I Teams and League Makeup
1.1 Teams and Divisions
The WRUKSCFFL will be made up of 14 teams split into 2 divisions. Teams will not change divisions unless it becomes necessary to realign the league due to expansion or contraction. The divisions are aligned as follows:

1.2 Ownership of Teams
The League Commissioner will grant ownership of team franchises.
1.2a Existing Owners
All existing owners have the right to remain in the league year-to-year without need to ‘re-apply’.
1.2b New Owners
The Commissioner shall have a list of prospective new owners for future expansion or replacement of an existing franchise.
1.3 Change of Ownership
When a new owner takes over a team previously held by another, the new owner has the right to rename the team and select a new team logo (except during the middle of a season). The new owner will also keep the same players that were on the roster of the team held by the previous owner and will take over all administrative powers of the team, The draft positioning of the team under a new owner will remain the same (including future draft picks that the previous owner had traded and/or acquired). Also see point 2.5d “Abandoned Franchise”
1.4 League Fees
Each franchise owner is required to pay the £10 fee PRIOR to the draft.
1.5 Rule Changes
Owners may submit proposed rule changes to the Commissioner by the second Saturday in April. The Commissioner will circulate these via email for discussion over a period of two weeks with a further two weeks for owners to vote. Voting will conclude by midnight on the second Saturday in May. A majority vote (8 or more) is required to carry a vote.
1.5a Any owner may not propose the same rule change for a period of three subsequent years.
II Rosters
2.1 Composition to be read in conjunction with 2.4e below
2.1a ‘In Season’
Each team will have 16 roster slots. There will be NO restriction on the make up of these slots. “In Season” shall be defined as the period from midnight on the Wednesday before the opening NFL Game of the season until the Tuesday after the WRUKSCFFL Championship Game.
2.1b ‘Close Season’
Each team will have 20 roster slots. There will be NO restriction on the make up of these slots. “Close Season” shall be defined as the period from the Saturday after the WRUKSCFFL Championship Game and Midnight on the last Saturday in June – Cut-Down Day see 2.5 below.
2.1c ‘Pre Season’
Once each team has submitted their 8 ‘keepers’ as per Cut Down, see 2.5 below they are free to begin trading and may increase their rosters. Each team will again have 20 roster slots. There will be NO restriction on the make up of these slots. “Pre Season” shall be defined as the period from the Sunday following Cut Down until midnight on the Wednesday before the opening NFL Game of the season.
2.2 Starting Line-Up
Each team will start 8 players, flexible across positions as follows:
Min: 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K
Max: 1 QB, 2 RB, 4 WR, 2 TE, 1 K
The deadline for entering your starting lineup is 7pm Saturday.
2.3 Player Eligibility
Players will take up a roster spot based on their primary position as shown on NFL.Com. (FB will count as RB) They will score points on any offensive or special teams play as dictated by our scoring rules.
2.4 Injured Reserve
2.4a Allocation
Each team will have 1 allocated IR slot. This slot is in addition to the ‘active’ 16 man roster.
2.4b Eligibility
To be eligible to be placed on IR the player must have been placed on IR by his NFL team.
2.4c 3rd IR Player
In the event that an owner has a 2nd or 3rd player eligible for IR they may either:
Keep the player as one of the 16 man ‘active’ roster.
Waive the player under normal weekly free agent procedures.
Waive one of the existing IR players and place the new player on IR.
2.4d Resigning previously cut IR player.
A player waived from IR may not be resigned by the waiving team until all other teams have had an option to sign them in the weekly free agency rounds.
2.4e IR Availability
Injured Reserve slots will only be active from Draft Day through to the Tuesday after the WRUKSCFFL Championship Game.
Outside of this period all players regardless of status will form part of the 20 man rosters. This includes cut down where any player on the NFL IR may be retained but would be one of the 8 keepers.
2.5 Practise Squads
Each team will have 2 allocated PS slots. These slots are in addition to the ‘active’ 16 man roster. Each team may add one rookie who they select during that year's fantasy draft to their PS. If this rookie is not activated within his first season he is eligible to remain on the PS for a second and final season. If the rookie has not been activated after the conclusion of his second season he must be either cut or join the 16 man roster at the pre week 1 cut down
2.6 Cut Down
2.6a Requirement
The owner shall be permitted to retain 8 ‘keepers’ per season. The names of the 8 shall be submitted to the commissioner. There will be NO restriction on the make up of these slots.
2.6b Deadline
The deadline for submission of the 8 names shall be midnight on the last Saturday of June.
2.6c Non submission of ‘keepers’
Failure to submit a list of ‘keepers’ to the commissioner will result in the ENTIRE SQUAD being released.
2.6d Abandoned Franchise
In the event of an owner failing to submit their ‘keepers’ and subsequently resigning from the league, the new owner shall be permitted to select 8 of the previous franchise’s squad to form their ‘keepers’
III Draft
3.1 Draft Day
The draft will take place on the Saturday nearest to August 1st. The venue will be announced when known, usually 2 years in advance
3.2 Draft Format and Duration
The draft will take the same format as the NFL draft, eg, worst to first and shall last 8 rounds.
3.3 Draft Order
The order of selection for the draft will be decided based on W-L record, where 2 or more teams are tied the order will be decided by, Head to Head record, then Total Points Scored, then Points scored in Head to Head games.
IV Trading
4.1 Notification
All trades are to be submitted through the Commissioner via email, text message or the Website. Verbal notifications are NOT binding.
No trade will be deemed as ‘final’ until confirmation has been received by the Commissioner from both parties.
4.2 Draft Pick Trading
4.2a Draft
Draft picks may only be traded 2 years in advance. The new year is deemed to start when the website resets in March. Eg Prior to the website reset in 2017 only picks for 2017 & 2018 may be traded. From reset in 2017, picks for the 2019 draft become eligible for trading.
4.3 Deadline
The deadline for the completion of trades shall be 7pm on the Saturday of week 11. No further trades will be permitted until the Tuesday after the WRUKSCFFL Championship Game
V Free Agency
5.1 Free Agents
Any player not acquired during either the draft will become a free agent. A player also becomes a free agent when he is waived by a WRUKSCFFL franchise.
5.2 Free Agent Acquisitions
5.2a WRUKSCFFL franchises can acquire any player not currently on another team’s roster via free agency. Free agent pickup requests are to be submitted via the website at 7pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
5.3 Free Agent Priority
Requests for free agents will be handled on a ‘worst to first’ basis based on the previous draft for pre season and will be reset week one. Subsequently the order will be based on a 'rolling' format; When a team makes a selection, they move to the bottom of the priority list for the next round of free agency. Teams will only be awarded 1 player in any one ‘round’ of free agent requests.
NOTE: It is in each owner’s interest to be as clear as possible when placing their free agent requests.
5.4 Week 1 Order
The order for week 1 requests shall be the same as the draft order – PRIOR to any trades.
5.5 Trading of Free Agent Position.
Whilst the trading of draft and supplemental draft picks is permitted. A Franchises position in the free agency list may NOT be traded.
5.6 Signing of Cut Players
No player may be signed by another team in the same week in which they are cut. Eg, a player cut in week 1 may not be signed by ANY team until week 2.
5.7 Waiver Wire Open
Waiver wire will open at 7pm on the Saturday two weeks after Draft Day and will remain open until the Saturday following the Superbowl.
VI League Schedule
6.1 Regular Season
6.1a Duration
The WRUKSCFFL regular season will last thirteen (13) weeks, the first thirteen weeks of the NFL season. Teams will play all other teams once.
6.1b Schedule Creation
The schedule will be created using the RT sports website software.
6.1c Schedule Release Date
The schedule will be posted on the RT Sports website during March, ie BEFORE both the NFL draft and the release of the NFL schedule.
6.2 Post Season
6.2a Play-Offs
The WRUKSCFFL play-offs begin on week fourteen (14) of the NFL season. The play-offs conclude with the WRUKSCFFL Championship in week sixteen (16).
6.2b Qualification
A total of 6 teams will qualify for the WRUKSCFFL playoffs. The Division Champions will receive a bye into the semi final round (week 15). The next best 4 teams, irrespective of division shall be the Wild Card entrants.
6.2c Seeding and Schedule
Teams will be seeded as follows:

Week 16 Championship Game
The winners of the Semi Finals play for the WRUKSCFFL Championship. The Highest Seed having ‘Homefield Advantage’.
6.3 Qualifying/Seeding Tiebreaker
The WRUKSCFFL tie-breaking system for play-off qualification and seeding is as follows:

VII Scoring
7.1 General
The following rules apply to ALL positions.
7.2 Passing
3 pts per TD pass
1 pt per 2xp pass
1 pt per 50 yards passing
7.3 Rushing
6pts per TD rushing
2pts per 2xp rush
1pt per 25 yards rushing
7.4 Receiving
6pts per TD catch
2pts per 2xp catch
1pt per 25 yards receiving
7.5 Kicking
3pts per FG made
1pt per PAT made
7.6 Returns

VIII Game Results
8.1 General
The results as recorded on the RT Sports website shall be deemed as official. Any amendments subsequently made by the sites statistics provider shall be applied retrospectively, and results/standing amended accordingly.
8.2 Regular Season Ties
When submitting their lineups each owner must nominate a ‘backup’ This player shall be used as a tie breaker in the event of a tied game with both teams backups counting, there shall be NO homefield advantage in the regular season.
If the scores are still tied after consulting the backup players the game shall be recorded as a tie.
8.3 Play Off Ties
When submitting their lineups each owner must list ALL backups in priority order. This list shall be used as a tie breaker in the event of a tied game. The 1st backup of the ‘home’ team shall be consulted, if they scored then the ‘home’ team shall be declared the winner. If they did not score then the 1st backup of the ‘away’ team shall be consulted, if they scored, the ‘away’ team shall be declared the winner. In the event that neither 1st backup scores this process shall be repeated with each subsequent backup player until a winner is declared. If NO winner is found after consulting all 7 backups the winner shall be decided by the toss of a coin.
8.4 Overtime Scoring
ANY points scored by the backups shall be taken into account when deciding tied games including “PAT” and “yardage bonus points”.
