Rice is expected to be sidelined for two months. It's been quite the eventful day for news about Rice, who was expected to be KC's WR1 again in 2026 as he enters the final year of his rookie deal. Even if Rice was healthy, he wouldn't be available for the team's OTA practices later this month and for mandatory minicamp in early June because he'll be in jail, and the Chiefs' patience could be wearing thin. Health-wise, Rice should be fully recovered for the start of training camp this summer, but he could be facing another suspension from the NFL for violating the league's personal-conduct policy. If Rice isn't available for the start of the 2026 campaign, both Xavier Worthy and Tyquan Thornton would be the team's top pass-catchers for an offense that could be without quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) early on. After being acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars in September, Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby played a minimal role in his team's offense in 2025. With star Eagles back Saquon Barkley dominating touches, Bigsby finished the year with 58 carries for 344 yards and two touchdowns across 16 games with Philadelphia. As long as Barkley remains healthy in 2026, Bigsby is highly unlikely to provide fantasy-relevant production. Still, Bigsby has proven he can produce as a rusher at the NFL level when given the chance, averaging 4.9 yards per carry and scoring nine touchdowns over the last two seasons. With Barkley entering his age-29 season and coming off back-to-back campaigns with at least 350 touches, Bigsby profiles as a prime handcuff option for dynasty managers.

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry had one of the best years of his career in 2025, recording 60 receptions for 768 yards and seven touchdowns on 87 targets across 17 games. Henry's seven scores led Patriots pass-catchers, and he finished second on the team in both catches and receiving yards behind only veteran wideout Stefon Diggs. Henry enters 2026 atop New England's tight end depth chart, and he has established a nice chemistry in the red zone with Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. However, New England used a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Notre Dame tight end Eli Raridon. With Henry entering his age-32 season and the final year of his current contract with the Patriots, his long-term future with the team could be in question. In dynasty formats, managers may want to explore sell-high opportunities on Henry before it's too late.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden struggled to live up to his first-round draft pedigree as a rookie in 2025, recording just 29 receptions for 361 yards on 44 targets across 14 games. The 22-year-old has yet to score his first NFL touchdown, and he played more than half of the Packers' offensive snaps in just one game after Week 8 last season. However, Green Bay lost a pair of wide receivers over the offseason, trading Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles and letting Romeo Doubs walk in free agency. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott put together one of the most productive seasons of his career in 2025, completing 67.3% of his pass attempts for 4,552 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Prescott led the league in completions for the second time in the last three seasons, and his consistent passing volume provided him with a safe week-to-week production floor. Entering 2026, Prescott appears well-positioned to repeat his success. Dallas has arguably the best wide receiver tandem in the NFL in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, and tight end Jake Ferguson hauled in 82 receptions and eight touchdowns in 2025. Prescott is getting up there in age as he enters his age-33 season, but he should have at least a few more high-end seasons as long as he can stay healthy. Prescott may not offer dynasty managers the highest ceiling, but he profiles as a borderline dynasty QB1 heading into 2026.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker was one of the buzzier names in fantasy circles last summer, but he suffered a quad injury in late August that caused him to miss the first six weeks of the 2025 season. Coker posted modest numbers upon his return, recording 33 receptions for 394 yards and three touchdowns on 43 targets across 11 games. However, Coker played some of his best football down the stretch of the season, logging 244 of his receiving yards and all three of his touchdowns over his final five contests. The 24-year-old also posted a huge performance in the NFC Wild Card Round against the Los Angeles Rams, hauling in nine catches for 134 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets. 2025 first-rounder Tetairoa McMillan is locked in as the WR1 in Carolina, and the team added wide receiver Chris Brazzell II in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Still, Coker is well-positioned to earn the Panthers WR2 role and could be in for a breakout year.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb ran into some health issues in 2025, missing three games due to an ankle injury. However, the 27-year-old remained a highly productive pass-catcher when healthy, hauling in 75 receptions for 1,077 yards and three touchdowns on 117 targets across 14 games. The presence of fellow high-end wideout George Pickens in Dallas may prevent Lamb from accruing enough targets to match the 1,700-yard, 12-touchdown peak season he posted in 2023. At the same time, Pickens' ability to win down the field keeps defenses honest and should allow Lamb plenty of space to operate. Additionally, Pickens is currently signed to the franchise tag and remains without a long-term extension, putting his future in Dallas in question. Lamb is widely valued as a dynasty WR1, which makes it difficult to classify him as a buy-low candidate. Still, managers may want to consider targeting Lamb at a relative low point in his value, given his potential to re-emerge as one of the truly elite wide receivers in fantasy football.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler was told that Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles) has "hit it off" with new head coach Todd Monken, "who's got an offensive concept, some elements that Watson has run in the past and been his best at." Although second-year QB Shedeur Sanders is the better long-term option for the Browns under center, offseason reports favoring Watson continue to emerge. The Browns aren't tipping their hand at all as to whether Watson or Sanders has the lead in the offseason QB competition, but as long as he's recovered from a twice-torn Achilles tendon that kept him on the sidelines for all of 2025, the 30-year-old Watson appears to have the current edge over Sanders. Since signing a five-year, $230 million deal with the Browns in March of 2022, Watson has only started 19 games and completed 61.2% of his passes for 3,365 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. However, he has the momentum with a new coaching staff and has reportedly recovered nicely from his Achilles injury suffered in 2024. In RotoBaller's 2026 QB rankings, Watson sits at No. 32, with Sanders at No. 34, so neither signal-caller will be much of an option for fantasy managers in traditional single-QB leagues in 2026.

Buffalo Bills new head coach Joe Brady said that he loves what he's seen from wide receiver Keon Coleman this offseason and his approach, according to Sal Capaccio. "I made sure when I got the job he knew he was going to be here and be a part of our offense," Brady said. General manager Brandon Beane also said in April that the Bills want to "hit the reset button" on Coleman, who has been a big disappointment, both on and off the field, since the team selected him with the 33rd overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft out of Florida State. The 23-year-old has struggled with drops and maturity issues in his two seasons in the league, catching 67 of 116 targets for 960 yards and eight touchdowns in 26 regular-season games (18 starts). Coleman was benched for several games last year after showing up late to a team meeting. The Bills aren't giving up on him yet, but fantasy managers in single-year leagues will be leaving him to the waiver wire to begin the 2026 season. Arizona Cardinals veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett was not present for the team's first voluntary OTA practice on Monday, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Brissett has been staying away from the team this offseason as he seeks a raise for the 2026 season. The 33-year-old veteran signal-caller took over for the injured Kyler Murray in Week 6 of the 2025 campaign and never looked better, having a career year with 3,366 passing yards, 23 touchdown passes, and eight interceptions in 14 games (12 starts). Right now, he's scheduled to be paid as the No. 26 QB in 2026 at $5.44 million, so Brissett is looking for a raise after his production rose as a full-time starter last year. The Cardinals have already informed him that he'll be their starter again going into the 2026 regular-season opener in early September. Brissett outperformed expectations last year in a pass-happy offense, but fantasy managers cannot expect the same kind of weekly ceiling in a new offense under head coach Mike LaFleur that should be much more balanced. Atlanta Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski said that quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. (knee) will split first-team reps during organized team activities this month, according to Josh Kendall of The Athletic. "It's all very intentional," Stefanski said. Kendall reports that Penix looks good throwing on the field, but he isn't doing any team drills yet. Penix, who is recovering from the third ACL surgery of his career dating back to college, has made good progress, but the Falcons are still unsure if he'll be fully cleared for the start of training camp at the end of July. Although Tagovailoa's stock is way down after flaming out in Miami, he should be considered the favorite right now to win the starting QB gig going into Week 1 of the 2026 regular season until Penix is fully healthy. Tagovailoa has been much more accurate in his career than Penix, but he hasn't been very effective pushing the ball down the field. The former fifth overall pick has the experience and health edge over Penix, making him the better QB2 sleeper target in superflex leagues going into fantasy drafts later this fall.

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) said that he will be ready to go for the team's Week 1 regular-season opener on Sept. 13 against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys after breaking his right fibula and dislocating his right ankle in his rookie campaign in 2025, according to Steven Whyno of The Associated Press. "I'm a little ways out. Not too far, but I'll be ready to go. Week 1, I'll be ready to go," Skattebo said. Both general manager Joe Schoen and head coach John Harbaugh said they hope that the second-year back is back at some point during training camp this summer. The former fourth-rounder out of Arizona State quickly became the Giants' RB1 in 2025 and rushed for 410 yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries before suffering his season-ending injury in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Skattebo also had 24 catches for 207 yards and two touchdowns as a pass-catcher. Even if Tyrone Tracy Jr. remains involved, which he should be, the 24-year-old Skattebo is a rising fantasy football commodity in dynasty and redraft leagues in a Giants offense that should rely more on the ground game under Harbaugh. Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley said that running back De'Von Achane, who is fresh off signing a four-year, $68 million contract extension last week, is present and will be out at Tuesday's OTA session, according to David Furones of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Hafley said that the feeling around the team is one of excitement and happiness for Achane after his big extension. The 24-year-old was a first-time Pro Bowler in 2025 in what was a breakout season in his third year in the NFL. Achane had 238 rushing attempts for 1,350 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground, adding 67 receptions for 488 yards and four more TDs as a pass-catcher on 85 targets in 16 starts. He led the league with a 5.7-yard-per-carry mark and was really the only consistent offensive weapon for the Dolphins last year in another disappointing season for the organization. The former third-rounder out of Texas A&M will stay in South Beach as the Dolphins build around him on offense, starting with quarterback Malik Willis. Volume shouldn't be a problem for Achane again in 2026, but efficiency could be, as the only elite offensive weapon on offense in Miami. Achane is ranked as RotoBaller's No. 7 fantasy RB for the upcoming 2026 campaign.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) is an undisputed MVP finalist every year, but his fantasy value has taken a hit in recent years. He has ranked outside the top 10 fantasy quarterbacks in each of the last two seasons, creating some doubts about whether he can be a top fantasy option in dynasty leagues long-term. The good news is that Mahomes, who is coming back from a torn ACL, should be healthy for most of the 2026 season, and he still has a very long career ahead of him. Currently 30 years old, we could see the Texas Tech product maintain superstardom in the NFL for the next decade-plus. With that being said, if his mobility declines as he gets older, he might struggle to produce as many fantasy points as some of football's run-heavy quarterbacks. That consideration is baked into RotoBaller's latest dynasty rankings, which currently have Mahomes as the overall QB8. That puts him in the fourth tier of quarterbacks, alongside Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts. Fantasy managers should eventually explore selling high on Mahomes because of his name value, but they might wait to do so until after he's recovered from his knee injury.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington is trending up in fantasy football rankings ahead of the 2026 season. The Dolphins released Tyreek Hill and traded away Jaylen Waddle, leaving a relatively barren wide receiver room. The team did draft Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell, and Kevin Coleman Jr., but it's too early to tell whether any of those rookies will be able to make an impact right away. We'd be much more optimistic about an established veteran like Washington, Jalen Tolbert, or Tutu Atwell contributing as early as Week 1. Washington currently projects as the team's No. 1 receiver, and based on his expected volume, he could be due to set new career-highs in many statistical categories. He should certainly build on last year's line of 46 catches, 317 yards, and three touchdowns, which allowed him to rank as the WR54 in PPR leagues. Washington isn't the flashiest name in fantasy football, but purely based on volume, he's an intriguing WR3/flex play in 2026. He's cheaper than most WR3/flex options in dynasty trades, making him an intriguing buy-low option this offseason.

Indianapolis Colts running back Seth McGowan could be in the mix for playing time as a rookie, in addition to being an intriguing long-term stash for dynasty fantasy football. Selected in the seventh round of this year's NFL Draft, McGowan should compete for the backup role behind Jonathan Taylor. He's not the favorite to back up Taylor, as DJ Giddens and Ulysses Bentley both have a leg up on McGowan because of their NFL experience, but he's in the mix nonetheless. After all, McGowan has shown that he can produce against higher levels of competition. Last year at Kentucky, he tallied 725 rushing yards, 126 receiving yards, and 12 touchdowns. Taylor is the only Colts running back who should be started on a weekly basis, but whichever running back ends up being his handcuff represents a very encouraging stash in dynasty leagues. McGowan projects as an early fourth-round pick in 2026 fantasy football rookie drafts.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Michael Trigg faces an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster ahead of Week 1. The Cowboys signed Trigg, a Baylor product, as an undrafted free agent last month. While his Scouting Combine measurables were impressive, we're not optimistic that the Cowboys have space for him on their roster. Dallas has one of the most established tight end rooms in the NFL, led by Jake Ferguson, with Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford solidified in depth roles. If Dallas explores the possibility of carrying a fourth tight end to play on special teams, Trigg will be in the mix, but even then, he'd have to compete with Princeton Fant and fellow undrafted free agent DJ Rogers. In his final season at school, Trigg caught 50 passes for 694 yards and six touchdowns. He ranks outside RotoBaller's top 70 rookies for dynasty fantasy football.
