Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson was ruled out os Sunday's game against the New York Jets after he reaggravated a right hip injury during the first half.
Hendrickson was returning returned after a one-game absence following a hip injury that sidelined him last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Hendrickson's injury Sunday came late in the first half when he was knocked to the ground from behind on the pass rush. He walked gingerly to the sideline and was ruled out for the remainder of the game during halftime.
Coming off consecutive 17 1/2-sack seasons and his first All-Pro honor last year, Hendrickson is playing on a one-year, $30 million contract after requesting a trade from Cincinnati in March.
He has four sacks in seven games, recording one tackle in his return Sunday before exiting the game.
Starts, Sits, Sleepers: Week 8
Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media that Dillon Gabriel will remain the team's starting quarterback following their Week 9 bye. Gabriel struggled in Sunday's loss to the Patriots, completing 60 percent of his passes for just 156 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. The rookie had struggled through his three previous starts, but the lone bright spot during that span was the fact that Gabriel had not turned over the football. That streak came to an end in Week 8 as the Patriots picked him off twice. Cleveland's quarterback room also features Shedeur Sanders (back) and Bailey Zappe, neither of whom has played an NFL snap in 2025. Gabriel will have at least one more opportunity to save his job when the 2-6 Browns face the New York Jets in Week 10.

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) was diagnosed with a dislocated ankle during Sunday's Week 8 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles. He has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Skattebo suffered the gruesome-looking ankle injury while being tackled near the middle of the field in the first quarter. He finished the game with 12 rushing yards plus an 18-yard touchdown reception. The rookie's season is likely over, pending an official diagnosis from medical professionals. If his injury is confirmed as season-ending, Tyrone Tracy Jr. will take over as the Giants' lead running back while Devin Singletary occupies the backup role.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (groin) exited during the third quarter of Sunday's Week 8 contest against the New York Giants. He was taken into the blue medical tent for further evaluation, and the team is now listing him as questionable to return. The Eagles may be keeping Barkley off the field as a precaution because they lead by three possessions in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. If his day is indeed done, he will finish with 14 carries, 150 rushing yards, and one rushing touchdown, as well as four catches, 24 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown. This easily goes down as Barkley's best game of the year, getting him back on track after ranking as the overall RB14 (PPR) through the first seven weeks. The Eagles have a Week 9 bye and don't play again until Nov. 10 against the Packers, giving Barkley a full 15 days to rest and recover before his next game. In the event that he still can't suit up coming out of the bye, Tank Bigbsy would be in line to lead Philadelphia's backfield.

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (shoulder) exited during the third quarter of Sunday's Week 8 contest against the New England Patriots. He was initially listed as questionable before being downgraded to out. Fortunately for Judkins and his fantasy managers, the Browns have a Week 9 bye, giving the rookie 14 days to recover before his next game (Nov. 9 against the Jets). In the event that Judkins' absence lasts multiple weeks and keeps him sidelined coming out of the bye, Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson would be in line to lead Cleveland's backfield.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 8 contest against the Baltimore Ravens. He initially exited in the third quarter and entered concussion protocol before being ruled out. The rookie finishes the game with just one catch for a loss of one yard. Rome Odunze, DJ Moore, and Olamide Zacchaeus will continue to operate as the Bears' top three receivers going forward. Burden is at risk of missing next Sunday's game against the Bengals, as he would need to clear concussion protocol in less than seven days to play.

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (shoulder) exited during the third quarter of Sunday's Week 8 contest against the New England Patriots. He is officially listed as questionable to return. With Cleveland trailing by three possessions in the fourth quarter, we could see the Browns exercise caution and limit Judkins' workload the rest of the way, or keep him sidelined entirely. If his day is indeed done, he finishes with just 19 rushing yards, plus three catches for a loss of two receiving yards. Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson would be in line to Cleveland's backfield if Judkins misses extended time.

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson (hip) has been ruled out for the remainder of his team's Week 8 matchup against the New York Jets due to a hip injury. Hendrickson missed Week 7 and was limited in practice heading into Week 8 with a hip issue, so this appears to be a re-aggravation of an existing injury. Hendrickson recorded one solo tackle but was held without a sack in Week 8 before getting injured. The 30-year-old pass-rusher entered Week 8 with four sacks and eight QB hits in six games played so far this season. With Hendrickson sidelined, Myles Murphy and rookie Shemar Stewart will likely both see an increase in playing time at defensive end for Cincinnati.

Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver (biceps) has been ruled out for the remainder of his team's Week 8 matchup against the Carolina Panthers due to a biceps injury. Oliver recorded two QB hits and a sack before being forced to leave the game. The 27-year-old had been limited to just two games played this season heading into Week 8, and it appears he will now be battling a new ailment coming out of the week. Oliver is widely considered one of the better interior pass rushers in the NFL, so his absence is a big loss for the Buffalo defense. Larry Ogunjobi, Deone Walker, and Jordan Phillips will all likely see an uptick in playing time at defensive tackle for the Bills with Oliver sidelined.

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) has officially been ruled out for the remainder of his team's Week 8 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles after suffering a serious-looking ankle injury. Skattebo had his lower leg placed in an air cast and was carted off the field. Before getting injured, Skattebo recorded 30 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on four total touches. With Skattebo sidelined for the remainder of Week 8 and potentially much longer, the Giants will turn to a backfield combination of Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary. Tracy Jr. had recorded 174 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 43 total touches across five games entering Week 8.

New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) suffered a serious-looking ankle injury during his team's Week 8 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Skattebo had an air cast placed on his leg and was carted off the field. Assuming the rookie's day is done, he will finish Week 8 with 30 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on four total touches. With Skattebo likely out for the remainder of Week 8 and possibly much longer, the Giants will turn to the combination of Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary in the backfield. Tracy Jr. recorded 1,123 yards from scrimmage and six touchdowns across 17 games in 2024, so he's capable of producing in a lead-back role.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. (eye) underwent surgery on Monday to repair his orbital fracture, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. He has been sidelined since Week 6 following a freak accident with a piece of workout equipment. The Colts are leaving the door open for Richardson to return later this season, but his fantasy stock is at an all-time low. Even if he does play again this year, Richardson would merely operate as the backup quarterback behind Daniel Jones, who has revived his career during his first year in Indianapolis.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Luke Gifford (hamstring) and defensive back Deommodore Lenoir (quadriceps) are both active for Sunday's tilt against the Houston Texans. Gifford practiced in a limited capacity on Friday and progressed enough to be cleared for action. Lenoir opened the week as a non-participating but was able to log a limited session on Friday to suit up. Gifford has had a prominent role on special teams, totaling 18 tackles with five of them being solo. Lenoir has been a lead option in the secondary and enters Week 8 with 26 tackles (19 solo) and two pass deflections.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Darius Cooper (shoulder) is active for Sunday's contest against the New York Giants. Cooper has been sidelined since suffering this shoulder injury in Week 3 during their contest against the Rams. The undrafted rookie out of Tarleton State has yet to catch a pass in his debut campaign, but could be in store for a larger role this afternoon with top wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) inactive. During the first three games, Cooper logged just 20 total snaps, with the majority of them coming in Week 2. He should not be targeted in any DFS competitions this afternoon, given his minimal role in the offense.

Atlanta Falcons defensive back Jordan Fuller (knee) is active, and defensive lineman Zac Harrison (knee) is inactive for their contest against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. Fuller has been on the shelf since suffering this knee injury during their opening contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2024, Fuller tallied 54 tackles (28 solo) with one forced fumble as a Carolina Panther. Harrison sustained this injury during their loss to the 49ers last weekend and will miss his first game of the campaign. With Harrison sidleined, managers should expect Leonard Floyd and Ta'Quon Graham to see more snaps on the defensive line.

Chicago Bears kicker Cairo Santos (thigh) is officially active for Sunday's contest against the Baltimore Ravens. Santos has been unable to suit up in each of the last two weeks due to this thigh injury. While he has been sidelined, Jake Moody took over kicking duties in the Windy City. During his first four games of the campaign, Santos went 6-for-7 on field goals while going a perfect 11-for-11 on extra points. Given his role in an emerging offense, Santos should be viewed as a strong K1 in all leagues facing the Ravens, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing kickers this season.

New England Patriots wide receiver Efton Chism III (coach's decision) is a healthy scratch for Sunday's Week 8 contest against the Cleveland Browns. Chism was inactive for the first five games this season, but the rookie debuted in Week 6. He has logged offensive snaps in each of the last two contests. He has not yet been targeted in the passing game, but he does have seven kick returns. The 24-year-old undrafted free agent could remain a healthy scratch until another wide receiver suffers an injury.
From RotoBaller
Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young (ankle) is officially listed as inactive for Sunday's tilt against the Buffalo Bills. The former first overall pick suffered this ankle injury during their Week 7 victory over the Jets. Young was unable to practice all week and will set his sights on returning in Week 9 when the Panthers travel to Green Bay to face the Packers. With Young sitting out, veteran QB Andy Dalton is slated to operate as the team's QB1. Last season, Dalton eclipsed at least 20.0 PPR points in three of the four games he logged more than 40 offense snaps. Facing a tougher Bills defense that has allowed the sixth-most PPR points to opposing QBs, Dalton carries low-end QB2 upside.
From RotoBaller
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Hunter Renfrow is a healthy scratch for their Week 8 contest against the Buffalo Bills. Renfrow had a prominent role in the Carolina passing attack earlier in the campaign, but has seen his target share drop significantly. In Weeks 1 through 3, Renfrow saw 6.7 targets per game. However, in his last three games (Weeks 4 through 6), Renfrow has seen just 2.3 targets per game. This will now be Renfrow's second-straight game listed as a healthy scratch. With Renfrow sitting out, managers should expect much of the passing volume to go to rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette, and Jalen Coker.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (groin) is active for Sunday's contest against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants activated their top kicker from the IR earlier this weekend, and he is officially set to make his return. Gano has been on the shelf since suffering this injury in their Week 3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. During his first three games of the campaign, Gano went 6-for-6 while adding four extra points on five attempts. In 2024, Gano went 9-for-11 on attempts through 11 games and knocked in all 15 of his extra points. Given New York's emerging offense with Jaxson Dart under center, Gano carries sneaky streaming upside in deeper formats.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants linebacker Brian Burns (hip) is officially active for Sunday's contest against the Philadelphia Eagles. The star linebacker was unable to practice this week but progressed enough to suit up. Through seven games this season, Burns has totaled 34 tackles (23 solo) with nine sacks and four pass deflections. He has also forced one fumble. Managers should expect Burns to continue to operate as a full-time starter on the defensive line when they face the Eagles this afternoon.
