By-Laws
League Fee: $250 Entry Fee.
League Setup: 12 Teams, Two Conferences of 6 Teams, 14 Regular Season Games, 3 Playoff weeks. Conferences are decided by draft order with all of the odd number draft picks in the NFC and even number draft picks in the AFC.Draft: League will use a Kentucky Derby draft. We will draw names in order for the right to choose your draft slot. First name drawn gets first choice of draft position and on down the line. Players are on the clock and will have 24 hours from the previous selection to pick their draft position.
Starting Lineup: 1 Quarterback (QB), 2 Running Backs (RB), 3 Wide Receivers (WR), 1 Flex player (RB,WR,TE), 1 Tight End (TE), 1 Kicker (K), 1 Team Defense (DT), TOTAL: 10.
Roster: Maximum of 18 players on your roster
Lineups: Lineups are due by kickoff of game time for the player to be started. Lineups must be entered via the website. If you do not enter a lineup, the lineup you had for the previous week will be used. It is strongly recommended you enter your lineup early(i.e. Tuesday or Wednesday) and make modifications later in the week if needed. This will prevent having the previous weeks lineup used if you forget to turn in your lineup (or don't have access to a computer late in the week). To break a tie in the weekly games, we go by yardage from all started position players except defense and kicker.
Free Agents: A salary cap of $500 is applied to each team. You can track free agent money remaining for all teams in the reports/transactions/money transactions menu. All free agent bidding will be done through the website. There is no cap on a single bid. In case of a tie the bidding team with the worst record will receive the player. Lowest points and coin flip are the next two tie breakers. Free agency / waivers will run Thursday and Saturday at 10am. Free agency will then be open on a first come first serve basis from Saturday at 2pm until Sunday at 10am (First Sunday kickoff). All times are PST. Free agency will run through the regular season for all teams and through the playoffs for playoff teams only. Free Agents are required to stay on roster for 0 days. If there is a tie on a free agent bid before the season starts, the teams that tie will "rebid" on the player.
Trades: Will be done via league website, so get in there and work it out with your fellow owners. Any questions in regards to the validity of a trade will be discussed with Commissioner. If we do not agree we will utilize a league vote. See below for trade deadline.
Schedule: Fantasy teams play head to head. The team with the most points gets the win. In the event of a tie, the tie breaker is total yards from scrimmage passing, rushing and receiving for the starting QB, RBs, WRs, and the TE.- Regular season runs through week 14 of the NFL schedule (last week of NFL bye weeks)
- Week 15: 1st place team from each conference gets a bye. The 2nd and 3rd place teams from each conference play in the first round of the playoffs. 2nd and 3rd place teams are determined by win/loss record with total points being the first tie breaker.
- Week 16: Winners from week 15 play the #1 seed in their respective conferences.
- Week 17: Winners from week 16 play for all the marbles.
Playoffs: The playoffs will be as follows. Six teams make the play-offs. The top teams in each conference (by win loss record) will get byes for Week 14. The second and third place team from each conference will play in the first round of the playoffs. The playoffs will remain in conference until the week 16 Super Bowl. The losers of the week 15 conference championship games will play a week 16 Consolation game to determine 3rd and 4th place.
Toilet bowl rules: Top non-playoff team from each conference gets a bye in round one of the TB tournament. Fifth and sixth place teams from each conference will play in the first round of the TB tournament (Week 15). Winners from week 15 play the #1 seed in their respective conferences (Week 16). Winners from week 16 play for the Toilet Bowl championship (Week 17).
Tiebreakers: Total points is the first tiebreaker, conference record is next, followed by a coin flip.
Payout: The payout will be as follows:' Total league pot $3000 - $100 site/league fee = $2900 - $300 eliminator pool = $2600 - $75 commish fee = $2525 - $150 toilet bowl pot = $2375 - $100 4th place = $2275 - $225 (10% rounded) 3rd place - $685 (30% rounded) 2nd place - $1365 (60%) 1st place. Payouts to be made within 2 weeks of the championship game.Deadbeat Rules: As an incentive to keep active in the league we voted to penalize teams that do not enter a starting lineup. I am truly hoping that I never have to enforce the rule but here it is.
- There will be a $25 fine (per occurrence) for a team that fails to put in a starting lineup
- Commish will intervene and insert the player with the highest projected points only if and when a team that is being affected calls or messages and requests that I do so.
- This only applies to players on a bye or players with an "out" injury designation that are in a starting lineup and there is an active player on the bench (does not apply to game time decision situations)
- I just want to reiterate that the last thing I want to do is mess with another teams lineup so please get your lineups set early in the week in case something happens on the weekend and you are unable to do it later. You can always make changes up until game time. Remember that your games outcome can affect other teams playoff situations so put your best team out there every week even if you are having a down year.
League precedents based on past rulings:
1. Scoring changes from the NFL will be counted until kickoff of the Sunday morning game the following week..
2. All entered lineups are final. Phone messages are not grounds for changing lineups.
3. If there is any collusion or disagreements anytime during the year it may come to a vote of all league owners, excluding the parties involved. The Commissioner has final approval.
4. If you play a week with an illegal roster (meaning that you leave a player on IR who is not eligible and you do not have an open roster spot), that player immediately becomes a free agent.
Keeper rules:
1. You can only keep a player for one year then they go back into the draft pool. No keepers allowed in the first two rounds2. You can only keep a player that you drafted or picked up as an UDFA (See UDFA rule below). You can't keep a player that you traded for.
3. You give up your draft pick in the round that your keeper was drafted.
4. Player must be on your roster at the end of the season to be eligible as a keeper (IR is OK)
5. Undrafted free agents (UDFA) are eligible as keepers with the following qualifiers:
- You have to be the first team to pick the player off the waiver wire that season.
- UDFA keepers are given a 10th round designation meaning that you will forfeit a 10th round pick should you elect to "keep" an UDFA.
6. Keepers must be declared one week before our draft.
- Please declare keeper in a private or public message to me on the message board sometime before the deadline.
- If you do not declare a keeper by the deadline no keeper will be awarded.
- You can change your keeper up until the draft if the original keeper is injured before the season. All keepers are set and can't be changed when the draft starts.
- I will post all of the keepers that weekend so everyone will have a week to prepare for the draft knowing who is unavailable in the draft pool.
