2024 RTSports Outlook

London had a decent second season but was held back because of poor quarterback play. He was inconsistent in an offense that struggled some weeks. He was still 36th in fantasy receiver scoring and topped 900-receiving yards for the first time in his career. London had eight of 16 games with double-digit fantasy points, including two with 20-plus points. He had nine games with less than 50 yards, though, showing inconsistency. Things are looking up for London this year, getting Kirk Cousins as his starting quarterback. This is a huge upgrade for him. The entire Falcons offense should be much improved. London has great size for the position and catches nearly everything thrown his way. He can play on the outside or out of the slot. He lacks a little elite speed, but that doesn't seem to hold him back much.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: London is a fantasy player on the rise with Cousins as his quarterback. He has a huge ceiling. Just look at how often Cousins targeted his No. 1 receiver, Justin Jefferson, in recent seasons. London could see a huge spike in production. Consider him a solid No. 2, capable of being even better than that. He can get around 90 receptions for 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Throw out the first two seasons of Drake London's NFL career. In his rookie season, the Falcons averaged just 158.8 passing yards per game, while in 2023, they averaged 207.3. Marcus Mariota, Desmond Ridder, and Taylor Heinicke combined to throw just 34 touchdowns and 25 interceptions. For reference, Kirk Cousins, the Falcons new signal-caller, threw 18 touchdowns and just five interceptions in eight games last season. He averaged 291.4 passing yards per game. New head coach Raheem Morris and offensive coordinator Zac Robinson come from Los Angeles, where the Rams averaged the 7th-most passing yards per game in 2023 (245.6). Despite finishing as WR31 in his rookie season, London posted the 5th-highest target share (29.4%) and 2nd-highest target rate (32.4%) among wide receivers. His opportunity dipped in 2023, possibly as a result of the Bijan Robinson addition. Robinson saw 86 targets as a rookie, good for a 17.2% target share. The year prior, Tyler Allgeier posted just a 4.6% target share. So while London should easily eclipse his career-high of 117 targets, don't expect him to see nearly a 30% target share this season. It's more likely he's closer to 25%. With higher passing volume, that could lead to at least 130-140 targets. DeAndre Hopkins, Mike Evans, Calvin Ridley, and DJ Moore were all within that range a season ago. Consider London a high-end WR2 with low-end WR1 upside in 2024.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London expressed enthusiasm regarding the team's pass-heavy offense under new coordinator Zac Robinson. "Ball is gonna be in the air," said London during a recent interview. "Getting faster for a quarterback that's seen it all, it's a really cool situation to have because we'd like to dictate what goes on in a stadium on a weekly basis. The faster we can play, the more efficient we can play, hopefully the more points we have." The 22-year-old was drafted No. 8 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. However, he hasn't lived up to expectations, accumulating 141 grabs for 1,771 yards and only six touchdowns in 33 games. But with Kirk Cousins under center and a new offensive coordinator, fantasy managers are ready to get London on their rosters for the 2024-25 campaign.
