RULES

 

  1. 1. This will be an open draft. You can draft anybody you want at any position if you can field a legitimate lineup. The draft will be 15 rounds and it will be serpentine Round One will be determined by 2022's record (Worst record to Best record). Rounds 2-4 will be supplemental picks and the remaining rounds will be serpentine.

1a. The Players who are not drafted will be placed on the League Pool Team. Rules of how to trade with the League Team are farther down in the rules.

 

1b You do not have to be present or online for the draft. RTSPorts will auto draft and select the next highest player available for your team in each round.

 

1c. When you draft this year, you will be keeping 0-5 players for next year. Should you keep 3 players at the 2023 draft you will have all your draft choices. Should you keep 0-2 players, there will be supplemental rounds (not serpentine) after Round 1 starting with rounds 2-4) in which you will pick additional players until you have 3 players.  Should you keep 4 players, you will lose your pick in the 1st round (RT Sports. Round 1). Should you keep 5 players you will lose picks in Rounds 1 and 2 (RT Sports Round 1 and 5). 

 

1d. THE TORRES RULE. This is the rule that allows you to keep players that you got from the trade pool and didn't draft or trade for. It will not be used in this league. Only players on a team at the end of the draft can be kept the following year.

 

  1. As long as a player's game has not started yet you can replace him with a player whose game has also not started. Lineups will consist of the following" 1 Quarterback, 2 Running Backs, 3 Receivers, 1 Kicker and your defense. All lineup submissions are thru RT Sports.

 

  1. 3. Trading is allowed for a fee of $2.00 per team per transaction. Transactions will be cut if half in the entire entry fee has been paid up front.

 

  1. There will be 3 Divisions, each with 6 teams. You will play each team in your Division twice. Division alignment has been determined by last years record.

 

  1. A 13 game regular season schedule will be played, followed by 3 playoff weeks. The playoffs will consist of the 3 Division Winners, the 3 2nd place teams  and the next 2 best records, regardless of Division. In case of a tie for either Division Title, 2nd place, or Wild Card the tiebreaker will be the best record within the Division. If still tied it will be the total points scored in the 2 head to head meetings. Or 1 meeting if teams are in different divisions. If still tied it will be the total points scored in the season. If any tiebreaker drops a team the tiebreaker will revert to the other 2 teams. Example: 3 potential playoff teams all have the same record and are vying for 2 playoff spots. 1 team has a 4-2 Division record. The other 2 teams have 3-3 Division records. The team that is 4-2 within the Division goes to the playoffs. The other 2 teams go to the next tiebreaker..

 

  1. The Commissioner and his fine staff will interpret all rules. Their Decisions are final. 

 

  1. Team-to-Team trading is allowed until the end of Week 11. Any player who has been traded from a team may not be traded back to that team until Week 3 of the following season. (The 2nd part of the this rule is known as the GENTRY RULE)

 

  1. For regular season games there will be no tiebreaker. It will remain a tie game. If 2 teams are fighting for a playoff spot 8-4-1 is better than 8-5. For the playoffs the 1st tiebreaker will be total yards. If still tied the tiebreaker will be offensive points. 

 

  1. The sole source for results will be RT Sports and their sources. Games are not official until 9:00 A.M. Pacific Time on Thursday.

 

  1. New rules will be voted on by all owners and the majority wins.

 

For those teams not making the playoffs there will be a Winner Take All 'Losers pool'. 

 

 

 

TRADING WITH THE LEAGUE POOL TEAM

 

Here are rules regarding trading with the League Pool Team.

 

All League pool trades are thru RT Sports. There is no limit on how many transactions you can make.

 

You can trade players you acquire from the trade pool. However he cannot be kept for the following year.

 

There is a 24 hour waiting period where the player is protected and another team cannot take him. This will give all teams a chance to see who is in the League Pool.

 

League Pool trading will begin the Tuesday following the draft and continue thru the end of the season.
