Opening week is always a good time.  It's the time to see if what we drafted is going to work this year.  Now it is only one week, but sometimes we know right away that we have found some gems on our hands!  Then there is some teams who start out red hot, but it is a one week wonder.  That is where we stand with the A-Dawgs.  A once two time champion (its been so long, but worth repeating, two time champ!  Thats more than Spankyz) But, the A-Dawgs have been mired in mediocrity, for a number of years now, and that could be putting it kindly to our red headed friend.  The A-Dawgs went on to nip another of our favorite red heads in week one with a come from behind 179-162 win over Suckaditka.  The reason we lead with this story is Carrie scored 162 points everyone!! She would had beat any of the other 16 teams in the league, but she just so happened to draw the short straw and go against the red hot A-Dawgs.  Kenneth Walker went off to cap the comeback with 42 points and was threatening to run for almost 200 yards!  But then throw in Jalen Cokers 35 points (who would had predicted that ) and Caleb Williams 44 and it stunned Carries great days she had from D'Andre Swift, Justin Jefferson and top tight end Isaiah Likely last week.  Suckaditka can feel great and could be a great sign of what can be this year, but the spotlight last week falls on the A-Dawgs.

Norm Buds also have to be mentioned as they are currently the top team in the league!  They had to play two games were most teams played one, and the fantasy football gods pitted Norm against Janke's Spankyz and the newly named GOAT led by Dane Wilson.  These two are arguably the best two fantasy teams year of year, and it was the NORM BUDS not just winning one, but two games last week!!  Norm held on to beat the GOAT 122-117 and an uncharacteristic slow start for Janke (its only one week, but is Spankyz in trouble?) only scored 56 points. 

Other quick storylines to mention is Caveman came out big with 152 points, and Jamodaddy put up 148 to get Travis and Cam both off to 1-0 starts.  Defending champ Fish Ticklers also won 110-88 over Brew Crew and Farm Cats rallied with a late Kelce catch to already get a win beating Molsack 75-74.  Farm Cats only had won two games all of last year.

Onto week 2 as we started it off with a crazy Lions-Bills game.  Let's see who bounces back and who keeps it rolling in Week 2
