The Minnesota Vikings anticipate a suspension coming at some point for wide receiver Jordan Addison, who faces drunken-driving charges in California after his arrest there last month. But due to the speed with which these matters move at the league office, the Vikings believe that any suspension would come either late this season or during the 2025 offseason. There was some concern that an Addison suspension could overlap with the early part of the season when they'll be without tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee), but that doesn't seem likely. Fantasy managers considering taking Addison in upcoming drafts will want to be prepared to lose him at perhaps the most important time later in the year, but they can rest easy knowing he shouldn't be suspended early in 2024, and perhaps maybe not at all in his second NFL campaign.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was charged with two misdemeanors -- driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with .08% blood-alcohol content -- after a west Los Angeles police officer found him asleep at the wheel of a Rolls Royce that was blocking a lane of interstate 105 westbound near Los Angeles International airport last month. Addison has been assigned an Oct. 7 arraignment and plea hearing in LA. He could face an NFL suspension once the legal proceedings are complete, clouding his fantasy value ahead of his second year in the league. The 22-year-old former second-rounder was excellent in his rookie campaign in 2023, catching 70 of 108 targets for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns in 17 games, taking advantage of Justin Jefferson's injury. Even if Addison faces a short suspension to begin the year, he's worth taking as a WR4/flex option in fantasy.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison spoke publicly on Sunday about his arrest in July for the first time. The second-year wideout vowed to "keep learning" after his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. He also said that he was "surprised by the support he received" from his teammates and coaches. Addison stated that he was in a dark place and the team helped him come out of it and return to the field at a high level. Head coach Kevin O'Connell and teammate Justin Jefferson spoke in support of Addison as well. There could still be a suspension in the near future, but Addison will be participating in training camp in the meantime.

Dynasty | Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has been arrested on suspicion of DUI. Dynasty Analysis: This is Addison's second driving related incident following last year's episode where he was clocked at more than 140 mph. They're all serious but Addison was reportedly found asleep behind the wheel of a Rolls Royce. Even more concerning, this comes on the heels of the death of one his new teammates in an auto accident not more than a week ago. While Addison may avoid suspension, this is a pattern of behavior dynasty managers simply cannot like. He remains a hold at this point while the legal process plays out.

According to a report from the Los Angeles Daily News, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested on Friday night for suspicion of DUI. Police were notified and responded to an area near LAX, where Addison was reportedly found asleep at the wheel and blocking several lanes. He was taken into custody and released a few hours later. The 2023 No. 23 overall pick finished his first year in the NFL by amassing 70 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns. While it's unknown if Addison will face any discipline from the NFL or team, his fantasy stock could take a hit from managers unwilling to draft him in fear of a possible suspension.

Minnesota Vikings second-year wide receiver Jordan Addison produced one of the most notable springs of any Vikings player during organized team activities and mandatory minicamp this offseason, taking full advantage of his first NFL offseason to set himself up for an even better year after impressing as a rookie in 2023. Addison was hurt and missed most of the team's spring workouts last year after he was the 23rd overall pick in the draft. Still, he was one of four players in modern NFL history to record at least 70 receptions, 900 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in his rookie campaign. He showed a natural instinct for getting open and developed a reputation for making tough catches as well. Addison has a bright future, but fantasy managers in 2024 may want to temper expectations a bit now that quarterback Kirk Cousins is gone. He's a fine WR4/flex target but could be a bit more inconsistent with Sam Darnold throwing him the pigskin.
