2023 Rules (10 Team League)

Team cost is $135 plus an optional $20 NFL Picks Side contest = $155.

Players will be acquired by an online auction through our website at 6:00 pm MT on Tuesday, September 5th.

Each team will have 23 players on their roster.

Each team will have $220 to spend on those 23 players.

Each player will have a minimum cost of $1 in the auction.

The auction order will in reverse of the 2022 regular season standings by Record. 


Points

All players

6 - Any TD (Rushing, Receiving, or any Return)

3 - Passing TD.

.1 - Every 1 yards rushing or receiving.

.05 - Every 1 yards passing.

2 - Rushing or receiving a 2 point conversion.

1 - Passing for a 2 point conversion.

minus .5 - Each interception thrown or fumble lost.


Kickers

1 - Extra Point

.1 - For every 1 yards of a field goal


Defensive Players

1 - 1 Tackle

.5 - 1 Assisted tackle

2 - 1/2 Sack (4 for a full sack)

5 - Interception


Defensive/Special Teams

6 - Touchdown

2 - Safety

.5 - 1/2 Sack (1 for a full sack)

1 - 1 Interception

1 - 1 Fumble recovery

1 - Every point opponents held to, under 17 (ex. shutout = 17 points, score 16 = 1 point)


Lineups

Starting lineups will consist of 12 spots:

1 QB

2 RB

2 WR

1 TE

1 K

2 DP Flex (Def. Player - DL, LB, DB)

1 DST (Def./Special Teams)

2 WC (wild cards - only 1 can be a QB)

Each team will designate 1 tiebreaker player from their roster, in case of a tie.
In a Tie - The team with the highest point total from their tiebreaker will receive the win for that week.
If a team marks 2 tiebreakers, they will receives 0 tie breaker points.

Lineups lock at 11:00 am MT on Sundays. (If a game has already started before 11:00, then you will not be able
to change that player).

Starters in Thursday games (Weeks 1 - 17) and any other early week games are due by kickoff of those games. The rest of your lineup will then lock at 11:00 am MT on Sunday.
 
Week #12 has (3) Thursday games and Week #16 has the only Saturday games, 11 of them.

Illegal lineups.
An Illegal lineup either has to many players started (more than 12) or has to many players started at a position.
A lineup with less than 12 players is still a legal lineup, provided that position maximums are not exceeded.
If an illegal lineup is submitted and is not changed before the deadline, the lineup will revert back to the last
legal lineup submitted for that team.
If the last legal lineup submitted contains players no longer on their roster, they will receive 0 points for that
spot.
If an illegal lineup has been submitted, but has not been noticed until after that weeks games have been completed,
than that lineup will stand.

Standings
Now that the NFL season is 18 weeks, we play a 14 week, head-to-head schedule, where each team will earn a win/loss/tie each week. 
Standings will be based on W-L record.
  • With an odd number of teams, 1 team will play head-to-head against the league average to earn their win/loss/tie for the week.
  • Standing are based on W-L records.
  • Tie breakers:
    • Total points
    • Head-to-head record
    • Head-to-head points
    • Division record

Waiver Moves (add 1 player from the free agent pool and drop 1 player to make room on roster)

Each team will get unlimited moves for the season, with a maximum of 3 waiver moves after each week, #1 through Week #14.

The Waiver process in-between Week #14 and #15 will be the last for the season. 

Waiver moves will be in reverse order of the standings to that point, based on records.  Each week there will be three rounds of moves. Each round will award players in order of the worst place team to the top team. 

Waiver moves are due by 9:00 pm MT on Wednesday's.

Waiver moves are submitted and processed through the waiver wire system on our web site. It will process the waiver moves and execute the transactions roughly about an hour after the Wednesday deadline. 

Make sure to designate players to drop otherwise no players will be added due to roster size restrictions.  
 

Stat changes

We will abide by the stats provided by RTSports.

If stats are changed after the waiver wire pickups but before the next weeks games, then the waiver wire will stay as it ran, but any player and team points will be changed, and W -L records corrected if needed to reflect the stat changes.

All points and W - L records will become official at kickoff of the first game the following week.


Divisions

With a 10 team league we will have Three Divisions

Three Divisions will be reseeded each year in order of the previous years regular season standings with division winners being in The Heavy's division.

New teams will be placed in the Fly Weight division.


Trades

There will be no trades allowed.


Championship Playoffs

We will have a 3 week playoff season. (Weeks 15,16,17)

This is with a 10 team league - Six teams will make the playoffs, 3 division winners and 3 wild cards. 

Wild cards will be the 3 non-division winning teams with the overall best records.

The Playoffs are in a seeded playoff bracket.

Seeding will be in order of the regular season records with the 3 division winners making the playoffs. The top 2 Division Winners will be the #1 and #2 Seeds and get a bye in Week #15 with the 3rd Division Winner and the 3 WC's filling out seed #'s 4-6. This will be a set bracket and will not re-seed after Week #15. 

 

Losers Bracket

There will be a Losers Bracket for the 4 teams not in the Championship Playoffs, and the teams knocked out of the first two Championship Playoff rounds to compete in.

Week #15 - The 4 teams not making the Championship Playoffs will be seeded, the 2 winning teams will advance to LB Week #16

Week #16 - The 2 advancing teams from Losers Bracket week #15 and the 2 losing teams from the Championship Bracket will be reseeded with the 2 winning teams advancing to LB Week #16

Week #17 - The 2 winning Losers Bracket teams form week #16 and the 2 losing teams from the Championship Playoffs will play in the LB Week #17. High scorer wins the Losers Bracket.


Toilet Bowl

All teams play.  Will be on week 18, with the winner being the team with the highest total points from their entire roster, no lineups will be turned in, but do designate a tiebreaker.

Each week, pick the winner of each NFL game straight up. (Week #1 through 18)
Standings based on total picked correct, not percentage.

Keepers
Each returning team may keep 1 player form each position, from their 2021 roster for 2022.

Prior rosters and keeper values are distributed to the league in Mid-August each year.

Keepers for 2022 must be posted on the league message board by 9 pm MT, on Sunday, September 3rd.

A player may only be on a roster for 3 years, before being entered back into the auction.

The keeper cost of any kept payers will be deducted from the $220 auction money, reducing the money left to spend during the rest of the auction. Also, each player kept will take up one of the 23 auction slots for each team.

New teams to the league will be able to assume the roster of a departing team if one is available. The keeper rules and limits would apply to any new teams and the rosters they are taking over. If we have multiple openings, the first new team would get the roster from the departing team of their choice. New teams will still be placed in the Fly Weight division even if they are taking over a roster from a team that would have been in a higher division.  If there is not a roster to take over for a new team they will start fresh.

If a player is picked in the auction, he carries that keeper value to the next season even if he is dropped and then picked up later in the season. (It also counts as 1 year of the 3 max).
