TRADE PICKUPS: Players acquired through trades must remain with the acquiring team and can not be traded back to the delivering team for at least three weeks. This rule is to discourage the "borrowing" of players between teams by restricting trades from Team A to Team B, only to see a subsequent reversal of the trade the following week. It is apparent that many of these trades benefit the teams involved by giving them additional player depth of currently rostered players to cover open positions during byes and/or short-term injuries. Players acquired, but not yet used, are still eligible for trades without the three week limitation. The three week limitation is only IF the player is utilized in the starting lineup of the acquiring team (and only pertains to a subsequent trade with the previous owner). A subsequent trade with the previous owner of a nonused player requires only a one week holding period (instead of three week limitation if the player is used). All trades with other teams require NO holding period.
TRADE POLICY: Our league utilizes an automatic trade approval process, in which all trades are automatically approved by the league upon acceptance of the trade by both teams involved in that trade. If any league team thinks the trade is unfair, they can request a trade challenge simply by emailing or texting the Commissioner. At that time, a trade challenge poll is formed and placed on the league's homepage. All league teams (with the exception of the two teams involved in the trade) will then have the opportunity to approve or veto the trade (requiring a minimum of 5 objecting votes AND a majority of those teams voting to overturn the trade). Trade challenges are required to be requested within 48 hours of the acceptance of the trade and/or before that challenged player's respective game, and the trade challenge poll will remain in effect for 48 hours. So, it is important for all league teams to monitor trades for fairness and vote their opinion on every trade challenge. If a majority voting to veto is not obtained (with a minimum of 5 objecting votes), then the trade will be approved. Ties are not sufficient to veto a trade. During the trade challenge voting period, any and all league teams can plead their case only on the league's message board (no private emails).
LEAGUE TRADES: Trades are permitted up through the end of the regular season (Week 13). However, trades during the playoffs are not permitted. Also, we will continue the rule of no regular season trades involving teams that have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs (which has been the league rule for some time). Trades between teams are unlimited.
INJURED RESERVE STATUS POLICY: 2 players can be rostered as injured reserve if that player has been listed as Doubtful, Out, Full-Season I/R", Partial-Season I/R (called I/R Designated for Return), Covid List, Opt-Out (for those players that are choosing not to play because of Covid fears or other personal reasons), Suspended, or is on the NFL's PUP list. This will free up additional positions in which a player can be picked up to replace an injured reserve player. Previous rules required that a player placed on league IR must remain there for 3 weeks. This rule has been amended and now players can only be placed on league IR with any of the above injury designations. Once the player's injury status changes back to active, that player must be reactivated. If a player is incorrectly left on league I/R, they must be activated by the following week's waiver claim period, and that team will be placed at the bottom of the claim order for that week.
DO NOT CUT LIST: Our league uses the Yahoo! Sports Can't Cut list with additional players added based upon player rankings & ownership, and is updated periodically during the fantasy season. DO NOT CUT LIST WILL BE UPDATED PRIOR TO THE DRAFT EACH SEASON AND PERIODICALLY (APPROXIMATELY EVERY 3-4 WEEKS) DURING THE SEASON. Update (8/28/24): De'Von Achane, Davante Adams, Josh Allen, Mark Andrews, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, Ja'Marr Chase, Nico Collins, Travis Etienne, Jahmyr Gibbs, Breece Hall, Marvin Harrison, Jr., Derrick Henry, Tyreek Hill, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Justin Jefferson, Travis Kelce, Sam LaPorta, Cee Dee Lamb, Drake London, Patrick Mahomes, Trey McBride, Christian McCaffrey, Puka Nacua, Bijan Robinson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jonathan Taylor, Kyren Williams, and Garrett Wilson.
FREE AGENT / WAIVER PICKUPS: Once the regular season begins (after the kickoff of the first game), any player acquired through free agency or waivers must remain with the selecting team through the end of that given week (after the Monday Night game). This is to keep teams from picking up a player, and then changing their mind and cutting that player (which causes the player to become a "Protected" free agent (or Waiver Wire player). This keeps that player unavailable for pickup until he clears waivers at the beginning of the following week or after a 24-hour period. Free Agents and Waiver Wire pickups are still eligible for trading without breaking this rule. Players acquired through trades have their own rule (listed above under "Trade Pickups"). Please note that there may be actual issues that could occur in the real NFL that would remove that player from actually be utilized by their NFL team (mid-week injuries, pre-existing injuries, trades, player cuts, etc.). This is the risk you take by acquiring any free agent / waiver. Any violation of this time requirement (a player being picked up and dropped within the same week) will place that team at the bottom of the following week's waiver pickup rankings. In addition, that team will not be permitted to do any transactions (trades, free agent pickups, and waiver pickups) for a period of one week.
FLEX POSITION (UPDATED 1/1/2019): QBs are now permitted to be used in the FLEX position. Based upon a 2023 vote, any number of QBs can be rostered per team, but only a maximum of 1 can be used in the FLEX position each week.
LEAGUE RULE CHANGES: Any changes to the league rules requires a majority vote of those voting for approval.
TRADING PICKS / POSITIONS: All teams have the ability to trade any pick (draft position or waiver wire position) in the same manner as trading an actual player. As a result, teams are permitted to trade draft positions prior to the draft. In addition, teams are permitted to trade their weekly waiver wire position. These picks / positions can be traded for other picks / positions or for other currently owned players.
NFL PICK'EM BONUSES: 2 Bonus points will be awarded if only 1 team picked an NFL matchup correctly. 1 Bonus point will be awarded if only 2 teams picked correctly. NFL PICK'EM Championship is decided by number of total points awarded (not winning %).
