Reynolds was with the Broncos and Jaguars last year, getting most of his chances with Denver to open the season. He had 12 receptions for 183 yards in five games with the Broncos. Reynolds had just a catch in four games with the Jaguars. It was not the season he hoped after having at last 38 receptions two straight seasons. Reynolds is trending the wrong way at this stage of his career, hoping to keep a roster spot. Reynolds had 20-plus receptions six straight seasons before last year. Reynolds can be a top vertical threat. He has good speed and his height makes him an even more dangerous deep threat. His underneath route running has improved since entering the league, making him a more complete receiver.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Reynolds isn't much of a fantasy option. He might have a big game or two but that is about it. Reynolds might get 20 receptions for 250 yards.

New York Jets WR Josh Reynolds is the 'clear favorite for the WR2 job,' according to ESPN.com's Rich Cimini.
Fantasy Spin: Most notably, it means Reynolds is running ahead of Allen Lazard and fourth-round speedster Arian Smith. How much it actually means for fantasy is another story, since the winner of the receiver battle figures to be the third-best option - behind Garrett Wilson and rookie Mason Taylor - in a one-read, RPO-heavy offense that caters to Justin Fields' skill set. The winner of the No. 2 receiver battle can probably be ignored in all but the deepest leagues.

New York Jets WR Josh Reynolds is the clear favorite for the No. 2 wide receiver job entering training camp, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Rich Cimini.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation to see if Reynolds will be able to hold onto the starting job. He is coming off a disappointing 2024 season but did post 608 receiving yards a few years ago. He could be a possible late round option in some leagues but will not be a starting option most leagues.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets wide receiver Josh Reynolds is the early front-runner to take over as the team's No. 2 receiver behind Garrett Wilson this year, according to The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt. Reynolds is the only player the Jets added this offseason that has ties to new head coach Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand from their time with the Lions. The team values Reynolds' willingness as a blocker, and he has built some nice chemistry with QB Justin Fields early on. Allen Lazard still has a role to play on this team, but as of minicamp, he appears to be behind Reynolds. The 30-year-old Reynolds dealt with injuries last year and caught only 13 passes for 194 yards and one TD with Denver and Jacksonville. It sounds like he'll have a bigger role with the Jets, but it's unlikely to yield much production for fantasy managers in what is expected to be a run-heavy offense in 2025.

New York Jets WR Allen Lazard and WR Josh Reynolds are believed to be the two leading candidates for the No.2 receiver job entering training camp, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Rich Cimini.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players can monitor the situation to see which receiver will win the starting job. Lazard and Reynolds probably will see a handful of targets each game but neither likely will be strong fantasy options.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets wide receiver Josh Reynolds appears to already be developing chemistry with quarterback Justin Fields. Reynolds, who inked a one-year deal with the Jets in March, was observed "connecting on some nice passes during OTAs." The franchise is heading in a new direction, with Fields taking over under center for Aaron Rodgers, who is now a Pittsburgh Steeler. Garrett Wilson is the top wideout on the depth chart. However, the No. 2 spot is seemingly up for grabs. Reynolds has been in the National Football League since 2017, suiting up through the years for the Rams, Titans, Lions, Broncos, and Jaguars. In 116 games, he's amassed 233 catches for 3,127 yards and 20 touchdowns. For now, he won't see much attention from fantasy managers heading into the 2025-26 campaign. Still, Reynolds has a chance to earn routine attention from Fields during the season, assuming the duo continue to build chemistry in camp. If that happens, it might not be good for the potential production of Allen Lazard, Tyler Johnson, and Arian Smith, among others.

Dynasty | The Jets have signed wide receiver Josh Reynolds. Dynasty Analysis: The veteran has spent time with the Rams, Titans, Lions, Broncos and Jaguars over his ten years, posting 233 career catches for 3,127 yards and 20 touchdowns. He'll provide some decent depth for the Jets, but having him on your dynasty roster at this point would be a pretty clear indication you're not winning your dynasty title next season.
The New York Jets are signing free-agent wide receiver Josh Reynolds to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million on Thursday, sources tell NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. New general manager Darren Mougey is familiar with Reynolds from their time together with the Denver Broncos last year. The 30-year-old veteran wideout also spent time in 2023 with the Detroit Lions and with the Jacksonville Jaguars to close out last season. With Denver and Jacksonville in 2024, Reynolds combined for only 13 receptions on 24 targets for 194 yards and one touchdown in nine games played (two starts). The former fourth-round pick (117th overall) by the Los Angeles Rams in 2017 out of Texas A&M will now head to New York, where he'll be battling for a complementary role behind Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and Xavier Gipson. Barring injuries, Reynolds will be avoidable in 12-team fantasy leagues this fall.
