Tony Pollard Oct 28 11:30am ET
    Tony Pollard

Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard remains a solid option in Week 8 fantasy lineups. Pollard is clearly the second running back in Dallas behind starter Ezekiel Elliott, but nevertheless, he has now seen double-digit carries in five games in a row and ranks as the RB26 in standard scoring half PPR leagues. All of that despite scoring only one touchdown so far this season. Pollard has league-winning upside if Elliott goes down, but even on his own, he's developed low-end RB2 value in deep leagues.

    From RotoBaller

CeeDee Lamb Oct 28 11:30am ET
    CeeDee Lamb

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will look to stay hot in the Cowboys Week 8 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Lamb went into the Cowboys bye week by putting up a 9-142-2 line and ending up as the overall WR1 in most scoring formats. He had a little bit of a dip in production in Weeks 3 and 4, but has been at worst a WR2 every other week of the season. The Vikings are a tough matchup for opposing passing games, but Lamb is on the brink of being matchup proof and needs to be started in all formats.

    From RotoBaller

Justin Fields Oct 28 11:30am ET
    Justin Fields

Chicago Bears first-round rookie quarterback Justin Fields, who was drafted 11th overall, has the lowest passer rating (61.8) of any current starter heading into Week 8. He's also been sacked a league-high 22 times, has thrown six interceptions to two touchdowns and is completing just 57.3% of his 131 pass attempts. Chicago's shoddy offensive line play hasn't helped the rookie's cause in his first year, and the Bears are trying to run the football as much as they can to take pressure off of Fields. We don't expect Fields to suddenly light things up this weekend against a strong San Francisco 49ers defense, making him only an option in leagues where you can start two signal-callers.

    From RotoBaller

Ezekiel Elliott Oct 28 11:20am ET
    Ezekiel Elliott

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will look for another 100-yard game in Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings. The Cowboys are coming off their bye week, but Elliott has a streak of four consecutive games with 100 or more yards from scrimmage. He only ran for 69 yards in Week 6, his lowest total since Week 1, but he set season highs in catches (seven) and receiving yards (50) to make up for it. The Vikings defense has been able to shut down opposing passing games but hasn't been great against the run. This could be a game where the Cowboys rely on Elliott and the running game. He's an easy RB1 with huge upside.

    From RotoBaller

Mark Ingram Oct 28 11:20am ET
    Mark Ingram

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said there's "absolutely" a "high chance" that running back Mark Ingram II will make his season debut for the Saints in Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the team acquired him from the Houston Texans on Wednesday. Ingram is expected to join the team at practice on Friday. The veteran will return to New Orleans and serve as Alvin Kamara's backup while Tony Jones Jr. (ankle) remains on Injured Reserve. Ingram could see short-yardage and goal-line work in an offense he's extremely familiar with, but he won't have much more fantasy value than he did in a committee approach in Houston and will be more of a touchdown-dependent RB4/flex in much deeper leagues. Ingram will bring more real-life value to the Saints.

    From RotoBaller

Geno Smith Oct 28 11:10am ET
    Geno Smith

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith has struggled in his first two starts, but he has a chance to show some real value in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, especially on the defensive side of the ball. They've given up at least 20 points in every game, and they've generated just two total turnovers this year. Smith and the Seahawks offense have been rather conservative, due in large part to terrible matchups. However, the Jaguars don't have the defense to slow down this offense. Smith still lacks the top-end ceiling that other players at his position do, but he does have some low-end QB2 appeal in superflex leagues this week.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Lockett Oct 28 11:10am ET
    Tyler Lockett

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has struggled mightily with quarterback Geno Smith under center, but he could bounce back in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have given up 289 or more passing yards in all but one game this season, with the lone exception being the Tennessee Titans, who dominated Jacksonville in the running game. Lockett remains a top-two target in the Seattle passing offense, and he's still a big-play threat waiting to happen. Seattle desperately needs a win to keep their playoff hopes alive until quarterback Russell Wilson (finger) returns from injury, and Lockett can be a big part of that this week. He'll be a boom/bust WR3/flex for fantasy managers.

    From RotoBaller

    D.K. Metcalf Oct 28 11:10am ET
    D.K. Metcalf

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf struggled due to the rain last week, but he has a chance for a big fantasy outing in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Metcalf leads the team in targets since quarterback Geno Smith took over the starting duties when quarterback Russell Wilson (finger) went down with an injury. He also scored the team's lone touchdown last week thanks to his big-play ability on a long reception in the first quarter. The Jaguars have given up 289 or more yards in all but one game this season, and they don't generate many turnovers. With the Seattle running backs banged up, Metcalf should see a sizable workload and put together a strong week. There's more volatility with him as long as Smith is under center, but Metcalf should at least be a WR2 play this week.

    From RotoBaller

Jason Myers Oct 28 11:10am ET
    Jason Myers

Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers was one of the safest fantasy options a season ago, but he no longer has that status heading into Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Myers is just 6-for-10 on field goals this year, and he's 24-for-29 on kicking opportunities overall. He has yet to hit double-digit fantasy points in a single game this season, and the offense is struggling with quarterback Geno Smith under center. There are only two kickers on byes this week, and this game is projected to be one of the lower-scoring games on the slate. Even if you have one of those kickers that's out of commission for the week, Myers shouldn't be your top replacement option.

    From RotoBaller

Dak Prescott Oct 28 11:10am ET
    Dak Prescott

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is a strong fantasy option like always in a Week 8 Sunday Night Football matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Prescott and the Cowboys are coming off their bye week, but the last time he was on the field, Dak threw for 445 yards and three touchdowns. He's been a fantasy QB1 for three weeks in a row and in four of the six games the Cowboys have played so far. Minnesota's defense could be a challenge, but the Cowboys have proven that they have an elite offense which is becoming mostly matchup proof. Prescott is a mid-range QB1 this week with top-tier upside.

    From RotoBaller

Matthew Stafford Oct 28 11:00am ET
    Matthew Stafford

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is the QB6 after seven weeks, and he has a great matchup to slide further up the rankings in Week 8 against the Houston Texans. Stafford has thrown for two or more touchdowns in six out of seven games this year, and he's thrown for at least 250 yards in every single game. The Texans are giving up an average of 260 yards per game through the air to opposing quarterbacks. They've only given up 12 passing touchdowns, and the main reason that number isn't higher is because teams often are running on them when they get out to a big lead. Stafford may not have the same elevated ceiling in a game where the Rams figure to be leading for much of the game, but he's still a smart play for this week.

    From RotoBaller

Darrell Henderson Oct 28 11:00am ET
    Darrell Henderson

Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. looked as though he was heading towards a possible running back committee earlier in the season, but it's clear heading into a great matchup in Week 8 against the Houston Texans that this backfield belongs all to him. Henderson has played at least 60 percent of the offensive snaps in every game he's been active this season, and he's dominating the touches over backup Sony Michel. The Texans have given up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs thanks in large part to their eight total touchdowns allowed. Henderson has clear RB1 upside in a great matchup this Sunday.

    From RotoBaller

Cooper Kupp Oct 28 11:00am ET
    Cooper Kupp

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is en route to a WR1 overall campaign this season, and that battle continues in Week 8 against the Houston Texans. The Texans have no defender that is capable of matching up with Kupp on an every-down basis. Kupp is firmly the WR1 in the Rams offense. He's seen double-digit targets in every game this season, and he's had at least 64 receiving yards in every game. Kupp has also scored in five out of seven games this year thanks in large part to his 31 percent target share in the red zone. Kupp should be locked into your lineups this week, as always.

    From RotoBaller

Robert Woods Oct 28 11:00am ET
    Robert Woods

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods has shown some life in recent weeks, but he still lacks the high-end ceiling heading into Week 8 against the Houston Texans. Woods has recorded at least 30 yards in every game since Week 2, and he's maintained a 21 percent target share in the red zone this season. With targets going to a number of other weapons, Woods doesn't have the pure high ceiling that we're used to seeing from him, but he's still a safe flex option, at worst, this week against Houston.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Higbee Oct 28 11:00am ET
    Tyler Higbee

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee has maintained a consistent role in the team's offense this season, and he could have some sneaky upside in Week 8 against the Houston Texans. Higbee is second on the team in red-zone target share at just over 25 percent, and he's the lone tight end on the team getting any involvement in the receiving game. This week he gets the Texans, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season thanks in large part to the six touchdowns they've given up to the position. The tight end position doesn't require a ton of yards for fantasy to be relevant, so if Higbee just finds his way into the end zone, he could return a lot of value this week.

    From RotoBaller

Mark Ingram Oct 28 10:43am ET
    Mark Ingram

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram is likely to play in Week 8, according to head coach Sean Payton. Payton also said RB Alvin Kamara approached the team about acquiring Ingram after it was already in the works.

Fantasy Spin: Don't expect too much from Ingram this week, but he could mold into a flex candidate as the team looks to keep Kamara fresh in the middle part of the season.

    From TheHuddle

Mike Williams Oct 28 9:10am ET
    Mike Williams

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He was a game-time decision and ended up suiting up in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. The Chargers wide receiver caught two of his five targets for 27 yards in a Week 6 blowout loss versus the Ravens. He was on the sidelines most of the fourth quarter, but reportedly it was a precaution due to the game's blowout nature. Williams had the bye in Week 7 to rest his knee and appears fully recovered after logging a full practice on Wednesday. The 27-year-old is having a break-out season in 2021, hauling in 33-of-56 targets for 498 yards and six touchdowns over six games. Williams is a borderline WR1 against the New England Patriots in Week 8.

    From RotoBaller

Josh Allen Oct 28 8:53am ET
    Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen has combined to go 59-for-93 for 820 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions against the Miami Dolphins in three games the last two years.

Fantasy Spin: Allen is seventh in fantasy points at the position, but he has one fewer game than the top six. He's a no-brainer this week as a QB1.

    From TheHuddle

DeVante Parker Oct 28 8:43am ET
    DeVante Parker

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder, hamstring) has good recent history against the Buffalo Bills if he's able to return in Week 8. Over the last three games, spanning this season and last, Parker has 17 catches for 211 yards and a touchdown against the Bills.

Fantasy Spin: Parker would be a high-end WR3 if he can make it back this week.

    From TheHuddle

Matt Ryan Oct 28 8:43am ET
    Matt Ryan

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan did not throw a touchdown in two games against the Carolina Panthers last year. He was 42-for-67 for 507 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.

Fantasy Spin: Ryan is 20th in fantasy points at the position, and his time as a starter in fantasy has passed. He's only an option in two-QB leagues, and you should look elsewhere if you're covering a bye.
