21-yard catch on his only target for a final total of 94 yards from scrimmage. Week 5's performance was Jacobs' best game of the season in terms of fantasy and now that he got his first touchdown of the season, Jacobs will head back home in Week 6 to host the Cardinals as a low-end RB1 for fantasy purposes.

Oct 4 6:50pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has a solid matchup on tap as the Packers head to SoFi Stadium to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. While Jacobs has been solid this season, he hasn't put up a top-20 fantasy finish in any of the four games he's played this season despite plenty of opportunity. Jacobs is also looking to get into the scoring column, as he hasn't scored a touchdown this season either. Despite the Packers' willingness to give fellow running back Emanuel Wilson more and more opportunity, Jacobs has a great matchup as the Rams are one of the worst defenses in football stopping the run, as they're 31st in DVOA against the run. Positive regression is on Jacobs' side here, so fire up Jacobs as a low-end fantasy RB1 in this excellent matchup.

Sep 29 5:20pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was a solid producer in the Packers' narrow loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. Jacobs only received nine carries but made the most of them with 51 yards rushing as the Packers needed to employ the passing game for most of the second half. On six targets from the returning Jordan Love, Jacobs added four receptions for 27 yards on the afternoon. Jacobs' lack of rushing involvement can easily be attributed to the game script as the Packers were down 28-7 at halftime before putting up a furious comeback attempt. With the Packers heading to the Pacific Time Zone to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5, fire up Jacobs as a low-end fantasy RB1 who should have much more involvement.

From RotoBaller

Sep 27 5:40pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been solid all season but will face a stout Minnesota Vikings defense on Sunday at Lambeau Field. The Vikings are a top-seven in defensive EPA per rush. Having given up the sixth-fewest fantasy points to the running back position this season, Jacobs has a tall task ahead of him to carve out an RB1 week. That said, Jordan Love (knee) is questionable to return under center for the Packers, so the overall outlook on the Packers' chances against the Vikings is dramatically improved if Love is the quarterback. Jacobs' snaps have decreased in three straight weeks from 73% to 52%, but he is still firmly the workhorse in this backfield, even with Emanuel Wilson taking a handful of touches in the past week or two. Jacobs isn't quite an RB1 this week but is a solid RB2 in a tough matchup this week against Minnesota.

From RotoBaller

Sep 22 4:50pm ET

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was a minor part of the Packers' 30-14 victory against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3. Jacobs tallied 43 rushing yards on the ground on 14 carries while securing his only target for a five-yard reception. Outshined by fellow running back Emanuel Wilson, Jacobs had his worst game as a Packer as he could not get much going on the day. The Packers' game plan saw Green Bay continue to emphasize the run with Malik Willis starting another game for Jordan Love (knee), who was ruled out before kickoff. For fantasy purposes, Jacobs remains a solid low-end RB1 in a tough upcoming matchup in Week 4 against the revitalized Minnesota Vikings' defensive unit.
