Dwelley had just three receptions last season but managed to gain 105 yards, averaging 35 yards per reception. He made some big plays with his limited work. Dwelley does not have double-digit receptions in a season since 2020. He has more than 100 yards just two of five seasons. Dwelley should play a similar reserve role this season. Dwelley is a solid pass catcher and route runner. He lacks a little big-play ability, though, and is more of a move the chains option.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Dwelley has little value. He won't get much playing time in a backup role. He could get around 10 catches for 100 yards with a score.

San Francisco 49ers tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Dwelley has not seen the field since Week 13 and will be held out of the regular season finale with the Niners having already locked up the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC and a first-round bye for the playoffs. The 28-year-old has just one reception all year for 12 yards on two targets. San Fran is going to rest a lot of players in this meaningless game, so fantasy managers should stay away from tight end George Kittle. Charlie Woerner and Brayden Willis should see most of the action at the position for the 49ers against LA, but neither of them will be recommended DFS dart throws.

San Francisco 49ers tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle) is ruled out for Sunday's NFC West showdown with the Seahawks. The 28-year-old sustained a high-ankle sprain in the win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13, so his absence will likely extend beyond Sunday. That said, there aren't many fantasy managers who will be upset with the latest update on Dwelley, considering he has just one catch all year.
