New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that quarterback Daniel Jones remains the team's starting QB heading into the team's Week 10 battle against the Carolina Panthers in Germany this Sunday. Daboll also said that he won't change anything with the practice repetitions at the position this week. While Jones didn't do anything special in the Week 9 loss to the division-rival Washington Commanders on Sunday, going 20-for-26 for 174 yards, he did throw two touchdowns to end a 672-day TD drought at MetLife Stadium. The 27-year-old former first-rounder also ran for his first touchdown of the year in the 27-22 loss but added a lost fumble. Drew Lock will remain the backup to Jones in Germany, where Jones will be an upside QB2 in fantasy in an excellent matchup against Carolina's defense.

Dynasty | Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers had nine catches for 59 yards in New York's loss to Washington. Dynasty Analysis: The yardage totals weren't great, but Nabers did catch nine passes on 11 targets, more than making up for it in PPR leagues. Nabers has proven to be dominant as a rookie this season and while his ceiling is capped with Daniel Jones as his quarterback at times, he has the looks of a top two rookie this season and long-term WR1 in dynasty leagues.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones delivered his best fantasy performance of the season in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Washington Commanders, throwing for 174 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. Jones struggled early, going into halftime with zero passing yards, but rebounded in the second half with 20 completions on 26 attempts and an efficient 6.7 yards per attempt. Adding to his fantasy value, Jones rushed for 54 yards and scored a rushing touchdown, showcasing his dual-threat ability despite being sacked twice. Finishing with 24.36 fantasy points, Jones posted his highest output of the season, making him a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing Giants loss.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will look to bounce back in Week 9 at home against the Washington Commanders after a challenging outing in Week 8, where he finished without a touchdown and threw one interception in the Giants' 26-18 loss to Pittsburgh. Jones has struggled to find the end zone this season, tallying just six passing touchdowns and zero rushing scores, which has limited his fantasy production to 14.73 points per game, ranking him 26th among QBs. He'll face a Washington defense that's been solid against opposing quarterbacks, ranking 13th in fantasy points allowed to the position and allowing only 12 passing TDs all season. Given Washington's sixth-ranked pass defense (186.8 yards per game), Jones projects as a low-ceiling option for fantasy managers, especially without a single 300-yard passing game this season.

Oct 29 12:50pm ET

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll confirmed quarterback Daniel Jones will remain the team's starter moving forward. Dan Duggan of The Athletic reported the news. Jones had another rough go in the team's 26-18 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football, falling to 2-6 as a starter in 2024. It was the fifth outing this season that he failed to notch a touchdown pass, and the Giants now sit at the bottom of the NFC East's standings. The team has scored 117 total points through eight weeks of action, by far the fewest of their divisional opponents (no other NFC East squad has less than 150[Dallas]). Still, despite his lackluster performance thus far, Daboll stays true to his sixth-year QB. The former Duke Blue Devil will get an easier matchup in Week 9 when the team hosts the visiting Washington Commanders at MetLife Stadium.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had a disappointing showing in Monday's 26-18 road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, finishing with 264 passing yards and no touchdowns. Jones completed 24 of his 38 attempts, averaging 6.9 yards per throw, but was pressured heavily, taking four sacks that disrupted the Giants' offensive rhythm. His ground game offered little relief, as he managed just one rushing yard, leaving him with only 7.66 fantasy points on the night. With a final shot to tie the game, Jones threw a game-ending interception with 34 seconds remaining, leaving the Giants and his fantasy managers frustrated as he heads into a must-bounce-back matchup in Week 9 against Washington.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was pulled from the game in the fourth quarter of the Week 7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Heading into Week 8, however, Jordan Raanan reports that the starting QB is not expected to be on a short leash and participated in all of the first-team reps at practice in preparation for this game. Fellow teammates weren't pushing for a change either, but some did note that "it might be different if Tyrod Taylor was still on the roster." Jones will look to get back on track in a tough game on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Oct 26 9:00pm ET

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones heads into a challenging Monday Night Football matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers' top-tier defense in Week 8. Jones, averaging 13.2 fantasy points per game with six passing touchdowns and zero rushing scores on the season, has yet to break 300 passing yards in any game. Coming off a 28-3 loss to the Eagles where he completed 66.7% of his passes but failed to reach the end zone, Jones faces a Steelers unit that allows only 12.18 fantasy points to QBs, ranking fourth-best in the league. Although the Giants are healthy at the skill positions, the loss of All-Pro LT Andrew Thomas compounds Jones's struggles against Pittsburgh's eighth-ranked defense, which has held opposing passers to just eight touchdowns and limits teams to 298.4 total yards per game.

The New York Giants are working out free-agent offensive tackle D.J. Humphries on Tuesday, according to NFL.com. The former first-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2015 started 98 games over the last eight seasons for the organization but was let go this offseason. The Giants are without star left tackle Andrew Thomas (foot) indefinitely due to a foot injury. After Daniel Jones was sacked eight times in the Week 7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the team is doing whatever it can to make improvements along the offensive line quickly.

Oct 20 9:40pm ET

According to head coach Brian Daboll, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will remain the team's starter moving forward. The sixth-year QB finished up his day completing 14-of-21 passes for 99 yards, adding 20 yards on the ground over his five carries. The news comes after Jones was benched in the fourth quarter of the Giant's 28-3 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles for Drew Lock. "Made a change in the fourth quarter when it was 28-3," said Daboll. "We had 100 yards, just to create a spark." It's worth mentioning that spark did not occur, as Lock led the team to three punts on his possessions, fumbling the ball twice. While the 27-year-old will garner most of the blame, there wasn't much good for the G-Men at all on Sunday. Additionally, the loss of starting left tackle Andrew Thomas (Lisfranc) was a massive blow to the team, and Jones was taken to the turf on seven separate occasions. Better days are ahead for the Duke product, but he'll get another staunch test in Week 8 when his team takes on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had a rough outing in Sunday's 28-3 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Jones completed 14 of 21 passes for just 99 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, averaging a meager 4.7 yards per attempt. He was under heavy pressure all game, taking seven sacks and managing only 20 rushing yards before being benched in the fourth quarter for Drew Lock, who threw for just six yards. With 5.96 fantasy points in Week 7, Jones and the Giants face a tough Steelers defense next in Pittsburgh.

Oct 18 11:00pm ET

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will look to bounce back in Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles after a tough Week 6 outing where he managed just 205 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception against the Bengals. Jones has struggled this season, with only six passing touchdowns and a 62.1% completion rate. However, Malik Nabers' return should spark the Giants' offense. The Eagles' defense is vulnerable against the pass, ranking 21st and allowing 218.4 yards per game, but they've given up just seven passing touchdowns. Jones must elevate his play, as the Eagles allow 15.86 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, slightly below his season average of 16.59 FPPG.

Oct 16 5:30pm ET

New York Giants star left tackle Andrew Thomas (foot) had successful surgery on Wednesday morning to fix a Lisfranc foot injury, according to sources, and is expected to miss the rest of the 2024 season. After signing a contract extension, Thomas will have played in just 16 of 34 games in his first two seasons with the club. He's one of the team's most indispensable players, so his loss will surely be felt for an offense that already was having issues moving the ball consistently through the first six weeks of the season. They could get rookie sensation Malik Nabers (concussion) back this weekend, but Thomas' injury cannot be overstated for quarterback Daniel Jones and the rest of the offense. Josh Ezeudu is expected to start on Jones' blind side moving forward. Thomas should be ready for OTAs next spring.

Oct 15 7:20pm ET

New York Giants offensive tackle Andrew Thomas (foot) suffered a potential season-ending injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. He is slated to meet with a foot expert to determine the next steps in his recovery. If Thomas were to have surgery to correct the issue, then his season would likely be over. Thomas is about as important an offensive player as any for the Giants. He is the anchor of an already shaky offensive line. His absence would significantly negatively affect the value of quarterback Daniel Jones, running backs Devin Singletary (groin) and Tyrone Tracy Jr., and wide receivers Malik Nabers (concussion) and Wan'Dale Robinson. Fantasy managers should monitor the situation closely.

Oct 14 3:10am ET

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones struggled in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, failing to find the end zone through the air or on the ground. Jones completed 22 of 41 passes for just 190 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception, averaging a meager 5.0 yards per attempt. He added 56 rushing yards, which helped pad his fantasy output, but two sacks and an overall lack of offensive efficiency limited his impact to just 12.8 fantasy points. Despite his mobility, Jones' poor passing performance continues to hold back his fantasy value, making him a risky QB option moving forward, especially against stronger defenses.

Oct 12 3:30am ET

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has had a solid start to the 2024 season, with 1,138 passing yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions through five games. Coming off a 29-20 win against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5, where he threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns, Jones will look to build momentum against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. The Bengals' pass defense ranks 18th in the NFL, allowing 214 passing yards per game and 19.63 fantasy points to quarterbacks (28th in the league), making this a favorable matchup. With Cincinnati giving up two passing touchdowns per game, Jones has a solid chance to post another multi-touchdown outing, making him a viable streaming option for fantasy managers.

Oct 6 9:40pm ET

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones delivered a game-winning performance in Sunday's 29-20 win over the Seattle Seahawks despite missing rookie sensation Malik Nabers and starting running back Devin Singletary. Jones completed 23 of 34 passes, throwing for 232 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions, averaging 7.6 yards per attempt. He also added 38 rushing yards, though he was sacked three times and didn't find the end zone on the ground. With 22.08 fantasy points, Jones showcased his ability to manage the game effectively, making key throws in a shorthanded offense, and remains a reliable QB2 option, especially with his dual-threat capabilities.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 11:20pm ET

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will face a tough matchup in Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks. Jones has thrown for 881 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions over the first four games, but he's yet to hit a 300-yard passing game and has struggled to make an impact on the ground with just 70 rushing yards and no rushing touchdowns. His adjusted completion percentage of 77.3% is solid, but Seattle's defense ranks 9th in the NFL, allowing only 772 passing yards and four passing touchdowns through four games. With just 15.26 fantasy points per game (19th among QBs), Jones will need to outperform against a defense with his top receiver, Malik Nabers.

Sep 27 10:50am ET

New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson was heavily involved (once again) in Thursday night's 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, hauling in 11 of 14 targets for 71 yards. Despite the high reception total, Robinson averaged just 6.5 yards per catch, with his longest reception going for 11 yards. While he was a reliable short-yardage option for Daniel Jones, Robinson couldn't find the end zone, limiting his fantasy ceiling. Fantasy managers will appreciate the volume, but his low yardage per reception and lack of scoring suggest he'll need more explosive plays to become a consistent fantasy starter.

From RotoBaller

Sep 27 1:10am ET

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones put up another efficient performance in Thursday night's 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but failed to throw a touchdown while completing 29 of 40 passes for 203 yards. Jones averaged seven yards per attempt but couldn't find the end zone, and his late interception with 23 seconds left ended the Giants' final chance at a comeback. He added only three rushing yards on the ground and was sacked once, offering little in the way of his usual dual-threat upside. Fantasy managers expecting a bounce-back will need to see improvement from Jones in Week 5, as his (and the Giants) lack of scoring is a concern, especially with a late-game injury to Malik Nabers.
