Pittsburgh Steelers CB Cameron Sutton was reinstated following an eight-game suspension on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The Steelers were given a temporary roster exemption for Sutton, also.

Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cameron Sutton had his eight-game suspension lifted on Tuesday. Sutton was suspended this offseason for violating the league's personal conduct policy following a domestic abuse incident in the Spring. Sutton will return to a Steelers defense that is once again near the top of the league. The unit is No. 9 in yards per game allowed and No. 2 in points per game allowed. Sutton last played in 2023 for the Detroit Lions. He recorded a career-high 65 tackles and caught one interception. Sutton spent the first six years of his career in Pittsburgh and returned to the team this past offseason. He will provide depth in a crowded cornerback room that includes Joey Porter Jr., Donte Jackson, and Beanie Bishop Jr.

Pittsburgh Steelers CBs Josiah Scott and Beanie Bishop Jr. are the two most likely candidates to win the team's starting nickel cornerback job, as a result of CB Cameron Sutton receiving an eight-game suspension from the National Football League. Sutton will be eligible to return for Week 10's game versus the Washington Commanders.

Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cameron Sutton is being suspended for the first eight games of the 2024 season, according to NFL insider Ari Meirov. The stems from Sutton's arrest related to a domestic violence situation. He was charged with misdemeanor battery after he turned himself in at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in Florida on March 31. The 29-year-old struggled mightily last season with the Detroit Lions, and the team released him just before he turned himself in. He signed with Pittsburgh this offseason, where he spent the first six seasons of his professional career.
