2024 RTSports Outlook

Engram had a good first season in Jacksonville but built on that in year two, posting more career best numbers while playing as well as any fantasy tight end in the game. Engram was second overall in fantasy tight end scoring, finishing ahead of Travis Kelce. Engram had 114 receptions for 963 yards and four touchdowns. He had 10 of 17 gams with double-digit fantasy points. He also had double-digit receptions four different games. He is the favorite target of Trevor Lawrence in this offense. Engram has 70-plus receptions each of his two seasons in Jacksonville. Engram has four seasons with 60-plus receptions for his career. Engram plays more like a receiver than a tight end. He is an explosive player with a knack for making big plays. He also is a top athlete that does well in making the acrobatic catch. Engram lacked consistency early in his career but has done much better in that area in recent seasons.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Engram might have a hard time repeating last year but remains a top-five fantasy tight end in this offense. He will get the weekly looks. Expect some big games and consistent work throughout the year. Look for around 90 receptions for 900 yards and five touchdowns.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram set the single-season franchise record in 2023 with 114 catches for 963 yards and four touchdowns in 17 regular-season games to earn his second trip to the Pro Bowl. After two very successful year in Jacksonville, Engram is now looking to be a bigger downfield threat than ever before, which would include more big plays and touchdowns, perhaps putting him in the elite tight end category that includes Travis Kelce, George Kittle and Sam LaPorta. Engram's 241 targets and 187 catches over the last two years are the most of any player on the roster and the most of any TE in the NFL. His 187 catches over that span are second among TEs only to Kelce's 203. Engram was the most-targeted TE last year, and only David Njoku had more yards after the catch than his 516. But his 8.4 yards per catch ranked 26th at the position. Draft Engram as a solid midrange TE1 and hope he can deliver on his goals in his third year with the Jags.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram said he wants to become more than just an underneath target this season. 'Making more explosive plays, downfield, more touchdowns, being a bigger red zone target,' Engram said. 'Those are my goals. I think that can take it to a whole other level.'

Fantasy Spin: Engram just missed out on a 1,000-yard season in 2023, and even he doesn't generate more big plays, he should remain one of the busiest targets in the Jacksonville passing game. He should be a reliable TE1.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram has been impressive during offseason workouts, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Fantasy Spin: Engram is coming off a career-high 963 yards this past season and should continue to have a big role in the passing game for the Jaguars. He should be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues this upcoming season.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram has quietly been one of the best at his position in fantasy football over the last two seasons, and team reporter John Shipley said he has looked "fantastic" this summer at OTAs. The former first-round pick by the New York Giants in 2017 has found a great home with Jacksonville and catching passes from Trevor Lawrence. Over the last two years, he's hauled in 187 passes for 1,729 yards and eight touchdowns. He trails only Travis Kelce in receptions among tight ends since 2022, and his 114 receptions in 2023 rank second-most in a single season for tight ends all-time. After the departure of Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones, Engram should continue to be heavily targeted in 2024. Despite finishing as the TE2 (PPR) last season, he has an average draft position around the TE7 spot. He could provide immense value at cost.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram led all tight ends and finished fourth in the NFL with 114 receptions in 2023.

Fantasy Spin: Engram shattered his previous career highs in both receptions and receiving yards, and he has enjoyed the two best seasons of his career during his two seasons in Jacksonville. Engram should be a TE1 again in 2024.
