Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dyami Brown (lower body) was a full practice participant at training camp on Tuesday after he was held out of the team's second preseason game on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints with stiffness in his lower body, according to Mia O'Brien. First-round receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter (upper body) also missed Sunday's exhibition contest and is day-to-day. Jacksonville's receiving corps is a little banged up, but Brown's and Hunter's injuries aren't serious enough to put them in danger of missing Week 1 of the regular season. The 25-year-old Brown has made some noise in camp this summer as he battles for the WR3 role with Parker Washington behind Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr. He had a career-best 308 receiving yards and one touchdown in 16 games for the Commanders in 2024, but Brown will be left to the waiver wire in most 12-team fantasy formats.

The 25-year-old was slow to begin training camp heading into his first season with the Jaguars, but he has turned it around as he seeks to win a depth role in the passing attack in 2025. He is projected to be the team's WR3 behind Brian Thomas Jr. and rookie Travis Hunter, and he's developed some strong chemistry with Lawrence. Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dyami Brown had the "best day of the wide receivers" in practice on Thursday and has shown "good chemistry" with quarterback Trevor Lawrence, according to John Shipley of Sports Illustrated. Brown is entering his first season in Jacksonville after spending the first four years of his career with the Washington Commanders. In 63 career games (10 starts) for Washington, he racked up 59 catches for 784 yards and four touchdowns. Brown has specialized as a downfield threat who can punish defenses over the top with his speed, which could be a nice fit alongside Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter in Jacksonville. The Jags are thin at receiver behind their two young stars, with Parker Washington and Austin Trammell profiling as Brown's main competition for the WR3 role.

Shipley writes that Brown made it clear that defenses will not be able to afford considering him an afterthought alongside Brian Thomas Jr. and rookie first-rounder Travis Hunter. Brown ran crisp routes and was one of the few receivers who didn't deal with drops while making explosive plays through the air and on designed touches as a ball-carrier. The 25-year-old earned praise from both head coach Liam Coen and offensive coordinator Grant Udinski. Brown, a former third-rounder by the Washington Commanders in 2021 out of North Carolina, mostly lingered at the bottom of the wideout depth chart in D.C. Jacksonville Jaguars general manager James Gladstone said new wide receiver Dyami Brown has untapped potential, and new head coach Liam Coen thinks having a speedy player like Brown opposite of Brian Thomas Jr. will pay dividends in 2025. "You look at somebody that's able to attack the field at all three levels. He can go down the field on the post, in the go, in the pylons and be the top shelf, but also you can throw him a screen and he can go and do something with it. I can't coach that," Coen said. Most of the damage Brown did last year came in the playoffs, as he caught 14 passes on 18 targets for 229 yards and a touchdown in three games while going for a 30-308-1 line in 16 regular-season games (three starts). The 25-year-old former second-rounder probably won't see a ton of targets behind Thomas, but he could be a sleeper to target in deeper fantasy leagues as the Jags look to replace a lot of production from the departures of Christian Kirk and Evan Engram.

Dynasty Analysis: Brown has always been a bit of a sleeper in dynasty circles but could never string together enough games in Washington to really be a consideration in lineups. He could get that chance in Jacksonville, however. This landing spot is sneaky good for him and he should remain on dynasty radars as a result.
