Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson was responsible for two touchdowns in Sunday's 38-30 win over the Titans, rushing for one and throwing for another in the contest. The 22-year-old was asked to throw just 11 times with Jonathan Taylor running wild for 218 yards on the Tennessee defense. As a result, Richardson was able to complete over 50% of his passes for just the second time this season, going 7-for-11 for 131 yards and a 1:1 TD:INT. Taylor wasn't the only one to see success on the ground, as Richardson rushed nine times for 70 yards as well. Week 17 brings another favorable matchup for the former first-round draft pick, with the Colts taking on the Giants. Indy is still alive in the AFC playoff race, so look for a similar game plan next week where the second-year pro likely doesn't offer much production through the air but provides a decent floor with his legs as the Colts try to stay in contention, leaving him as a volatile QB2 next Sunday.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson found the end zone via the rush for the fourth time in the last four weeks in Week 15, but had another horrendous day throwing the football, completing 50% or less of his passes for the eighth time in the nine full games he's played in 2024 while throwing two interceptions. Things won't get any easier in Week 16 as the Colts have a divisional matchup with the Titans who have allowed the 11th-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Wide receiver Alec Pierce has been ruled out after sustaining a concussion last week, which actually may help improve the 22-year-old's completion rate since he likes to throw the ball deep and Pierce leads the entire NFL in average depth of target. Therefore, targets could be focused more on intermediate, higher-percentage throws. Regardless of whether or not that holds true, with fantasy titles hanging in the balance, managers who are streaming QBs will want to look elsewhere if possible as the former first-round draft pick projects only as a mid-range QB2 in Week 16.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson was ineffective through the air yet again in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Broncos, completing 17 of 38 pass attempts for 172 yards and no touchdowns while throwing two interceptions. The 22-year-old added seven rush attempts for 46 yards and ran one in for a TD. It was his fifth rushing touchdown on the season and fourth in the last four games since being reinserted as the starter. The problem is that his completion rate stands at 47% on the season and the former first-round draft pick has an ugly 7:11 TD:INT. The second-year pro will have an easier matchup next week at home against the Titans who are middle of the pack in allowing fantasy points to quarterbacks, but he'll make for a risky play for those still left in the fantasy playoffs next week.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson had a great fantasy day in Week 13, throwing two touchdown passes, rushing for a touchdown, and scoring a two-point conversion. Fresh off their bye week, the 22-year-old has had an extra week to prepare for Sunday's matchup, although it remains to be seen whether or not that was enough time to fix the problems that have led to a 47.4% completion rate on the season. The former first-round draft pick will take on a Denver defense that has been generally good against the pass, having allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, however, the Browns' Jameis Winston torched the defense for 497 yards and four touchdowns their last time out (albeit with three INTs as well). Holding Richardson's fantasy value afloat is his legs, averaging nearly nine attempts, 47 yards, and a TD per contest in the three games since being reinserted as the starter. View the second-year pro as a mid-range QB2 this week who has some upside with his legs given his nose for the end zone.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson completed just 12 of 24 pass attempts for 109 yards in Sunday's 25-24 win over the Patriots. Despite those lackluster numbers, the 22-year-old had a strong fantasy day as he threw two touchdown passes, rushed nine times for 48 yards and a touchdown, while adding a two-point conversion with 12 seconds left in the game that gave the Colts the one-point victory. He also threw two interceptions in the contest. While it hasn't been pretty, the second-year pro has gotten it done for fantasy in two of the last three games since being reinserted as the starter with six TDs combined on the ground and via the pass. However, he'll have a hard time putting up significant numbers in Week 15 when the Colts come out of their bye week, as they will have to travel to Denver to take on the Broncos' pass defense that has allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs coming into Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is coming off a Week 12 performance in which he completed less than 40 percent of his passes and has just a 47.1% completion rate on the year. Not only that, with just a 5:7 TD:INT in seven starts and missing Josh Downs, the 22-year-old won't instill managers with much confidence to use him in their lineups in Week 13. On the other hand, the second-year pro has had double-digit rush attempts in three of the last four games he's played and scored twice on the ground during that time. His rushing ability, combined with facing the Patriots this week, does offer a glimmer of hope that the former first-round draft pick could make for a viable streaming option if needed. The Patriots have allowed the 12th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, but have yielded four touchdown passes in back-to-back weeks now and 16 in their last seven games, compared to just three pass TDs in the first five weeks. Add it up, and Richardson has the makings of a high-end QB2 this week, with QB1 upside given his penchant for finding the end zone via the rush.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson reverted to his inefficient ways on Sunday in a 24-6 loss to the Lions. A week after completing 66.7% of his passes and accounting for three touchdowns (one pass, two rush), the 22-year-old completed just 11 of 28 pass attempts (39.3%) for 172 yards and no TDs. He added 10 rushes for 61 yards, but no scores there either. On the bright side, the second-year pro did not turn the ball over at all. It's the third time in his last four starts that he's failed to complete more than 11 passes or surpass 175 yards, and the former first-round draft pick has thrown just two TD passes during that time, so managers are relying on rushing TDs which makes him a risky play from week-to-week. Week 13 brings a matchup with the Patriots who just allowed Tua Tagovailoa to shred them for 317 yards and four TDs, but it's hard to envision Richardson having that kind of success.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is coming off his best fantasy performance since Week 1 after accounting for three touchdowns in Week 11. In Week 12, the Colts draw the Lions and they will be seven-point home underdogs in a game that features a high expected total (50). Although the 22-year-old completed 67% of his passes last week, he still has just a 48.5% completion rate for the season, so Indy would prefer to not have to play catch-up all day through the air. Look for the Colts to attempt to keep the ball out of Jared Goff's hands by sticking to the run for as long as possible, as difficult a task as that may be against a rush defense that has allowed the fifth-fewest rush yards per game this season. Still, Richardson should have a decent floor with his rushing ability and has a decent chance to score if they get down close. View the former first-round draft pick as a high-end QB2, with his rushing ability giving him QB1 upside this week.

Colts' QB Anthony Richardson scored an impressive 31.80 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 11 win in New York Jets. Richardson threw for 272 yards on 20-of-30 with one touchdown.
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson put himself back on the fantasy map on Sunday, totaling three TDs, one via pass and two via rush, in a tight 28-27 win over the Jets. Coming into the game with a 44.4% completion rate, the 22-year-old completed 20 of 30 pass attempts (66.7%) for 272 yards and a touchdown. While it was an improvement for sure, especially given that he did not throw an interception, it wasn't pretty at times and the former first-round draft pick fumbled twice, losing one of them. The 6-foot-4 signal-caller added 10 rushes for 32 yards and two scores, finishing the day well within the top 10 at the position in fantasy scoring. The Colts and Richardson will have a tough matchup at home next week against the Lions, but it may be fruitful for fantasy if they are playing from behind all day.

Dynasty | Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson completed 20-of-30 passes for 272 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions, adding 32 rushing yards and two more scores in a win against the Jets. Dynasty Analysis: This may have been the best game he's played in his young career. After being benched for Joe Flacco, Richardson looked energized today and also in control, something we hadn't seen much of this season. The Jets area. mess, but this was a huge step in the right direction and should put his dynasty value drop to a sudden halt.
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson will be back under center for the first time since Week 8 after Joe Flacco led the team over the last two weeks. According to head coach Shane Steichen, Richardson will be the QB for the remainder of the season, but hopefully it will yield better results this time around. The 23-year-old produced an unsightly 44.4% completion rate in the six games he's played in this season and a subpar 4:7 TD:INT. His saving grace for fantasy was the fact that he gained at least 24 rush yards in each of those contests, but the only time he managed to punch one in for a score was way back in Week 1. With a poor matchup against the Jets on the road on tap in Week 11, it will be a challenge to put up useful fantasy output against a defense allowing the eighth-fewest points to opposing signal-callers and versus an opponent that is playing at home in desperate need of a win. The former first-round pick is a low-end QB2 for Sunday with a tiny bit of upside because of his legs.

Dynasty | The Colts will start Anthony Richardson at quarterback this week. Dynasty Analysis: Richardson will get another chance to show he can be the future for Indianapolis after Joe Flacco failed to spark the team after he was benched a few weeks ago. This will be a very important stretch of games coming for Richardson (and his dynasty managers) as this may very well be his last chance to prove he's the future for the Colts. His dynasty value is slipping and will plummet if he fails. Stay tuned.
The Indianapolis Colts are going back to quarterback Anthony Richardson as their starter over Joe Flacco for the Week 11 game this Sunday on the road against the New York Jets. Flacco took over for a struggling Richardson in Week 9 and has led the Colts to two straight losses, so Indy will go back to the fourth overall pick out of Florida from last year. The 22-year-old possesses elite rushing ability with his legs, but he's proven very injury-prone early in his career and has had even bigger issues with his accuracy as a passer. Based on his rushing ability alone, Richardson will have QB1 upside for fantasy managers in his return to the starting role this weekend, although the Jets defense isn't the greatest matchup. If you're in need of QB help in Week 11 and Richardson is available, consider scooping him up. Head coach Shane Steichen said Richardson will be the starter for the rest of the season.

Dynasty | The Colts have rebuffed trade inquiries for quarterback Anthony Richardson. Dynasty Analysis: Richardson has clearly not developed as quickly as the Colts had hoped he would, but it seems they're also not willing to sell him for pennies on the dollar, either. Had Joe Flacco ignited the offense yet again this week, things may have changed. However, Richardson could be in line to start again this year if Flacco struggles. Regardless, Richardson's dynasty value is falling quickly and he needs to show something soon to recoup it.
Although a trade is considered unlikely, NFL teams have inquired with the Indianapolis Colts about the possibility of trading quarterback Anthony Richardson, who was benched in favor of veteran Joe Flacco for Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings. FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz says that several teams that he spoke to still view Richardson as a franchise-caliber QB and think that the Colts pulling the plug on him after 10 regular-season starts is "premature." Richardson's fantasy stock has taken a major hit, as he's now rostered in only 49% of Yahoo leagues after his benching, but the Colts could go back to the young signal-caller if Flacco struggles at all. Head coach Shane Steichen said himself that the Colts are "not giving up on Richardson by any means." Still, the 22-year-old's struggles as a passer have been glaring, and he's also proven to be quite injury-prone early in his NFL career.

Dynasty | The Colts have benched quarterback Anthony Richardson. Dynasty Analysis: The Colts are 4-4 and it seems Head Coach Shane Steichen may be feeling some heat. Richardson has come under fire this week after "tapping out" during the Colts most recent contest and has been borderline miserable all year, posting just 958 passing yards with four touchdowns and seven interceptions on a completion percentage of, wait for it, 44.4%. The Colts will turn to Joe Flacco and say all the right things, but Richardson may have just lost the locker room for good. His dynasty value is going to start sinking quickly after this move.
The Indianapolis Colts will roll with veteran Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback on Sunday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings following the early-career struggles of Anthony Richardson. Richardson has started in just 10 games since being selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, completing 50.2% of his passes for 1,535 yards, seven touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He's racked up 378 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. The Colts are moving him to the bench, but that does not mean his time in Indianapolis is nearing an end. ESPN Colts writer Stephen Holder reporters a team source told him, "We are not quitting on Anthony. That will be the story, but that is not the case." Either way, this is somewhat of a surprising development since most viewed Richardson as a long-term project due to his lack of experience in college and the NFL. Fantasy managers might consider dropping Richardson in redraft leagues, but he remains a hold in dynasty formats.
From RotoBaller
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has been benched, with Joe Flacco taking over as the starter. The veteran quarterback will start Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings, his fourth this season. Richardson has struggled this season, completing only 44.4% of his pass attempts in six games. Many wonder if the team is giving up on the former No. 4 overall pick too quickly. However, fantasy players welcome the change at quarterback. Flacco has been significantly better for the Colts' pass catchers, especially Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs. Flacco is a must-add off the waiver wire in single-quarterback and superflex leagues. Meanwhile, Pittman and Downs have WR2 upside with the veteran under center. a
From RotoBaller
Per Arye Pulli of the NFL, Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen would not commit to Anthony Richardson starting at quarterback in Week 9. "We're evaluating everything," proclaimed Steichen. Yikes. It's a rough turn of events for the second-year starter, but not exactly one that's a surprise. The former Florida Gator has had a tough go in his appearances this season, failing to complete more than ten passes in 4-of-5 contests that he's played the entire game. Alternatively, veteran Joe Flacco excelled in his three outings, tossing seven touchdowns to just one interception. Fantasy managers must track this developing story ahead of the team's Week 9 road matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. If the team does turn to Flacco, it'd be an instant boost for the outlooks of Indy's pass-catchers. Stay tuned.
