Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) will look for another big game in Week 9 when the Chargers face off against the Cleveland Browns. McConkey has been dealing with a hip issue and has missed some practice time lately, but he comes into this game without an injury designation after getting full practices in on Thursday and Friday. McConkey is coming off a two touchdown game that landed him as the overall fantasy WR2, but with Quentin Johnston (ankle) and D.J. Chark (groin) both expected back, McConkey might not see quite as many targets as he has the past few games. Still, he's a high-floor option as a WR2 with a decent ceiling as well.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) was upgraded to a full participant during Thursday's practice. This is great news for fantasy managers after McConkey was limited to begin the week. The rookie wideout has been playing through a hip issue lately, but it doesn't appear to be impacting his performance. He hauled in all six of his targets for 111 yards and two touchdowns last week. Fantasy managers might be able to trust him as a WR2 against the shaky Cleveland Browns secondary in Week 9.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) was limited during practice on Wednesday. While it's always noteworthy when someone appears on the injury report, McConkey is trending in the right direction. After all, he was able to get on the field Wednesday and still has four days to get even healthier before the Chargers face the Cleveland Browns. The rookie, who totaled 111 yards and two touchdowns last Sunday, is a low-end fantasy WR3 for Week 9.
From RotoBaller
Chargers' WR Ladd McConkey scored 29.10 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 8 win against the Saints. McConkey caught six passes for 111 yards with two touchdowns.
Dynasty | Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey had six catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns in a win against New Orleans. Dynasty Analysis: McConkey's 60-yard touchdown reception was the highlight of the game and while he was third in the pecking order in terms of targets, he caught all six of them and posted the best game of his young career. This was a much-needed breakout performance for McConkey, who now really does look the part of a top-ten rookie draft pick. His dynasty value should rise a touch after this one.
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) had his best game as a pro so far in a Week 8 win over the New Orleans Saints. McConkey made six catches on six targets, gaining 111 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Despite missing some practices during the week with a hip injury, McConkey looked excellent in this game, scoring his first touchdown in the third quarter on a 60 yard play and his second in the fourth on a nine-yard pass into the corner of the end zone. It was an impressive performance by the rookie product out of Georgia, who should once again be in the WR2 conversation in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns.
From RotoBaller
Chargers' WR Ladd McConkey had 6 receptions for 111 yards with two touchdowns in Sunday's win against the Saints.
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) is expected to play in Sunday's matchup with the Saints. The rookie has 24 catches for 265 yards and two touchdowns this season, so he's the best pass-catcher on the roster. Naturally, there was some concern when he missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday before logging a limited session on Friday. However, it appears McConkey will be good to go, which is certainly good news, considering Will Dissly (shoulder) and Quentin Johnston (ankle) are also carrying injury designations. With that in mind, McConkey deserves starting fantasy consideration in Week 8, even if DJ Chark Jr. (groin) is back on the field.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) and tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) are both officially questionable for Sunday's home matchup against the New Orleans Saints. LA's pass-catchers both kicked off the week tagged with DNPs, though it took the former until Friday to log a limited session, while the latter did so twice this week. Tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) is also questionable for the contest, while wide receivers Quentin Johnston (ankle) and Derius Davis (hamstring) have both been deemed doubtful. It's been quite the whirlwind of injuries for the Chargers over the last few weeks. With a litany of athletes' statuses in question, tight ends Stone Smartt and Eric Tomlinson and wide receivers Joshua Palmer, Simi Fehoko, and Brenden Rice are the only Chargers pass-catchers not to carry a designation ahead of Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receivers Quentin Johnson (ankle) and Ladd McConkey (hip) remained sidelined during practice on Thursday. Both wideouts sat out during Wednesday's initial practice session as well. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor their status on Friday as they both could be in danger of missing Sunday's game. Johnson sat out during last Monday's game due to an ankle injury while McConkey is still battling a lingering hip injury. He was able to suit up in Week 7. If both wideouts are unable to play or limited during Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, Joshua Palmer and tight end Will Dissly should see an increase in targets.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receivers Ladd McConkey (hip) and Quentin Johnston (ankle) were both tagged with DNPs on Wednesday to open the week. Johnston was listed as doubtful heading into Week 7 but was eventually ruled out and has yet to practice in any capacity since picking up an ankle injury in the team's 23-16 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 6. McConkey's hip ailment occurred in Week 6, but he played 57 snaps in the contest (86%). It's possible this was just a maintenance day for the early second-round pick, so look for his practice participation later this week to hint at his Sunday status. With wideout Derius Davis (hamstring) also not practicing Wednesday, Joshua Palmer, Simi Fehoko, and Brenden Rice are the only receivers without a designation on the active roster at the position.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey made five catches in a Week 7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. McConkey ended up with seven targets and five catches, both good for second-most on the team behind tight end Will Dissly. He gained 46 yards, which was third highest. McConkey had a slow first half before turning it on a bit in the second half and ending up with a decent enough fantasy performance. With the Chargers throwing the ball more often, McConkey could have his fantasy arrow pointing up when the Bolts face the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receivers Ladd McConkey (hip) and Simi Fehoko (groin, shoulder) are all active for the Monday night showdown against the Arizona Cardinals after being listed as questionable on the final injury report. The rookie McConkey should be quarterback Justin Herbert's top target in a good matchup with Quentin Johnston (ankle) ruled out. The 22-year-old has caught nine of his 15 targets in the last two games for 110 yards and a touchdown, making him a worthwhile WR3/flex option for fantasy managers. McConkey and Joshua Palmer should be LA's top two receivers for this contest, with Fehoko, Brenden Rice and Jalen Reagor battling for WR3 snaps with Johnston out. In his first five NFL games, McConkey has recorded 19 receptions on 32 targets for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) is listed as questionable ahead of the Week 7 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The rookie wideout has been limited in practice this week due to a hip issue. He did exit early during last week's game, but McConkey returned to action and finished out the contest. The Chargers are already in terms of weapons at wide receiver, so losing McConkey would put them in a bad spot. Joshua Palmer figures to be the focal point of the passing attack if McConkey does end up sidelined on Monday.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receivers Ladd McConkey (hip), DJ Chark (groin) and Simi Fehoko (groin, shoulder) were all limited in practice on Thursday. In addition, Quentin Johnston (ankle) was a DNP, so LA's receiving corps is pretty banged up heading into a Monday night matchup against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7. Chark returned to practice this week for the first time since landing on Injured Reserve before the season opener, but it's unclear if he'll be activated this weekend in order to make his 2024 debut against the Cardinals. Whenever the 28-year-old does return, he'll merely be fighting for targets behind Johnston, McConkey and Joshua Palmer. The rookie McConkey has been quarterback Justin Herbert's favorite target and has 19 catches for 219 yards and two TDs in his first five NFL games. If he's active, fantasy managers should treat him as a WR3/flex against the Cardinals.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey was in and out of Week 6's win over the Denver Broncos, but appears to have escaped the game without a serious lasting injury. Several times, McConkey was forced to the sideline only to return to the game later on. In total, he was targeted eight times, making four catches for 43 yards. He led the team in targets and catches, falling one yard behind the team lead in receiving yards. McConkey has proven to be the WR1 on this offense, but it will continue to be a run-first unit that severely limits the upside of any pass catcher on the roster.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey has a tough matchup coming out of the Chargers bye week with a Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos. McConkey has clearly been the WR1 on the Chargers offense, but an obvious run-first approach has limited the rookie pass catcher to an overall WR42 ranking in fantasy points per game. He has been able to put up two WR2 finishes, however, and clearly has the upside for more. He has a 25.8% target share and a 30.5% first read share, both strong numbers. He'll face a Broncos secondary that has limited opposing slot receivers to the lowest fantasy points per target so far this season. It's a decently high floor but limited ceiling kind of matchup for McConkey in Week 6.
From RotoBaller
Dynasty | Chargers rookie receiver Ladd McConkey had five catches for 67 yards and a touchdown in a loss against the Chiefs. Dynasty Analysis: While McConkey has yet to have a monster "blow-up" game, he's been about as consistent as a rookie can get with 24 targets, 176 receiving yards and a couple of scores through the first month of the year. He'll remain a decent high floor option moving forward and seems to have justified his late first round rookie pedigree thus far.
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey scored his second NFL touchdown in a Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. McConkey led the Bolts in catches, yards, and targets and was the only Charger to score a touchdown. He ended up seeing seven targets, making five catches for 67 yards, including a seven yard touchdown on an excellent catch and throw in the first quarter. McConkey heads into the Chargers bye week as the clear top target in the passing game and should be an asset in PPR leagues especially when the Chargers return for a Week 6 game in Denver against the Broncos.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey could end up with a good game in Week 4 despite a tough matchup against a strong Kansas City Chiefs defense. McConkey has been the top receiving option for the Chargers offense, logging a 25.8% target share and a 30.7% air yard share, both leading the team. He's also second on the squad in first read share at 28.9%. The Chiefs secondary has limited most opposing receivers, but they have been somewhat exploited by slot routes, with Kansas City allowing the fourth most receptions to slot receivers so far this season. With quarterback Justin Herbert (ankle) likely to be limited if he even plays, all Chargers pass catchers should be downgraded somewhat, but McConkey is the safest bet to still produce a high floor, and he has some clear upside this week as well.
