Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kaleb Johnson had an incredibly disheartening rookie season in 2025, tallying just 69 rushing yards and nine receiving yards. He was a healthy scratch seven times, and he didn't register a single return on special teams after Week 2. The Iowa product quickly became a non-factor on the Steelers' roster, which was somewhat surprising since the team drafted him in the third round of last year's draft. Johnson's outlook with the Steelers could be dissipating as quickly as it was ignited. Between his subpar 2025 season and the arrival of a new coaching staff that has no pre-existing ties to him, Johnson seems like he could be the odd man out in Pittsburgh's backfield next year. The Steelers signed Rico Dowdle to pair with Jaylen Warren, so at best, Johnson will be the team's No. 3 running back. It's only been a year, but he's already droppable in most dynasty leagues.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton (shin, groin) continues to face plenty of competition for targets, forcing dynasty managers to exercise additional patience. Horton was an exciting name to watch last year, largely due to his fifth-round price tag and the Seahawks' willingness to trade away DK Metcalf. He certainly flashed some intriguing production, including four touchdowns over the first five games of his rookie season. However, even in the post-Metcalf era of Seahawks football, Horton faces stiff competition for targets. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is one of the best players in the entire NFL, and Rashid Shaheed figures to have a sizable role after signing an extension. Cooper Kupp is also under contract, leaving Horton in line for the No. 4 receiver role -- and that's only if he's healthy. Horton had surgery and won't be ready for the start of offseason programs. It seems like there's a decent chance he's ready for Week 1, but even so, his somewhat discouraging role on the depth chart makes him tough to trust in fantasy football. He's worth holding in dynasty leagues and will likely require significant patience from his fantasy managers.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf suddenly finds himself facing plenty of competition for targets on offense. The 28-year-old entered this offseason as the Steelers' clear No. 1 receiver, and it initially seemed like he was due for even more targets with Calvin Austin III slated for free agency. While Austin did indeed sign elsewhere (the New York Giants, to be exact), Pittsburgh brought in a major pass-catching threat by trading for Michael Pittman Jr. Not only is the former Indianapolis Colts receiver a huge contributor on offense, but he could push to take over as the Steelers' No. 1 receiver in front of Metcalf. That's not bad news for the Steelers -- two top receivers is a nice luxury to have -- but it's potentially concerning for Metcalf's dynasty managers. Pittsburgh's offense wasn't great by any means last year, and they could go run-heavy in 2026 with Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle in tow. If Metcalf can't even separate himself from Pittman, he might have trouble improving on his 2025 stat line, which included 59 catches, 850 yards, and six touchdowns. Metcalf should be viewed as a mid-to-high WR3 with WR2 upside.

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride had a spectacular 2025 season, and he'll look to repeat his success with quarterback consistency on the way in 2026. Outside of five games with Kyler Murray as his quarterback, McBride spent most of last season catching passes from Jacoby Brissett. The veteran backup isn't a flashy passer by any means, but he played surprisingly well and supported an elite-tier campaign from McBride. The 26-year-old finished the year with 126 catches, 1,239 yards, and 11 touchdowns, ranking as the overall TE1 in full-PPR leagues. He has now been a top-two fantasy tight end in back-to-back seasons, and with Brissett due back next year, McBride remains a top fantasy option at his position. Of course, the markets have adjusted and McBride no longer comes at a discount. He's priced as one of the top tight ends in fantasy football and will likely have a second-round ADP in most leagues next summer. From a dynasty perspective, he should be held in all leagues. He's too expensive to buy low, but too young and talented to sell high.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews could be headed for a bounce-back campaign in 2026 after the departure of two teammates. Baltimore watched Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar walk in free agency, leaving no doubt that Andrews is the Ravens' No. 1 tight end going forward. That's potentially good news for his fantasy outlook, as managers will be looking for him to bounce back from a subpar 2025 season in which he caught 48 passes for 422 yards and five touchdowns. He has ranked outside the top 14 fantasy tight ends (full-PPR) in two of the last three years. Dynasty managers should feel encouraged that he might reverse course and get back on track next season. Even though he's in his thirties, Andrews can be an encouraging buy-low in dynasty leagues this offseason since many of his fantasy managers are likely discouraged by recent results.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Cameron Ward (shoulder) has been cleared to throw the football this offseason after suffering a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder in the Week 18 regular-season finale, according to Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network. Last month, the Titans focused on Ward's lower body and his footwork, but now he's been cleared to throw. Wolfe says that Ward "should be good to go" for offseason workouts with the rest of the team as he looks to improve going into Year 2 in 2026. The former University of Miami star wants to get ahead this offseason and learn new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll's system. The Titans are optimistic that Daboll will allow Ward to be the playmaker that he is, similar to what he did for Josh Allen in Buffalo. Fantasy managers will be more cautiously optimistic in redraft leagues this fall, but Ward has weapons in place to make a sophomore jump. Treat him as a low-end QB2 in drafts later this year, but with plenty of upside for more.

Free-agent cornerback Roger McCreary agreed to terms on an undisclosed one-year deal with the Detroit Lions on Friday, a source told Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. McCreary will head to the NFC North after spending the 2025 season with the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams. In 14 combined games during the regular season, the 26-year-old defensive back had a career-low 37 tackles (23 solo), one sack, an interception, and two pass breakups. McCreary was selected in the second round (35th overall) in the 2022 NFL draft out of Auburn and played the first three full seasons of his career in Nashville. He opened last season with the Titans before being traded to L.A. in late October. McCreary spent four games on the sidelines in 2025 with a hip injury, but he should be ready for all offseason workouts with his new squad. In what is likely to be a rotational role in Detroit's secondary, McCreary is off the IDP radar.

The New York Jets agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal with free-agent safety Andre Cisco (pectoral) on Friday, a source told ESPN. The contract has a base value of $2.5 million and can reach $5.25 million with performance-based incentives. Former starter Tony Adams signed with the Tennessee Titans this offseason, so along with Cisco, the Jets have fortified their secondary by trading for former Pro Bowl safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. They also signed safety Dane Belton in free agency earlier this week. Cisco, 25, played the first four years of his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars after they took him in the third round in 2021 out of Syracuse. He played for the Jets last year and finished with 41 tackles (26 solo), a pass breakup, and a fumble recovery in eight games played due to a torn pectoral muscle. Cisco is fully recovered from his injury and is expected to be ready for Week 1 this fall, but he won't be an option in IDP fantasy formats. He has appeared in 71 games (55 starts) in his five NFL seasons.

The Buffalo Bills and free-agent safety Geno Stone agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal on Friday, a source told ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg. The Bills haven't re-signed safeties Jordan Poyer, Damar Hamlin, and Darnell Savage, and they cut Taylor Rapp for salary cap space. To help bolster their secondary going into the 2026 season, Buffalo also came to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million with veteran safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson on Thursday. The 26-year-old Stone spent the last two years with the Cincinnati Bengals and had a career-high 104 tackles in 2025. He was originally a seventh-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2020 out of Iowa. Stone played better in the second half of last season, but overall, the Bengals' defense was once again a weak spot. He'll give the Bills an experienced safety who has 312 career tackles (205 solo), two sacks, and 14 interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) in his six years in the NFL. In fantasy IDP leagues in 2025, Stone was the No. 10 defensive back in overall fantasy points.

The Philadelphia Eagles have had positive momentum a few times for a potential trade of wide receiver A.J. Brown in recent weeks and days, but nothing has come together. The NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that the situation with free-agent tight end Dallas Goedert is a big piece of why Brown has yet to be traded. Goedert has a void date in his contract, which, if triggered, would be a $20 million salary cap. It's why the Eagles have pushed back the void date twice on Goedert's contract to buy them more time in Brown trade talks. Garafolo adds that Goedert and Brown are "sort of interconnected." "They can't pay Goedert if they are keeping Brown, and they can't take both cap hits." There isn't any real momentum for a trade of Brown right now, and The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported earlier on Friday that Brown won't be traded at this time. Garafolo thinks general manager Howie Roseman will engage in more trade talks over the weekend. For fantasy purposes, Brown won't necessarily have more upside if the Eagles trade him, but Goedert's fantasy value would become much more stable if he stays and Brown goes.

Former Tennessee Titans free-agent defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day signed a two-year, $11 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday, agent Drew Rosenhaus told Adam Schefter of ESPN. The deal includes $6 million in 2026. Joseph-Day will head to the fifth team in his career after spending the last two seasons with the Titans. The 30-year-old veteran interior defensive lineman had 85 tackles (40 solo), 4.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, 12 QB hits, and a fumble recovery in 34 games (22 starts) in his two years in Nashville. While Joseph-Day isn't really relevant in IDP fantasy leagues, he could become a key rotational piece at defensive tackle in the Steel City behind stalwarts Cameron Heyward and Derrick Harmon. The former sixth-rounder by the Los Angeles Rams in 2018 out of Rutgers has 15.5 sacks in his seven seasons while also steadily racking up 314 combined tackles.

The Philadelphia Eagles and tight end Dallas Goedert have pushed the void date back on his contract a second time, this time to Monday, league sources told Zach Berman of The Athletic. The two sides had previously set a deadline for Friday afternoon. It most likely means that the two sides are interested in a reunion. There's a good chance the 31-year-old will agree to a new deal with Philly this weekend to return as the team's top pass-catching tight end. The former 49th overall pick in the second round of the 2018 draft out of South Dakota State, Goedert set career-highs in catches (60) and touchdowns (11) while going for 591 receiving yards in 15 regular-season starts. If Goedert does return, his role in the passing game could grow even further if the Eagles decide to trade disgruntled wideout A.J. Brown. As insurance, the Eagles added depth at tight end with Grant Calcaterra and Johnny Mundt in free agency earlier this week.

The Indianapolis Colts re-signed wide receiver Laquon Treadwell to an undisclosed one-year deal on Friday, league sources told James Boyd of The Athletic. The former first-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2016 will now enter his third year with the Colts and his 11th season overall in the NFL. Boyd writes that Treadwell is a "solid special-teamer with no ego." The 30-year-old veteran out of Mississippi is unlikely to be a factor on offense for the Colts in 2026 as primarily a special teams asset. Treadwell has caught just one pass since the start of the 2023 season and has 111 receptions for 1,242 yards and five touchdowns in 93 games (24 starts) over his 10 years in the league. In the 10 games he appeared in, Treadwell didn't have a single target last year. He'll provide depth at the WR position behind Alec Pierce, Josh Downs, and Ashton Dulin.

After "serious conversations" with both the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots, the Philadelphia Eagles are not planning to trade star wide receiver A.J. Brown "at this time," per Dianna Russini of The Athletic. Russini reports that if a move does eventually happen, it will likely occur closer to June 1. Brown's name has frequently appeared in trade rumors after a tumultuous 2025 season that saw him make multiple public complaints about the Eagles' offense through the media. Even still, the 28-year-old recorded 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns on 121 targets across 15 games played. Philadelphia's asking price on Brown is surely sky-high, as he's a three-time All-Pro who has a proven track record as one of the best wide receivers in football. Brown would profile as the clear WR1 in New England, but a trade to Los Angeles would be less than ideal for fantasy managers, given that the Rams already have a pair of star wideouts in Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

Across 16 games as a member of the New York Giants in 2025, wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson hauled in 92 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns on 140 targets. The 25-year-old was rewarded handsomely for his efforts in free agency by the Tennessee Titans, who signed him to a four-year contract. Robinson has established himself as a high-volume short area pass-catcher, recording back-to-back seasons with 90-plus receptions and 140 targets. With the Titans, he should be in a perfect spot to see as many targets as he can handle. Across 17 games as a rookie in 2025, Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren recorded 76 receptions for 817 yards and four touchdowns on 112 targets. Like the rest of the Colts offense, Warren's production faded as the season progressed. After Indianapolis' Week 11 bye, the 23-year-old failed to log more than five receptions for 45 receiving yards in any of the team's final seven contests. Still, Warren showed significant upside in his first NFL campaign and should be well-positioned to re-capture some of his first-half magic in 2026. For one, the Colts should be getting back quarterback Daniel Jones (Achilles), who missed the team's final four games of 2025 after suffering a torn Achilles tendon. Perhaps most importantly, Indianapolis traded wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers, opening the door for Warren to be the team's clear lead target-earner in 2026 and beyond. Warren should be considered an elite dynasty tight end option for fantasy managers.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy battled a nagging toe injury for much of the first half of the 2025 season and was ultimately sidelined for eight games. Still, the 26-year-old got hot down the stretch and ultimately put together solid numbers in the nine games he was able to play, completing 69.4% of his pass attempts for 2,167 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Purdy also made a modest fantasy impact with his legs, rushing for 147 yards and three scores. Purdy could be without a couple of key weapons for at least the start of 2026, as star tight end George Kittle (Achilles) will likely miss the start of the year with a torn Achilles tendon, and wide receiver Jauan Jennings is currently lingering in unrestricted free agency. However, San Francisco made one of the biggest splashes of the offseason by signing star wide receiver Mike Evans, who immediately gives Purdy a high-end downfield and red zone target. The 49ers could also get more out of wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who has been limited by injuries to just 20 games played over his first two NFL seasons. While the loss of Kittle hurts, San Francisco still has a solid supporting cast around Purdy that should allow the young QB to continue to be a productive option for fantasy managers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan had his 2025 season largely derailed after he suffered a neck injury in preseason action that caused him to miss 13 games. Upon his return, the 24-year-old recorded 12 catches for 178 yards on 15 targets across Tampa Bay's final four contests of the regular season. However, McMillan could be well-positioned for a bounce-back year in 2026. Longtime stalwart Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans signed with the San Francisco 49ers in free agency, opening the door for McMillan to carve out a regular role alongside Tampa Bay wideouts Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin Jr. McMillan flashed significant upside as a rookie in 2024, hauling in 37 catches for 461 yards and eight touchdowns on 58 targets across 13 games. With Godwin Jr. battling injuries and age-related decline in recent years, McMillan could emerge as the WR2 in Tampa Bay as soon as next season. His dynasty value should be trending upwards following the departure of Evans from Tampa Bay.

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) burst onto the scene as a rookie in 2025, recording 617 yards from scrimmage and seven touchdowns on 125 touches across the first eight weeks of the season. Unfortunately for Skattebo and the Giants, the 24-year-old suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 8 that cut his rookie campaign short. On the bright side, Skattebo is expected to make a full recovery and should be a full participant in Giants training camp. Skattebo currently projects as the RB1 in New York heading into 2026, although fellow back Tyrone Tracy Jr. will certainly warrant some touches as well. However, the Giants have been linked to University of Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, who is widely considered the number one prospect at the position in the 2026 NFL Draft. If the Giants do indeed select Love, Skattebo's dynasty stock would take a major hit. Assuming New York does not make a major addition at running back, Skattebo looks well-positioned to establish himself as a workhorse back in 2026.

Free-agent tight end Tyler Conklin is signing an undisclosed one-year deal with the Detroit Lions on Friday, according to his agent, Mike McCartney. Conklin will join the Lions, his fourth different team, for his ninth NFL campaign in 2026. The 30-year-old veteran played for the Los Angeles Chargers last year and caught only seven of his 10 targets for 101 yards and no touchdowns in 13 regular-season games (five starts) as a depth option. The former fifth-round pick (157th overall) by the Minnesota Vikings in 2018 out of Central Michigan will likely be in a depth role again in his move to Motown, behind both Sam LaPorta (back) and Brock Wright (neck), leaving him avoidable in all fantasy football leagues. Conklin had a career-high 621 receiving yards in 2023 with the New York Jets, and he's never scored more than four times in a single season. He's caught a total of 270 passes in his career for 2,645 yards and 11 touchdowns across his eight seasons.
