SECTION ONE: OVERVIEW

  1. Participants

By accepting an opening in the Fantasy Football Factory (FFF), all participants involved agree to abide by the official rules and regulations governing the FFF. Participants must also submit their league entrance fee prior to the start of the draft. All league fees are to be sent to the league commissioner who in turn will act as the league accountant. PayPal/Venmo is preferred. The league commissioner will pay all league expenses incurred as well as league winnings, at the end of the season, as stated in the rules.

  1. Refunds

All participants are entitled to a refund of their league dues up until one week prior to the start of the NFL regular season. A participant’s entry fee will be refunded ONLY when a replacement owner assumes control of the participant’s franchise and payment is received by the league office from the participant assuming ownership of the departing member’s team. After the start of the NFL regular season, the league entry fee is considered non-refundable.

  1. Number of Participants

The FFF will be limited to 12 principle franchises. Owners in the  FFF are limited to management of one franchise only.

  1. League Structure

The  FFF will consist of three divisions (American Football Conference, National Football Conference and United Football Conference).  Divisions will consist of 4 teams each. Divisions will remain intact for one year from the inception of the league unless otherwise voted on by the owners.  Every year, the divisions will be restructured according to the Rookie/FA draft order. The system used to originate initial divisions will be as follows:

AFC: Teams Drafting 1,4,7,10

NFC: Teams Drafting 2,5,8,11

UFC: Teams Drafting 3,6,9,12

  1. Draft Order

The inaugural draft will be serpentine in nature, last 34 rounds, and include both incoming rookies and existing veteran players. The draft order will be determined by Dice Roll with the largest numerical roll drafting first and so on. The draft order for each following year’s draft will be determined by the finishing order of each franchise. Teams will be slotted in inverse order of their regular season and playoff performance including the Super Bowl. The free agent/rookie draft will reflect the NFL draft and not be serpentine consisting of six (6) rounds. Note that any free agent player (rookie player or otherwise) is available to draft during the six round rookie/FA draft.

  1. League Management

The principle commissioner of the league will be Chad Caussey. RTSports.com will be hired to provide the league’s web based service. All principle owners involved will determine all the particulars of the FFF with the league commissioner having the final say.

  1. Scoring Discrepancies

If for any reason a scoring discrepancy is discovered it must first be brought to the attention of the league commissioner who in turn will notify RTSports. All scoring discrepancies must be submitted to the league commissioner by midnight Wednesday of each given week.

  1. Disputes/Appeals Regarding League Rules

All disputes and appeals must be submitted to the league commissioner whereas he will utilize the rules and regulations governing the  FFF to make all decisions. The league commissioner’s decisions are considered final but a call for an impartial vote by all league members can be called to decide an issue. Each league owner can only do this once a year and the league vote is final.

  1. Team Management Disclaimer

The FFF League commissioner is not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction, which impedes or interferes with the transmission or receipt of any team transaction, including but not limited to starting lineup submissions. If for some reason there is a down time experienced with our web host, all principle owners can submit an email to the league commissioner, reporting the lapse and submit any information pertaining to free agent moves, and starting lineup submissions. These emails are time stamped which eliminates collusion. Once the experienced down time has been repaired, the league commissioner will update all information pertaining to starting lineups and free agent acquisitions. The commissioner will also send an email to another fellow league member if these issues pertain to his franchise, to eliminate collusion on the part of the commissioner.

  1. Collusion

Any participants, who collude in an effort to dishonestly try and gain an advantage over their fellow league members, will be disbanded from the league and will forfeit all winnings. If for any reason a team owner suspects collusion amongst fellow league members, it should be brought to the attention of the league commissioner. At that time an investigation will be conducted.

  1. Team Competitiveness

Participants are expected to run their franchises in a professional manner throughout the entirety of the Fantasy season. By not doing so, you could indirectly impact other franchises based on your actions. As such, any infractions of this league clause will be penalized as follows:

1st occurrence: Official warning.

2nd occurrence: Loss of one draft slot in the ensuing season's rookie/free agent draft (i.e.: per the draft order, the 3rd slot per round becomes the 4th slot).

3rd occurrence: Loss of another draft slot in the ensuing season's rookie/free agent draft (i.e.: per the draft order, the 3rd slot per round becomes the 5th slot).

4th occurrence: League expulsion.

A clear infraction of the team competitiveness clause will include starting a player on a bye week, a player on the NFL IR/PUP list (or otherwise known to be "out"), or a player who is a non-fantasy contributor. The league office reserves the right to evaluate "grey" circumstances and enforce the above penalty schedule when deemed appropriate. Note that multiple infractions in a given week will be defined as one occurrence opposed to the # of players involved equaling one occurrence each (i.e.: a team that starts 3 players who are on a bye in week 8 will be viewed as one occurrence).

Also note that all potential violations will be objectively evaluated on a case by case basis. The purpose of this clause is not to unfairly penalize franchises. Rather, the ultimate goal is to uphold league integrity and ensure GMs aren't directly and/or indirectly impacted by neglectful GM activity (otherwise known as "tanking"). Obviously, the best way to avoid this coming up is to take the few minutes each week to ensure you're fielding your most competitive lineup. Please don't hesitate to consult the league office on premeditated starting lineup decisions that you feel could be viewed as controversial.

  1. Fantasy Season

The FFF league office will be closed and the league inactive from week 18 of the NFL regular season until 7 days after the completion of the NFL Super bowl. All trading and transactions will be suspended during this time period (i.e.: the last week to acquire players via the waiver wire and free agency is week 17).

During the off-season, defined as the Sunday after the completion of the Super bowl until the Tuesday prior to the first scheduled NFL game of the next season, players may be traded or dropped, BUT NO FREE AGENTS MAY BE ADDED until a designated time after the rookie/FA draft. All dropped players will go into the free agent/rookie draft that will commence on the third Sunday in June each year (rough date range-specific date to be determined each season). Franchises will reduce their in-season rosters to a max of 32 players by a designated date before the annual rookie/free agent draft. To preserve league integrity, the league office reserves the right to objectively drop players from franchises who are not in compliance by the set deadline. The league office will drop the players with the lowest fantasy points scored from the prior season as necessary to get that franchise in compliance.

  1. League Office Reservation

In event that a situation arises that is not covered by the rules, the league office reserves the right to arbitrate the issue in the best interest of league competitiveness and integrity. This may include but not be limited to Natural Disasters, Pandemics, Bye Week changes mid season, etc.

SECTION TWO: OFFICIAL RULES

  1. League Fee / Disbursement of Prize Money

The league commissioner will distribute 100% of all prize money, minus league expenses, to all principle participants upon the completion of each season.

Entry Fee/Prize Money: $100.00 ($1200 total)

Website Fee: $90.00 (Paid $96.35 league fees in 2022).

Super Bowl winner: $415

Super Bowl runner up: $260

Third Place: $100

Points Winner: $100

Division winner: $50 each (total of $150)

17 Weekly High Point Winners: $5/week (total of $85)

In following years, prize money disbursement may change as league members may wish to increase/decrease league dues.

League dues must be covered in full for the fantasy season before any off-season trades will be approved.

*Note- In 2021 the yearly fee was agreed to be $100.

  1. Roster Size

Team rosters must have no less than 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 D/ST at all times during the fantasy regular season. There are no roster minimum requirements during the fantasy playoffs or the fantasy off-season.

  1. Starting Lineup

The starting lineup for all FFF teams is:

12 Weekly Starters: 1-2 QB, 2-4 RB, 3-5 WR, 1-2 TE, 1-DST, 1-K. 3 Flex (QB, RB, WR, TE)

It is the sole responsibility of every owner to submit a competitive lineup every week of the FFF season.

  1. Schedule

Determined randomly by RTSports based on each team playing their divisional rivals twice and all other teams once. The FFF will have a 14-week regular season.

  1. Standings

Teams will play one another each week with the winning team receiving a win and the loser a loss, unless of a tie, where each team will be rewarded such. Standings within each division will be determined by Record, Total Points scored, and then head-to-head record.

  1. Playoffs

The playoffs will consist of the 3 Division Winners and 3 teams (not division winners) with the 3 Best Records regardless of division. If two teams have the same record, then total points will be the tie-breaker.

The teams will be seeded 1-6 with the division winners receiving the top three seeds and seeded #1-3 based on Best Record (Tie-Breaker being Highest Total Points).  Seeds #4-6 will be the teams with the 3 Best Records outside of the division winners, with the #4 seed going to the team with the Best Record (Tie-Breaker being Highest Total Points) and so on.

First Round (Week 15)

Seed 1 & 2 Byes

Seed 3 vs. Seed 6

Seed 4 vs. Seed 5

Second Round (Week 16)

Winners of the 1st round (Highest Remaining Seed vs. Lowest Remaining Seed)

Super Bowl (Week 17)

Winners of the 2nd round play for the Championship.

Losers of the second round play for 3rd place.

NOTE: Any playoff ties will be broken by total bench points (between the tied teams) for that week.

Home Field: During Playoff weeks 15-17, each team will be awarded 2 points for each win more than their opponent (During the regular Season) before the Playoff Game begins. For example if during Week 15 the #3 Seed has a 10-4 record & the #6 Seed has a 7-7 Record, the #3 Seed will begin the Playoff week with a 6 point advantage before the game commences. The #1 & #2 Seeds will automatically get a win for Week 15.

  1. Draft slotting for the following year

The draft order for the following year will be inversely slotted based on the current season's finish.  The six teams that did not make the fantasy playoffs will draft first through sixth.

Of the two losing teams in the first round of the championship fantasy playoffs, these slots will be determined by their regular season record. If there is a tie here, total points for the fantasy regular season will break the tie (again, the team with the lower record/total receives the higher slot).  Of the two losing teams in the second round of the playoffs, these slots will be determined by their regular season record with the same aforementioned tie-breaker.

  1. Waiver Wire/Free Agents

The waiver wire system will be based on a weekly bidding process. At the beginning of each season, teams are allotted $100 to spend on free agents for the entire year. Once a team is out of funds, a team can still pick up free agents the next morning after the waiver wire runs.

After Free Agent Pickups have completed for the week, the players dropped to acquire FAs will be considered "protected". These players will not be able to be acquired until the waiver process the following week. Any unprotected FAs, (i.e.: those dropped in previous weeks) will be eligible for pick-up from 9:00 AM EST on Thursday until 12:59 EST on Sunday. Other limitations concerning the waiver process are as follows:

  1. a) Any player acquired via the waiver wire or via free agency must remain on that franchise's roster until at least the following NFL week. In other words, you may not pick up a player via waivers or free agency and then drop him any earlier than the next week's waiver wire run.

  1. Bidding Time Frame
  1. a) There will be unlimited FA drops/pickups beginning at a designated time after the rookie/FA draft and ending 1 week before the regular season.
  2. b) The next waiver wire will be run AFTER the conclusion week 1 of the NFL schedule
  3. c) The waiver wire will then be processed on a weekly basis throughout the FFF season.
  4. d) Rosters will be updated by the web service with the results of all successful transactions.

  1. Trades

Trading among teams within the same division is permitted as long as an act of collusion or roster dumping is not witnessed. Traded players can not be re-acquired by the original team within the same FFF regular season.

A trade becomes final once both teams have accepted the terms of the trade and submitted it to the commissioner and approved. The commissioner stance on trades especially in a dynasty league is to allow all proposed trades to commence unless there is obvious collusion between owners. Player value in this format has a wide range of latitude. Note that trades won't be commissioner-approved until the current year's league dues have been satisfied. However, a trade agreed upon (within the league trading window) by both parties and subsequently routed to the league office for approval is considered "locked in". Owners will not be able to "change their mind" on any trade not yet commissioner-approved unless otherwise agreed upon by BOTH owners in writing to the league office.

During The Regular Season

Trades may involve an unequal number of players exchanged and may include future draft picks, but no team can exceed the in-season (34 Players) roster limits.  In cases of trades involving unequal number of players, the team receiving more players must make the appropriate roster cuts at the time of the trade acceptance.  Draft pick trading may be unequal in nature.  Weekly trade deadline is Sunday at 12:59pm EST. No players involved in a trade may be part of another trade for 3 days after acceptance of the first trade. All trades during the regular season must be completed (submitted & approved) by 11:59 the Saturday of Week 14. NO MORE TRADING WILL BE ALLOWED UNTIL THE OFF-SEASON (Seven days after the NFL Super Bowl).

During The FFF Off-Season

Trading may involve an unequal number of players exchanged by both teams and include future draft picks of only the next calendar year. There is no trade deadline during the FFF off-season with the exception of the two weeks between the declaration of keepers and the beginning of the rookie/free agent draft. No players involved in a trade may be part of another trade for 3 days after acceptance of the first trade. Draft pick trading may be unequal in nature.

Protests

A trade can be protested by any team not involved in the trade by submitting an email to the league office. If the league office receives 6 emails in protest of a trade, a league wide vote will be held regarding the trade in question. The teams involved in the trade will not be allowed to vote on the legitimacy of the trade. A trade must receive 8 votes against the trade to be vetoed. Only trades with evidence of collusion that you can substantiate will be considered in a protest.

  1. Keepers

Each team is required to carry over a maximum of 34 players from year to year with no contract restrictions. The rookie/FA draft will be 6 rounds long. 1-2 weeks prior to the start of the NFL regular season (actual date to be determined each season and communicated to owners) owners are expected to reduce their roster to a max of 34 players. With the interest of league integrity in mind, the league office reserves the right to make a GM's cuts for them should they miss the deadline. To remain objective, player cuts down to the max roster of 34 men will be made based on the lowest fantasy points scored for the prior NFL season, excluding incoming rookie players. Owners will be expected to reduce their rosters to a max of 32 men by a designated date each season, typically 2 weeks prior to the start of the rookie/FA draft (actual date to be determined each season). Relative to the cut-down to a max of 32 men, refer to Section I, point 12 regarding the process if a GM misses the cut deadline.

  •
  1. Scoring

It is loaded in the website based on the agreement of the owners and can only be amended in the off-season before the declaration of keepers two weeks prior to the start of the NFL regular season.

  1. Shuffle Draft

Anytime an owner leaves the league, and a new owner is brought in, a shuffle draft can be initiated by any veteran owner who wishes to participate.  When initiated, the entire rosters of the unowned team and of all teams electing to participate will be put into the shuffle draft pool of only those players.  There will be NO free agents, rookies, or players of nonparticipating teams in the shuffle draft pool.  The participating owners along with the new owner will then draft from the shuffle draft pool in a randomly assigned serpentine draft order.   The draft will be continue until no players remain in the shuffle draft pool.

All shuffle drafts will occur after the off-season after a new owner has been identified.   The commissioner will set a deadline in which teams must declare if they will participate in the shuffle draft.  Teams have the right to withdraw from the shuffle draft after electing to enter, as long as the withdraw is done prior to the deadline.  The deadline is firm.  All attempts to enter or withdraw after the deadline will be deemed invalid.  Participation in the shuffle draft is voluntary, allowing any owner to keep his/her current roster.   If no veteran owners elect to enter the shuffle draft, then the unowned roster will be assigned to the new owner as is.

  1. Owner Support Needed to Adopt Rule a Change

Any rule change or new rule will require 2/3 or greater support from the league in order to be adopted.  The FFF currently has 12 owners.  Any rule change or addition will require the support of at least 8 owners to be adopted.   If the league increases or decreases in size, the number of owners supporting will be adjust according to the 2/support rule.
