You've all been in the league long enough to know the rules, those that don't please ask questions. The site will pretty much police things such as illegal lineups, rosters, and the bulk of the Day to Day. On the scoring, the site does cover most situations, however, keep in mind that any time the first offensive unit is not on the field, and scoring happens it can be counted. This includes all special teams scoring and plays involving punters for example. Subject to review of course. League entry fee is $100, FA pickups are $5 each, trades are $2.50 from each team involved. ALL MONEY MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE OF TRANSACTIONS, PERIOD. If you do not have the money in the kitty for FA pickups, too fucking bad. You have Venmo, the U.S.P.S., your vehicle, and your legs. Get the money into Kevin or Randy in advance, it will be credited into your account and you will be able to check your balance. Anticipate your actions of picking up FA's and be ready. Pay ahead at the draft if you like, just make sure you're paid up, we're not your banker. If your account balance is at zero ($0) your team will be locked out and unable to make transactions as in FA pickup or trades.
There is an opportunity to vote on trades and veto them. Not sure how that will work, but we usually never have trades so I wouldn't worry about that too much. The regular season will go 14 weeks with 3 weeks of playoffs. The two best teams will earn bye weeks in the Championship bracket, the two worst teams will earn byes to ensure they will be playing in the final four of the Toilet Bowl. Tiebreakers are on the league rules site page. Prize money will be distributed at the end of the year. League entry fee money minus the cost of this site ($90) will be totaled with all FA money. This will then be split into two pools. Those pools will be divided into four places for the finish in both the Total points and the Championship playoffs. The percentages of breakdowns are as follows:
First Place 47%
Second 28%
Third 15%
Fourth 10%
Free Agent/Waiver Wire player Pickup
the site will generate a list ranked from worst to first for WW pickups which will activate on Wednesdays at noon our time. Each team gets one pick per round, as it loops until all picks have been made for the teams entered into your que. If team records are tied, here is the TB system determined by a poll.
1) Head to Head record (monitored by site)
2) Total Points scored (fewest to most pts. scored)
3) Total Bench Points scored (fewest to most pts. scored)
The WW order will have to be manually set as the site parameters will not accept our criteria for ranking. The FA's will go first in the auto system of the league site. Free for all FA pickup will begin at 4p.m. our time and will continue until just before kickoff of the Monday night game. You cannot pick up players in active games. FA will be frozen until our ww starts on that Wednesday. You can enter on 'wish list' who you want in ww beginning 7a.m. Tuesdays.
There is opportunity to bet on the NFL games as picks for a friendly weekly wager for those interested. Post it to the message board if you like.
Tiebreakers in weekly H to H matchups
Aforementioned selected single player on each team during the course of the regular season
In the event those two designated players are tied, it goes to bench players total points
Then a coin flip.
It is the team owner's responsibility to designate the Tie Breaker player each week in their respective lineup. Failure to do so is just tough beans kiddo.
Determining Rankings for Playoffs/Tiebreakers
1) Head to Head Record (There are 3 Division Champions and 3 Wild Card teams)
2) To determine Division Champions if two teams are tied H to H, the team with better Divisions record is champ, if tied - total points is used-then quality of win. (This is within the Division)
3) Total Points
4) Quality of win with (between the two teams tied if they played each other during the season)
5) Quality of win between common Opponents (used if they did not play each other)
6) Coin flip
Playoff Seeding
The 6 playoff spots will come from the 3 division winners and then 3 wild card spots. The top 2 teams based on record and regardless of division receive first-round byes. The other 4 playoff teams are the ones with the best records regardless of division. All playoff seeds are based on playoff rankings and tie breakers listed above in (Determining Rankings for Playoffs/Tiebreakers).
The toilet bowl playoffs work in reverse of the super bowl playoff seedings with the 2 worst place teams getting byes and each week and the loser moves to the next round.
Playoff Schedule
Seeds determined by rankings, 6 teams to Super Bowl bracket, 6 teams to Toilet Bowl bracket. Seeds 1 & 2 in SB bracket receive a bye. Seeds 5 & 6 (the worst teams) in TB bracket also get the bye. Highest ranked seed play LOWEST ranked remaining seeds in SB & TB bracket as we progress through the 3 weeks of playoffs, weeks 15, 16, 17 of the NFL season. Wild Card weekend (14th) pits seeds 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5. For TB Seeds 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3.
Total Points Championship
The Total Points race continues throughout the season and ends week 17, the week before the end of the regular season. It pays 4 spots, just like the championship, same percentages of 50% of the total prize pool. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be the designated tiebreaker player chosen by the team. Then to HtoH record between the tied teams, then to the total points for week 17 for the individual teams. If there is still a tie, coin flip, or join pots (2nd place + 3rd place) and split 50/50 if agreeable to the teams involved.
Rosters
You will maintain 17 players on you roster at all times throughout the season. Failure to do so results in a $5 fine. Minimums at positions are as follows:
QB-1, WR-2, RB-2, TE-1, K-1, DST-1.
Maximums are already set in roster rules. The league should warn of illegal rosters or lineups.
Have a good season everyone,
The Commishes
