By-Laws

Rules in a nutshell:

  • Each week you will play 1 QB  2 RBs  2 WRs 1 Flex, 1 K and your chosen NFL team.
  • Tight Ends are considered Wide Receivers.
  • The Flex position can be a RB, WR or TE.
  • All TDs are 6 pts., 1 point for every 50 yards passing, 1 pt. for every 10 yards rushing or receiving.
  • 1 point for each reception, regardless of position.
  • You are allowed unlimited trades with the free agent list.
  • You are allowed unlimited trades between teams until the trade deadline (after week 14).
  • If your kicker is on bye and you only have the one kicker, you can have a free pick with the free agent list that week.
  • An IR position is available for players considered on IR or Covid - Includes all players listed as Opt-Out,  I/R, PuP, NFI, or Covid list on the official NFL injury report.

History:
The Crossroads Fantasy Football League was founded by Bradford Knight in 1993. We met in Sedalia, MO for our picks...Brad, Dexter, Patti, Crissy and a couple of other goof balls. The next year, we kicked the goof balls out and invited REAL football enthusiasts and we have moved on from there. At some point, Brad gave up being commissioner and silly me, I took it on and so here we are today.

Complete list of rules:

FANTASY FOOTBALL RULE SHEET - 2023 SEASON

  • Each team will have a 14 player roster made up of QB, RB, WR/TE, K, and Offensive Team. It is the coach's option to allocate these positions in any way he sees fit. For example, 2 QB, 5 RB, 5 WR/TE, 1 K, 1 Offensive Team. Distribution will vary with individual strategy.
  • The selection process will be a serpentine system. Numbers will be put in a hat, the number you draw will be your position throughout the draft. If you have number 1, you pick first in the first round and last in the second round. If you have the last number, you pick last in the first round and first in the second round, etc. There is no trading of draft selections allowed. The order of number picking starts with the person finishing last the year before and so on up the standings. If there is a new person, he/she will pick at the end.
  • A final 14th round of the draft will be held to choose your "team." Each week if your team wins, you receive one point. If your team loses, you receive nothing. The person picking last in the 1st round picks 1st for this round.
  • Each week you must submit a line-up comprised of 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex (RB, WR, TE), 1 K, 1 Offensive Team. The line-up is due before game time. Your players are locked in once their game begins. If you fail to change your line-up, the prior weeks line-up is used, regardless of injuries or byes.
  • Weekly scoring is as follows: 6 points for every touchdown your players score, for quarterbacks either pass or run. Should one of your other players throw a touchdown pass, you still get the 6 points. Kickers score one point for extra points and 3 points for field goals. Don't forget about the 2-point conversion, too. Remember, you get 1 point if your team wins, none if they lose. Yardage scoring will be as follows: 1 point for every 10 yards rushing or receiving and 1 point for every 50 yards passing.  Players will also get 1 point per reception.
  • Season standings are kept by Head-to-Head against all teams. For example:  Whoever scores the highest points for a week will receive 9 wins and 0 losses.  The next highest point getter receives 8 wins and 1 loss and so on until the lowest points getter gets 9 losses and 0 wins.  If teams tie in points scored in the week, each team will receive 1 tie (if multiple teams tie, all teams will receive 1 tie for each).  These wins, losses, and ties accumulate through the 14 weeks of regular play.  As in the NFL, ties count as 1/2 win and 1/2 loss and are included in calculating total wins and total losses.  Ties are broken by Total Points.
  • Playoffs are held in Weeks 15, 16 & 17 of the regular season. The top four teams make the playoffs. The rest of us get to watch. In Week 15, the first place team plays head-to-head with the fourth place team. The second place team plays head-to-head with the third place team. Week 16 is part one of our Superbowl. The winners of the prior week play each other and the losers play each other.  Week 17 just the superbowl participants will play head-to-head again in part two.  The one with the highest cumulative total of the two weeks will be named champion.
  • Entry fee is $40.00. In addition, there is a weekly pot of $2.00 per team ($28.00) and an extra $10.00 for the website fee --- making the total cost $78. Weekly winners will receive $20. The Superbowl winner will get 50% of the entry fee pot ($200), 2nd will get 25% ($100), 3rd will get 15% ($60) and 4th will get 10% ($40).  Should you want to play the Pick 'em pool, an additional $5 is required.
  • There are no ties for our playoffs or Superbowl. An impartial party will pull a number out of a hat (1 - 14). The two teams will then compare their scores of that week selected, the one with the highest wins. This process will be repeated until there is a winner.
  • After the initial draft, teams may trade between themselves at their discretion. However, there will be no trading between players after Week 14. Also, there is unlimited trading allowed with the pool of players not chosen in the draft.
  • In the event that all players in one position on your roster are OUT (according to the injury report) or on a BYE week, you may choose any unselected player remaining. For example, if you only chose one kicker and his BYE week comes up, you can pick a kicker that was not selected in the draft without penalty of losing any of your players unless you choose to keep this player.
  • Tight Ends are considered to be Wide Receivers.
