Using our rules for our money leagues, we came up with a strength-of-schedule ranking for the wide receiver position. We used our fantasy defenses report to calculate the rankings. This report can be found in all of our leagues under the “Reports” heading. We took each team’s schedule and entered the average number of fantasy points allowed to wide receivers last season by all of their opponents to get our fantasy points allowed number. This is a good indication of the wide receivers with the most favorable schedules for fantasy scoring for the coming season.

Defenses obviously change from year to year, but knowing which wide receivers might have the easiest schedules for fantasy is always a good idea when formulating your rankings and draft strategy.

RANK TEAM  AVG. OPP FANTASY PPG ALLOWED
1. Raiders 28.87
2. Bears 29.45
3. Jets 29.55
4. Dolphins 29.8
5. Chargers 29.85
6. Chiefs 29.86
7. Steelers 29.97
8. Broncos 30.01
9. Patriots 30.01
10. Lions 30.1
11. 49ers 30.2
12. Bills 30.23
13. Panthers 30.24
14. Rams 30.33
15. Packers 30.51
16. Falcons 30.67
17. Ravens 30.7
18. Cardinals 30.92
19. Seahawks 31.03
20. Buccaneers 31.07
21. Colts 31.1
22. Commanders 31.13
23. Cowboys 31.2
24. Saints 31.22
25. Bengals 31.89
26. Vikings 31.9
27. Giants 31.96
28. Browns 31.97
29. Jaguars 32.04
30. Titans 32.26
31. Texans 32.32
32. Eagles 33.15

The Eagles have the most favorable fantasy schedule for receivers this coming season. There are some question marks surrounding that unit, but DeVonta Smith and Makai Lemon are the likely top two options for the team. Both have intriguing fantasy value for the coming season even without the favorable schedule, so both could be worth taking a chance on for fantasy teams. The potential for a big season is there because of opportunity, a favorable schedule, and a new offensive coordinator.

Nico Collins is already a solid fantasy option, but the second-easiest schedule for fantasy receivers makes him even more attractive on draft day. Collins dealt with some injury issues last year but produced big numbers when on the field. The Texans also have Jayden Higgins and Tank Dell to consider on draft day. Both have the potential for some huge games in this offense.

The Titans, Jaguars, and Browns round out the top five most favorable schedules for receivers. Tennessee is especially intriguing after adding Carnell Tate and Wan’Dale Robinson to the passing game in addition to having Brian Daboll calling plays. This passing game could be much improved this year as long as Cam Ward takes a step forward. Both of their top receivers have the potential for really good seasons.

Jacksonville took a big step forward offensively last year, and it could be more of the same this season because of this schedule. Jakobi Meyers is likely the top target and could have a career year in his first full season in Jacksonville. Don’t discount Brian Thomas Jr. for a turnaround after a disappointing season last year, either. Parker Washington also has value after performing well out of the slot. He posted strong numbers last year and could be a more consistent factor from Day 1 this season.

The Browns have some interesting rookie receivers to consider on draft day, but questions at quarterback make them risky despite the favorable receiver schedule. You might want to take a late-round shot on either KC Concepcion or Denzel Boston, but neither is a sure thing.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Raiders have the most challenging schedule for receivers. This is not ideal for a unit that already has plenty of question marks. You might want to steer clear of all Raiders receivers at this point. It could be a difficult season for that group.

The Bears also have a very tough schedule for receivers, ranking second overall. Luther Burden is an expected breakout candidate for Chicago. We wouldn’t completely discount him because of this schedule, though. The Bears are still going to throw the ball plenty in this offense, and Burden can still produce big numbers in Year 2. Maybe just temper expectations a bit.

The Jets, Dolphins, and Chargers round out the top five most difficult schedules for receivers. Both the Jets and Dolphins are teams with concerns in the passing game. Garrett Wilson might be the only player from either team worth targeting on draft day. A lot depends on draft cost, but if you can’t get Jets or Dolphins receivers at a good value, it might be wise to look elsewhere.

The Chargers are looking better offensively this year with Mike McDaniels calling plays, but a difficult receiver schedule could slow them down somewhat. The Chargers also play in a division with some elite cornerbacks. Even with that said, we wouldn’t downgrade Ladd McConkey or Quentin Johnston too much because of this. Both should still get plenty of opportunities in what should be an improved passing attack.

We also wanted to look at playoff schedules for fantasy wide receivers. So we crunched the numbers for all schedules from Weeks 15-17, which is the fantasy playoff period for most leagues. We know you have to get to the playoffs first, but knowing which wide receivers have the easiest playoff schedules certainly doesn’t hurt, especially in the big-money contests.

RANK TEAM  AVG. OPP FANTASY PPG ALLOWED
1. Jets 27.11
2. 49ers 27.25
3. Dolphins 28.15
4. Seahawks 28.43
5. Eagles 28.55
6. Patriots 28.77
7. Chiefs 29.11
8. Broncos 29.3
9. Texans 29.46
10. Commanders 29.58
11. Panthers 29.61
12. Colts 29.65
13. Ravens 29.78
14. Lions 30.22
15. Chargers 30.5
16. Packers 30.52
17. Raiders 30.56
18. Bills 30.56
19. Bears 30.93
20. Buccaneers 30.95
21. Cardinals 31.05
22. Saints 31.2
23. Falcons 31.58
24. Cowboys 31.63
25. Rams 32.35
26. Steelers 33.07
27. Bengals 33.46
28. Vikings 34.06
29. Jaguars 34.14
30. Giants 34.14
31. Browns 34.82
32. Titans 35.45

The Titans, Browns, and Jaguars are three teams that make both lists for favorable receiver schedules. Players like Tate, Robinson, Meyers, and Concepcion look even better because of this. We are already high on Tate this year, and seeing the favorable schedules makes us even more excited. He really could be a difference-maker for fantasy teams.

The Giants and Vikings also make the top five most favorable playoff schedules for receivers. Malik Nabers is returning from a major injury, but by the time the playoffs arrive, he could really be hitting his stride. Nabers could end up being one of the biggest fantasy playoff performers.

Justin Jefferson had a season to forget last year, but he gets a new quarterback throwing him passes in Kyler Murray along with a really favorable playoff schedule. Jefferson is looking like a strong bounce-back candidate for 2026.

The Jets and Dolphins make both lists for the most difficult fantasy receiver schedules. As mentioned earlier, both teams already have concerns, so taking a chance on any of these receivers not named Garrett Wilson might be a poor decision.

The 49ers, Seahawks, and Eagles also have top-five difficult playoff schedules. It is interesting to see the Eagles make this list because they have the easiest overall receiver schedule during the regular season. That is at least a little concerning because scoring a ton during the regular season doesn’t help much if you come up short during the fantasy playoffs.

San Francisco and Seattle both have elite passing games and talented receiver options, so don’t get too worked up over their difficult playoff schedules. Jaxon Smith-Njigba should be just fine, and we still like Ricky Pearsall as a possible breakout candidate, barring injury.

Bender's Last Minute Starts/Sits: Week 4

Player Notes
Jaylen Wright Oct 5 12:30am ET
Jaylen Wright

Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright rushed for seven yards on five carries during Sunday's Week 4 loss against the Minnesota Vikings, and he wasn't targeted in the passing game. Entering this week, it seemed like there was a chance Wright could take on a larger role after De'Von Achane (knee) was ruled out for the season. If that was the case, he wasted the opportunity by averaging just 1.4 yards per carry. Meanwhile, teammate Ollie Gordon II exploded for nine carries, 100 rushing yards, and one touchdown (plus two catches), proving that he deserves to be the featured ball-carrier going forward. There may still be some weeks going forward where Wright plays better than Gordon or even logs a couple more touches, but Week 4 showed that Gordon is the running back to roster after Achane's injury. Wright will rank outside the top 36 running backs heading into Week 5 against Cincinnati.

Jaylen Wright Oct 5 12:13am ET
Jaylen Wright

Dynasty | Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon had 100 rushing yards, two catches and one touchdown in Miami's loss to Minnesota. Dynasty Analysis: Gordon had 100 of Miami's 198 total yards on the day. Meanwhile, Jaylen Wright posted just seven yards on five carries. Gordon only had 11 touches on the day but he clearly looks poised to lead this backfield moving forward. While expectations need to be tempered, this is a good first step for Gordon in establishing himself as a reliable NFL running back. He'll be on the RB2/flex line next week.

Chris Bell Oct 5 12:13am ET
Chris Bell

Dynasty | Dolphins receiver Chris Bell was held without a catch in the Dolphins loss to the Vikings. Dynasty Analysis: It's not as bad as it seems as Bell had a 68-yard touchdown called back because he had stepped out of bounds prior to catching the long pass. The Dolphins offense is a mess and Bell is going to have a hard time carving out meaningful fantasy weeks moving forward. He remains a solid stash but likely one to keep on dynasty benches until we see something revolving an NFL offense coming from South Beach.

Parker Washington Oct 5 12:13am ET
Parker Washington

Dynasty | Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington had one catch for seven yards and added three rushing yards in a win against Cincinnati. Dynasty Analysis: Washington was peppered the first two weeks but the Jaguars have tried to get everyone else involved the past two weeks and his fantasy performance has suffered. This is likely going to be one of his worst games of the year but also reminds everyone he's not quite on the WR1 line yet.

Zay Flowers Oct 4 11:10pm ET
Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers looked unstoppable on the field during Sunday's contest versus the Tennessee Titans. Flowers has been dealing with a hamstring issue, but it didn't appear to impact his performance this weekend. Flowers hauled in eight of his 10 targets for 118 yards and a touchdown in the win. He led the team in receptions, targets, and receiving yards during Sunday's game. When healthy, Flowers is a stud, but his value could take a hit with quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) going down in the first half. Jackson was seen in a walking boot following the game, but the team hasn't given much more information yet. Flowers would see his value take a hit if Tyler Huntley is under center during next week's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Tyquan Thornton Oct 4 11:10pm ET
Tyquan Thornton

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (ankle) suffered a dislocated ankle during Sunday's Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Thornton hauled in a deep pass, and the initial celebration quickly turned to extreme concern once the severity of his injury became evident. He was quickly taken to the hospital, where doctors fixed his dislocated ankle and gave him permission to fly back to Kansas City with the team. It was encouraging to see the quick turnaround to get him back in Kansas City, but it won't mean much this year. After all, the ankle injury is most likely going to be season-ending. Between the injuries to Thornton and Rashee Rice (hamstring), Kansas City's receiver room is suddenly shorthanded and may look to bolster the position group via free agency or trade.

Malik Nabers Oct 4 11:00pm ET
Malik Nabers

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers put together his best game of the season during Sunday's contest against the Arizona Cardinals. Nabers appears to be finally building some chemistry with quarterback Jameis Winston. The third-year wideout hauled in six of his seven targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in the win. The touchdown came on a 25-yard pass in the second quarter. The expectation was that Nabers would see his value decrease with Jaxson Dart (knee) done for the year. The 23-year-old might be okay with Winston tossing him deep balls. Nabers will have big-play upside against a shaky Washington Commanders defense in Week 5.

David Montgomery Oct 4 10:50pm ET
David Montgomery

Houston Texans running back David Montgomery rushed for just 24 yards on 10 carries during Sunday's Week 4 loss against the Dallas Cowboys. He was also credited with 19 receiving yards (but not a reception) on a hook-and-ladder play. The veteran running back's Week 1 performance, in which he scored three touchdowns, seems to be an anomaly. He hasn't scored a touchdown since then, nor has he posted double-digit fantasy points. The worst part of Montgomery's fantasy profile is his extreme inefficiency, as he has averaged just 2.8 yards per carry this season. Week 4 was particularly bad for Montgomery, who averaged just 2.4 yards per carry against Dallas and has averaged 3.0 or fewer yards per carry in every game this year. As long as the Texans' offense continues to underperform and Woody Marks vultures carries, Montgomery belongs outside the top-36 running back tier for fantasy football.

Emanuel Wilson Oct 4 10:40pm ET
Emanuel Wilson

Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson totaled 21 carries, 81 rushing yards, three catches, 39 receiving yards, and two touchdowns during Sunday's Week 4 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Wilson stepped up as the Seahawks' every-down back after Jadarian Price (chest) was placed on injured reserve. He has now logged 20+ carries in two of his last three games, and he has proven to be very capable of handling a large workload. It will be interesting to see how this backfield shakes out going forward. On one hand, we have no doubt that Wilson could lead the way and rank as a fringe RB2 in fantasy football. On the other hand, the Seahawks have been linked to free agent running back Joe Mixon as a potential Price replacement, and projected No. 1 running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) is eligible to return from injured reserve as early as this upcoming week. Wilson has some short-term appeal in redraft leagues, but his floor will drop pretty quickly once Charbonnet returns to action.

Tank Bigsby Oct 4 10:40pm ET
Tank Bigsby

Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby (undisclosed) left Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams with only a few minutes left in the fourth quarter, per Ashlyn Sullivan. It's unclear what is going on with Bigsby, but he walked to the locker room under his own power with three minutes left in the game. This is never good to hear, especially with running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) leaving early during this game. Bigsby carried the ball 14 times for 55 yards in the loss to the Rams. Will Shipley could be looking at an expanded role if Barkley or Bigsby are unable to play in Week 5.

From RotoBaller

Christian Watson Oct 4 10:40pm ET
Christian Watson

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson had a relatively quiet performance during Sunday's Week 4 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Watson finished the victory with a very modest three catches for 47 yards. The 27-year-old posted new season-low marks in targets, catches, and yards, and this was also his first game of 2026 without a touchdown. He actually led the Packers in receiving yards, but he had fewer catches than tight end Tucker Kraft and running back MarShawn Lloyd. He was also out-produced by fellow wide receiver Matthew Golden, who caught three of seven targets for 21 yards and a touchdown. We don't expect Watson to post too many more duds like this one, but that doesn't eliminate the fact that this was an incredibly disappointing result for fantasy managers. Fortunately, he has the capability to bounce back as a high-end WR2 or low-end WR1 against the Chicago Bears in next week's divisional battle.

From RotoBaller

Carnell Tate Oct 4 10:31pm ET
Carnell Tate

Dynasty | Titans rookie receiver Carnell Tate caught nine passes on 12 targets for 145 yards in the Titans loss to Baltimore. Dynasty Analysis: Tate had seven more targets than any other Titans receiver and his 145 yards represented most of the 222 posted by Cam Ward. It's clear Tate has established himself as the WR1 and best option in a weak passing game for Tennessee. While his ceiling is capped playing in an offense among one of the worst in football, we've seen some real positive signs from Ward the past few weeks and his rookie ranking will continue to be stable moving forward.

Darius Cooper Oct 4 10:30pm ET
Darius Cooper

Dynasty | Eagles receiver Darius Cooper had three catches for 33 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to the Rams. Dynasty Analysis: The Eagles really blew the game but it's hard to fault Cooper, who stepped up to lead the team in targets with seven and found the end zone twice. While he certainly took advantage of the absence of DeVonta Smith today, this shows what dynasty managers have honestly waited for over the past two years as Cooper has constantly been a super sleeper in dynasty leagues. We'll see if he can keep it up moving forward but this effort should at least make him roster worthy in dynasty leagues moving forward.

D'Andre Swift Oct 4 10:30pm ET
D'Andre Swift

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift rushed for 58 yards on 15 carries during Sunday's Week 4 win over the New York Jets. He also caught two passes for 16 receiving yards. Swift averaged fewer than four yards per carry, and he also fumbled the ball away for the second time in the last three weeks. Not only did the veteran have a suboptimal day, but his teammate, Kyle Monangai, was absolutely explosive. Monangai had one of the best games of his young career, carrying the ball 30 times for 146 rushing yards and two touchdowns. For Swift's fantasy managers, seeing his inefficiency, his fumble, and his teammate's career performance was a nightmare combination. This Chicago offense loves to run the football, so it's not as if Swift has lost his fantasy relevance forever. However, he entered this week as a top-eight running back in total scoring, and he'll leave this week as a low-end RB2 or high-end RB3 going forward. The good news for Swift is that he gets a softer matchup next week against the Packers.

From RotoBaller

Kenyon Sadiq Oct 4 10:30pm ET
Kenyon Sadiq

New York Jets tight end Kenyon Sadiq was unable to carry his momentum from Week 3 into this weekend. The rookie tight end was held without a catch on four targets during the loss to the Chicago Bears. He was dealing with a back issue coming into this game, so that might've been part of the reason. The Jets only possessed the ball for 17 minutes in this game, so they didn't have a ton of time to do anything on offense. Sadiq tied wide receiver Garrett Wilson for the team lead in targets with four. This game was a dud, but overall, Sadiq has been a decent asset early on. He should be considered a low-end TE1 for the Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

From RotoBaller

Joe Burrow Oct 4 10:20pm ET
Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was impressive through the air on Sunday. Burrow completed 39-of-54 passing attempts for 428 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Burrow also rushed the ball three times for six yards and an additional score. It's almost more impressive that Burrow posted these numbers with Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) not playing in the second half. Burrow did everything he could, with six different players having at least three receptions during this game. Sadly, both Chase and Tee Higgins (adductor) left the game, and Burrow wasn't able to make a comeback. Fantasy managers should consider Burrow an elite fantasy option for the Week 5 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

From RotoBaller

Ollie Gordon II Oct 4 10:10pm ET
Ollie Gordon II

Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II led his team in rushing with nine carries for 100 yards, averaging an impressive 11.1 yards per carry, and a touchdown in a 15-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Gordon's day included a 53-yard rush in the early third quarter. He also had two receptions for zero yards. Gordon played 22 out of 39 offensive snaps (56.4%), compared to fellow tailback Jaylen Wright's 12 snaps (30.77%). Wright, who returned to the lineup after missing Week 3 with a stinger and foot injury rushed five times for just seven yards (1.4 yards per carry) and did not see a target in the passing game. With starting running back De'Von Achane out for the season and on injured reserve due to a torn ACL injury, Gordon and Wright were thrust into larger roles. For Week 4, Gordon earned more snaps and was much more productive than Wright. Gordon will look to continue to ascend in a Week 5 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Tyreek Hill Oct 4 10:00pm ET
Tyreek Hill

Kansas City Chiefs players such as quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce are "all for" a reunion with free agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill, per Michael Silver of The Athletic. Hill is currently working his way back from a major knee injury, and Silver reports that Hill is targeting a November return. The Chiefs lost downfield wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (leg) to a gruesome lower-leg injury during their Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Once healthy, Hill could help replace the big-play ability of Thornton. The 32-year-old should not be expected to provide the elite production he once did during his first stint with the Chiefs from 2016-2021. Still, Hill remained an impact player in his most recent fully healthy season, recording 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns on 123 targets across 17 games with the Miami Dolphins in 2024. Fantasy managers with a bench spot to burn may want to consider adding Hill off the waiver wire.

From RotoBaller

Keon Coleman Oct 4 9:50pm ET
Keon Coleman

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman had one of the better games of his career in his team's Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots, recording six catches for 116 yards and a touchdown on seven targets. Coleman saw his usage spike after Bills WR1 DJ Moore (shoulder) was forced to leave the game with a shoulder injury. It's the second time in four games this season that Moore has had to leave a game early due to his shoulder. In those games, Coleman has recorded 12 catches for 179 yards and a score on 13 targets. In Buffalo's other two contests, Coleman has logged just two receptions for 38 yards on three targets. If Moore is forced to miss time going forward, Coleman profiles as a must-add waiver wire target for fantasy managers.

CeeDee Lamb Oct 4 9:50pm ET
CeeDee Lamb

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb erupted in a 34-30 Week 4 win over the Houston Texans, recording 17 receptions (on 21 targets) for 189 yards (11.1 yards per reception) and a touchdown. Lamb's 12-yard, go-ahead touchdown with 40 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner for the Cowboys. The targets, receptions and yardage were all season-highs in 2026 for Lamb. No other Dallas receiver saw more than five targets, as Lamb reminded everybody why he is still considered a high-end WR1 in fantasy football. He will look to continue the momentum in a Week 5 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
