Point totals should be tie breakers in the event that teams have the same record, and that’s it. Otherwise why are we even divided into groups, why do we even go head to head?
Some of sports is the luck of the draw and the schedule, sometimes the NLCS is the real World Series, that’s just how it goes.
Conspiracy theory: In this Age of Obstructionism, a few rednecks at RT Sports are manipulating things for their own benefit. They’re laying out the divisions in a favorable way, maybe even tweaking the stats and scores. I’m disappointed by this, no offense to anyone in particular.

There are sites that alow daily changes. I personally wouldn't want to due daily changes to much time. I agree it frustrating teams don't want to give out injury news on Monday if they don't play until Tuesday. Many times have had players put on dl right after early games started now am stuck starting dl guy because early game guys are locked out. I suggested rtsports a hybrid allow one change a week or Friday can change lineup before each player starts game.
Did Bruce Bochy put his line-up for today’s game in last week? Of course not, that would be ridiculous. He put the line-up in today, right before the game started. So-and-so is feeling some soreness in his oblique, so-and-so’s wife had a baby, so-and-so gets the spot start because he can hit lefties.
