After seeing only one carry in the Week 10 loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams took over the backfield in the 38-6 blowout victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday in Week 11. Williams finished with a team-high nine carries for 59 yards and a touchdown, adding four catches on five targets for 28 yards. Fantasy managers may have prematurely dropped Williams after his dud last week, but we can't completely blame you after the Broncos continually said rookie Audric Estime was in line for more work. We cannot write Williams off just yet in 2024, but Estime will continue to be involved in Denver's backfield after seeing nine touches for 25 scrimmage yards. The 24-year-old has 80-plus scrimmage yards in five of his last eight games and will be back on the RB3/flex radar in a plus Week 12 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Nov 16 1:10am ET

After his one-carry Week 10 versus the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams just can't be trusted in starting fantasy lineups for a Week 11 tilt against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Williams had been Denver's primary backfield option through the first nine weeks, but rookie Audric Estime took on a bigger role last week with a team-high 14 carries on 26 offensive snaps. Estime is expected to continue to see more reps in the offense, which made the 24-year-old Williams drop-worthy in a lot of fantasy leagues this past week. Williams should be able to top just one carry against the Falcons on Sunday and should remain involved in the passing attack, but if Estime continues to lead the backfield moving forward, Williams' days of fantasy relevance could be at an end. He was a low-upside RB3/flex in fantasy before Estime took the lead last weekend.

Nov 11 10:50am ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams set a new season-low for touches with only three in the 16-14 loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in Week 10, carrying the ball just once for a gain of one yard while catching both of his targets for six yards. In a day in which neither team could get anything going on the ground -- the Broncos finished with 78 total rushing yards against a tough Chiefs defense -- Denver decided to feature rookie Audric Estime as their primary rusher. The rookie led the team with 14 rushing attempts and 53 yards. The workload distribution was a surprise after Williams had been more efficient on the ground in recent weeks, and it certainly won't make him more attractive as an RB3/flex in fantasy in a Week 11 home matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, where Williams should see more than just three touches.

From RotoBaller

Nov 11 9:00am ET

Dynasty | Broncos running back Javonte Williams had one rushing yard, two catches and six receiving yards in a loss to Kansas City. Dynasty Analysis: Meanwhile, Audric Estime had 14 carries in the game. It's hard to say if this is going to be a permanent move to the rookie, but Williams saw just 16 snaps in a game that was close all the way through. Sean Payton is notoriously hard to read, but Williams should be on fantasy benches moving forward until it shakes out. His dynasty value is starting to tank and today may speed that up.

Nov 8 8:20pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams will be facing a Kansas City Chiefs defense in Week 10 that has allowed the fewest PPR points per game to the running back position through nine weeks of the 2024 season. That won't give fantasy managers much confidence in Williams, who has produced double-digit half-PPR points just twice in nine games this year, with one of those games being his two-touchdown breakout in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints. Williams hasn't scored in any other game and will need to be much more efficient than he's been this year to return any kind of value in Week 10. The only good news is that Williams has seen at least 17 touches in four of the last six games as Denver's clear lead back. The 24-year-old enters Week 10 as a low-upside RB3/flex and has averaged 9.6 half-PPR points this year, which ranks 32nd among RBs.

Nov 4 12:00am ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams had a team-high 12 carries for 42 yards and caught two of his three targets for 42 yards in the 41-10 Week 9 blowout loss on the road to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Williams' receiving work stood out in an otherwise mediocre day, with his 34-yard catch in the first quarter going as the team's longest play on the day. The 24-year-old's volume was certainly hurt by the fact that the Broncos fell behind early and never could recover. Williams' production has improved after a rough start to the season, but his two-touchdown performance in the Week 8 win over the New Orleans Saints has really been his only truly impressive showing of the year for fantasy managers. The good news is he has reached 80 scrimmage yards in four of the last six games. In Week 10 against the Chiefs on the road, Williams will be a low-upside RB3/flex.

From RotoBaller

Nov 2 3:50pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams didn't take advantage of a plus matchup in the Week 8 win over the Carolina Panthers, rushing 17 times or 44 yards, although he did have a season-high 21 touches. Meanwhile, Jaleel McLaughlin led in rushing and scored again. Williams' best game of 2024 came the week prior against the New Orleans Saints, when he scored his first two touchdowns of the year. Denver's offense has improved under rookie QB Bo Nix of late, but Williams' big Week 8 performance could prove to be more of an outlier. The Broncos could be forced to pass often against Baltimore's strong defense this weekend, although Williams has been plenty involved in the passing attack in 2024, catching at least three passes in each of the last four weeks. He's in play as an RB3/flex in fantasy against a Baltimore defense that has been more vulnerable on the ground recently.

Oct 27 8:10pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams rushed 17 times for 44 yards in the team's 28-14 victory over the Carolina Panthers. The fourth-year back added eight yards through the air on 4-of-4 receiving. It's a massive letdown for fantasy managers, as Denver controlled most of this game. However, rookie quarterback Bo Nix stole the show -- totaling four TDs (three passing, one rushing) in the lopsided affair. Still, it's a disappointing outing, as Carolina was one of the worst rush defenses in the league heading into the contest. More so, considering teammate Jaleel McLaughlin totaled three more yards on nine fewer carries. Better days are ahead for the former North Carolina Tarheel, though next week may not be one of them. Williams and the Broncos will square off against a stout Ravens defense in Week 9 that allowed the fewest rushing yards per attempt (3.3) to opposing offenses heading into Week 8.

Oct 26 1:20pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams could be in store for a massive day this Sunday when his team lines up against the Carolina Panthers. The fourth-year back had his best outing of the season last Thursday night in the Broncos' 33-10 trouncing of the New Orleans Saints. In Week 8, he'll take on a Panthers defensive unit that's afforded their opponents an average of 162.1 rush yards per game and the most rushing touchdowns in the league (13). Additionally, the 24-year-old has a solid role in Denver's passing game, racking up less than three catches just twice in seven games -- leading his team with 23 receptions. Williams ranks as RotoBaller's PPR RB19 ahead of Week 8.

Broncos' RB Javonte Williams scored 26.10 fantasy points in Thursday's Week 7 win in New Orleans. Williams ran for 88 yards and caught three passes for 23 yards with two touchdowns.

Oct 18 12:20am ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams went off in the team's 33-10 blowout victory over the hosting New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football, carrying the ball 14 times for a season-high 88 yards and his first two touchdowns of the year. He also caught all three of his targets for 23 yards. His first score was an eight-yard scamper in which he went untouched to the end zone. The 24-year-old had just one game of double-digit fantasy points coming into this one, but after his first career two-touchdown game, it's clear he's still the unquestioned lead back in Denver. Williams and the Broncos took care of business against a Saints defense that played uninspired football, and after this big game, fantasy managers will surely consider Williams for a starting lineup spot in another plus-plus matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8.

From RotoBaller

Oct 17 12:20am ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams, and the Broncos' ground attack in general, have been a big disappointment heading into a Week 7 primetime game against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night. Williams is averaging a career-low-tying 3.6 yards per carry with 213 rushing yards and no touchdowns on 59 carries through six games. He's caught 20 passes for 143 additional yards. The 24-year-old is averaging just 7.6 half-PPR fantasy points per game, fewer than Dameon Pierce and Jeremy McNichols. The good news is he'll face a Saints defense that has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points per game to the RB position this year, including the fourth-most points in the last three weeks. It's hard to get excited about Williams in starting fantasy lineups based on what he's produced so far, but he has the potential to be a serviceable RB3/flex this week on the road.

From RotoBaller

Oct 14 12:00am ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams had the best game of his season in last week's win over the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders but followed it up with a miserable performance in the 23-16 Week 6 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers. Williams finished with six carries for only 23 yards and a lost fumble, adding three catches on six targets for 13 receiving yards. He had as many carries as quarterback Bo Nix, and his nine touches tied a season low. About the only positive on the day was that his six targets tied for the team high. Outside of Williams' 111-yard scrimmage day in Week 5, he has done very little for fantasy managers and just hasn't looked explosive at all as Denver's lead back. Through six weeks, the 24-year-old has also yet to find the end zone. It won't get any easier on a quick turnaround next Thursday on the road in a hostile environment against the Saints. Williams will be a low-upside, low-floor RB3/flex for that one.

Oct 13 10:13pm ET

Dynasty | Broncos running back Javonte Williams had 23 rushing yards, three catches and 13 receiving yards while also losing a fumble in a loss against the Chargers. Dynasty Analysis: After six games, it's fair to make an assessment about Williams and he just simply hasn't been very good. His 23 yards today put him just over 200 on the season and his 3.7 yards per carry isn't inspiring much confidence moving forward. His 17 catches on the year have helped but Williams has yet to score a touchdown on the season. At this point, the idea Williams was going to have a big year have come and gone and he belongs on dynasty benches as his value sinks each week.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Oct 12 7:00am ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams had his best fantasy output of the season in the Week 5 win over the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders with 13.6 half-PPR points, but don't be surprised if he regresses this Sunday against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers. The Bolts D has allowed 94 rushing yards per game (sixth fewest) and 16.4 half-PPR points to RBs (seventh-fewest) so far in 2024 and are coming off their bye week. Williams has been more productive running the football in the last two weeks, but on the season as a whole, he's averaged a career-low-tying 3.6 yards per carry. The good news is that he's still Denver's clear lead back over Jaleel McLaughlin, but rookie Audric Estime (ankle) could enter the picture this weekend and complicate things down the road. Williams has had double-digit carries in three of five games in 2024, but the efficiency has been lacking in a weak offense. Consider him a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 in Week 6.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 1:40am ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams still has not found the end zone in 2024, but he managed his best game of the year regardless in the 34-18 win over the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in Week 5. Williams had a team-high 13 carries for 61 yards (4.69 yard-per-carry average) while catching a team-high five passes on a team-high six targets for a team-high 50 receiving yards. It was the first time that he has gone over 100 scrimmage yards this year. He out-touched Jaleel McLaughlin 18 to nine and produced 111 scrimmage yards to McLaughlin's 25, but McLaughlin did score for the second time in 2024. The 24-year-old was very efficient and had a long run of 17 yards to take advantage of a great matchup. It was nice to see for Williams' fantasy managers, but he'll once again be a low-upside RB3/flex in a tougher matchup in Week 6 against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 9:20pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams has the opportunity to get his season kickstarted in a matchup this Sunday at home against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. The Raiders defense is allowing the eighth-most half-PPR fantasy points to RBs through four weeks, also giving up 137.5 rushing yards per game (ninth-most). Now the question is whether the 24-year-old can exploit the matchup, but maybe more so, can the Broncos' offense be more consistent in sustaining drives? Williams hasn't been great -- he's the RB41 in half-PPR scoring -- and is averaging a career-low 3.2 yards per carry. He also has yet to find the end zone. But he did have his most efficient game last week (16 carries for 77 yards) against the Jets and could be facing a Raiders defense without Maxx Crosby (ankle). Although the upside remains on the low end in Denver's low-scoring offense, Williams has RB2 upside this week.

From RotoBaller

Sep 30 12:10am ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams looked the best he has all year in the 10-9 upset win over the New York Jets on Sunday on the road. However, things could have been different had Tyler Badie (back) not been injured early on in the contest. Williams finished with a team-high 16 carries for a season-high 77 yards (4.81 yards per carry), also catching two of his three targets for three yards. He out-touched Jaleel McLaughlin 18 to 10 and out-gained him 80 to 49. It was the most effective Denver's ground game has been and the most explosive Williams has looked in the first four weeks. However, the 24-year-old had only 21 yards in the first half and will continue to have a low ceiling and floor in this offense with rookie QB Bo Nix going through plenty of growing pains. The good news is that Williams has a very nice matchup against the division-rival Raiders in Week 5 with bye weeks starting around the league.

From RotoBaller

Sep 28 10:30am ET

Nothing fantasy managers have seen out of Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams through the first three weeks of 2024 have convinced them to use him as an RB3/flex in Week 4 against a strong New York Jets defense on the road. Williams has led Denver's backfield in snap percentage each of the first three weeks, but he's averaging a career-low 2.2 yards per tote and has yet to find the end zone. The 24-year-old also lost a fumble in last week's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and saw Tyler Badie carry the ball nine times for a team-high 70 yards. If Williams doesn't start improving soon, he could see Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin start to take more touches away as the Broncos try boost their ground game. This Sunday against the Jets, Williams is trending as a low-upside RB3/flex against a Jets defense that has allowed only 15 half-PPR fantasy points per game to the RB position through three weeks.

From RotoBaller

Sep 23 12:00am ET

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams is quickly losing hold of lead-back duties in the team's backfield after their 26-7 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. Williams saw five carries for 12 yards (2.4 yards per tote) and lost a fumble while securing all four of his targets through the air for 29 yards. After his fumble, the 24-year-old had just three touches the rest of the game and saw Tyler Badie lead the team with nine carries for 70 yards. The Broncos' offense looked improved in Week 3 against the Bucs, but their ground attack of Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin remained stalled. If Williams doesn't pick things up soon, he could start to lose even more work to Badie and McLaughlin. A bounce-back in Week 4 against a stout New York Jets defense is unlikely. Fantasy managers have probably lost all faith in Williams as a viable RB3/flex play after Week 3.
