Hello all. We are looking to return the OZ fantasy Football League into action. But with work schedules and this late into the summer, it is hard to do an in person online draft so we decided to float out a soft re-opening of the league with an online draft you can do from home and hopefully plan an in person online draft better for the playoffs and next season. We will do a few changes to make it easier and more balanced as we ease back into this, so check the scoring and rules.
Notable Changes
1. League fee will be cheaper ($125)
2. There will be just one division (playoffs determined by record and total points, and the number of teams will determine how many will make the playoffs)
3. We will play double headers, one game peach week against a different opponent, and the other game against that week’s league average—score higher than the league average and you win, lower you lose.
4. Starting lineups will now consist of 1 Team QB, 1 RB, 1 WR/TE, 1 Team Defense (also the coach so you do not have to draft any coaches), 1 Team Kicker and 3 Flex players who can be from RB/TE/WR pool (total 9 total with the coach). This should make the draft and lineups easier as you can draft as many qbs, rbs, defenses, kickers or wr/te’s as you wish so long as you have your lineup requirement. Roster is maintained at 18 players (includes coaches you wont draft because they are your defense).
5. Usual, basic scoring with ½ point per reception and bonuses for good performances and minuses for bad performances. The team defense will also be served as your team coach, however road victories for road defenses (coaches) designated by the NFL will be one point higher than home victories for defenses designated home by the NFL, and (vice versa)-check all scoring rules for clarity.
