According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (Achilles) will likely suit up for Sunday's meeting with the Colts. The 30-year-old has played well this season while Cooper Kupp (hamstring) works toward a return, catching 11 of his 15 targets for 132 yards. Although Higbee is still without a touchdown during the 2023-24 campaign, he's played well enough to draw consideration from fantasy managers in Week 4.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (face, hands) remains questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens. He suffered burns to his face and hands during an incident involving a fire pit at his home. Although Njoku insists he'll be out there for the AFC North clash with Baltimore, the team "needs to see if he can get his helmet on." It's unknown how severe the burns are. However, considering the 27-year-old hasn't been productive while healthy this season, catching 10 passes for 92 yards and no touchdowns, he's not an ideal fantasy option in Week 4 if he is active.
From RotoBaller
According to ESPN's Kimberley A. Martin, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is expected to play in the Week 4 AFC North bout with Baltimore. The veteran suffered a shoulder injury in the win over the Titans but recently downplayed the severity of the ailment. Still, head coach Kevin Stefanski and the training staff will see how Watson feels during warmups before making an official decision. Assuming he suits up, he's a must-start in most fantasy setups.
From RotoBaller
The Kansas City Chiefs defense is an excellent streaming option for the second straight week after netting 11 fantasy points versus the dysfunctional Chicago Bears last Sunday. New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, who the Chiefs will do battle with in Week 4, harbors the third-lowest yards per attempt (5.6), and is scoring a meek 9.0 fantasy points per game. Wilson's QBR is anchored as the league's second-lowest figure (26.7) with an NFL-worst 57.0 passer rating over the course of three contests. The Chiefs have notched seven sacks and given up only 19 points since All-Pro pass-rusher Chris Jones returned in Week 2 from a contract-related holdout. Fantasy managers should tee up KC's D as a set-and-forget option on Sunday night.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is 14-for-14 on all kicking attempts so far in three 2023 games. The 28-year-old made a considerable five extra points amid last Sunday's 41-10 drubbing of the Chicago Bears. Butker represents a great bet for a busy day on Sunday against a New York Jets defense that has a propensity to bend but not break. Gang Green has allowed an NFL-high 12 field-goal tries en route to the highest fantasy points per game to kickers (13). The seventh-year man could be called upon often if the Chiefs get ahead of the Jets, and fantasy managers can safely start him as a top-tier choice on Sunday.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice emerged with five catches (seven targets) for 59 yards in last Sunday's trouncing of the Chicago Bears. The 2023 second-rounder might be the team's most interesting wideout to watch in Week 4 against the New York Jets with no other member of the receiving corps yet to stand out. Rice is paralleling the embattled Kadarius Toney (toe) in terms of target rate (36.8%), commanding 14 on just 38 routes run this year. The 23-year-old ranks 10th among WRs with 2.84 yards per route run, which is an area Toney is vastly struggling in. Rice will aim to keep creating separation at a high level and he might be pinging the radar as a possible deep-league WR4/FLEX choice on Sunday night. He should at least be atop fantasy watchlists, if not already stashed on benches, to monitor his progress.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Skyy Moore looks like the most startable fantasy choice of the team's mishmash wideout crew in Week 4 against the New York Jets, but that isn't saying very much. The 22-year-old rebounded from a catchless season opener to haul in seven of his 13 targets for 112 yards and touchdown in his last two outings. Moore spends a solid chunk of time in the slot, so he may face off less regularly with Gang Green's feared duo of Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed than his perimeter teammates. Though, it's worth noting both of whom have struggled a bit out of 2023's gates. With Kadarius Toney (toe) off the injury report, Moore is only on the WR3/4 edge in deep leagues until his role becomes more pronounced.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon managed two touchdowns on five touches (28 total yards) in Week 3's hammering of the Chicago Bears. While the 31-year-old's workload, or lack thereof, renders him hard to immediately thrust into fantasy lineups, it's an undeniably favorable matchup in Week 4 against a New York Jets defense that has been picked on for the most targets (27) and third-most catches (20) to RBs this year. Isiah Pacheco easily remains the best bet for carries as a top-24 play in this crowded backfield also including Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but McKinnon shows some signs of PPR RB3 life for Sunday night. Even so, he appears almost entirely touchdown-reliant while handling a scant 13.6% of the backfield's collective carries plus targets.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce put the cherry on top with a third-quarter touchdown in Week 3's blowout win over the Chicago Bears. The 33-year-old missed the season opener, but he's immediately picked back up on his dominant ways with a TE-best 31.5% target rate (17 targets on 54 routes run). Kelce will be tested in Week 4 against the stiff New York Jets defense, but there's plenty of room for optimism despite the rigid matchup for KC's offense. With a dynamic cornerback tandem in New York's backend, their Achilles heel defensively is easily shown in defending enemy TEs, which dates back to 2022. Gang Green's defense displays a mouthwatering matchup for Kelce after being penetrated for the third-highest fantasy points per game to the position (16.97) over three games. The eight-time Pro Bowler should have fantasy managers anticipating a late-slate hammer play on Sunday Night Football in season-long and DFS settings.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Willie Snead IV has been promoted to the active roster on Saturday. This news comes with wideouts Jauan Jennings (shin) and Deebo Samuel (knee, ribs) both uncertain to play. That being said, Snead could end up seeing some playing time if one of both of these receivers are sidelined. The 30-year-old was with the 49ers last season, so he is familiar with the system. Despite that, it's unlikely that Snead has much if any fantasy value for this Week 4 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Joey Bosa (hamstring, toe) has been ruled out for the upcoming Week 4 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 28-year-old missed three straight practices this week due to lingering injuries. That being said, the Chargers are deciding to play it safe and rest Bosa for Sunday's game. The Chargers have a bye week after this game, so hopefully that will give Bosa enough time to get healthy. This is a tough blow to the Chargers defense that will already be without safety Derwin James Jr. (hamstring) as well.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (face, arms) has been adamant that he will play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4 after suffering burns in an incident at his home, according to Kimberley A. Martin of ESPN.com, but Njoku still needs to show he is able to put on a helmet with his injuries.
From TheHuddle
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) has been out all season while recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered last season. That being said, Murray has been on the physically unable to perform list all season and it looks like he'll stay there. Murray was a long shot to be ready after four games. He's eligible to be removed from the PUP list on Monday, but that's not going to happen. The Cardinals are going to give Murray as much time as he needs to get ready to play. He's fully expected to play at some point this season, but his timetable remains unclear. In the meantime, Joshua Dobbs is expected to remain under center for the Cardinals.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder) is expected to play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4, but trainers will watch Watson throw prior to the game before a final decision is made.
Fantasy Spin: It sounds like Watson will be under center in Week 4, but fantasy owners should have a backup plan in place in case he suffers a setback during warmups.
From TheHuddle
Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller (knee) is expected to get back on the practice field this week. The veteran pass rusher has been sidelined since suffering a torn ACL on Thanksgiving of last year. It sounds like Miller has been progressing well and could get back into game action soon. In fact, Miller could return as early as Week 5, but the Bills might play it safe and give him some more time to prepare. Regardless, the return of Miller is going to be a significant boost for the Bills defense.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers DB Kendall Sheffield and WR Willie Snead were elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Sept. 30.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks CB Tre Brown (concussion) and CB Artie Burns (hamstring) did not practice and were ruled out on the Week 4 injury report Saturday, Sept. 30. CB Coby Bryant (toe) and T Charles Cross (toe) did not practice and are listed as doubtful while C Evan Brown (quad), TE Noah Fant (knee), and DE Dre'Mont Jones (hip) did not practice and are listed as questionable. TE Will Dissly (shoulder) and LB Derick Hall (knee) were full participants at practice and are listed as questionable. S Jamal Adams (knee), S Quandre Diggs (hamstring), G Phil Haynes (calf), S Julian Love (hamstring), WR DK Metcalf (ribs), LB Uchenna Nwosu (ankle), DT Jarran Reed (quadricep), LB Darrell Taylor (shin), CB Tariq Woolen (chest) were full participants and carry no designation.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans OT Geron Christian and C Jimmy Morrissey were elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Sept. 30. Also, DT Khalil Davis and OT Austin Deculus were signed to the active roster from the practice squad, and DB DeAndre Houston-Carson was released.
From TheHuddle
Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb (knee) underwent successful surgery to repair his torn meniscus and MCL, but it was discovered during surgery that he'll also need surgery to repair his ACL, according to sources Saturday, Sept. 30. He's expected to recover in time to return during the 2024 season.
Fantasy Spin: This could very well add extra time to his recovery, and multi-ligament tears are more difficult to come back from. It isn't clear when the surgery will be, but this certainly lowers his value in dynasty leagues.
From TheHuddle
Denver Broncos RB Dwayne Washington and LB Ben Niemann were elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Sept. 30.
