Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon had the charge of aggravated menacing dismissed by a judge in Hamilton County court Friday, Feb. 3. The prosecutor asked for a dismissal to allow for further investigation. The prosecutor also noted that the charge could be refiled in the future.

Fantasy Spin: In short, Mixon is temporarily out of hot water pending further investigation, although that could change if further investigation supports the victim's allegations. Mixon was accused of pointing a gun at a woman in downtown Cincinnati last month and threatening to shoot her. From strictly a fantasy perspective, Mixon's dynasty value is in the tank as a soon-to-be 27-year-old back that appeared to decline on the field last year and may now have a serious off-field matter hanging over him.

Feb 2 9:20pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon will have his aggravated menacing charge dropped on Friday morning. Mixon's attorney, Peter Schafer, stated, "it was a rush to judgment," although it's unknown why the charges are being dropped. The former Sooner allegedly pointed a gun at another person on January 21. While Mixon won't face criminal charges, a civil suit, among other things, is still a possibility, so he isn't out of the woods just yet. The 26-year-old ran for 814 yards off 210 carries while amassing 60 catches for 441 yards. He also totaled nine touchdowns, seven few than the 2021-22 campaign. There will likely be more on this story, so it's too early to tell how this will impact Mixon's fantasy stock.

Feb 2 7:10pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon is wanted on aggravated menacing charges. The 26-year-old is accused of pointing a gun at a woman in downtown Cincinnati. He allegedly threatened to shoot her. This is an extremely serious situation that could cost Mixon his job. The superstar back has already been in trouble before when he punched a woman in college. There should be more information on this story as it develops.

Jan 29 11:00pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon was a non-factor in Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The former sooner carried the ball only eight times, three more than Samaje Perine, and totaled just 19 yards while adding three catches for 15 yards. Mixon looked fantastic in the win over the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round. However, he didn't get anything going in the AFC Championship, ceding carries and a touchdown to Perine. Mixon finished the regular season with 210 carries for 814 yards. He also combined for nine touchdowns, seven less than the 2021-22 campaign. As a result, the 26-year-old will be hard to trust heading into next season, especially if Perine remains on the team. But even if Perine doesn't stay in Cincy, Mixon's fantasy stock may plummet throughout the offseason.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon rushed eight times for just 19 yards in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and he added three receptions for 15 yards on his three targets.

From TheHuddle

Jan 28 3:30pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon began his postseason by amassing just 39 yards off 11 carries in the wild-card matchup with the Ravens. However, he turned things around in the divisional round on a snowy day in Buffalo, logging 20 touches for 105 yards and a touchdown. The former Sooner will look to keep his momentum going during an AFC Championship rematch versus the Chiefs. Mixon has faced off with the Chiefs three times in his career, averaging 61.3 rushing yards and 22.7 receiving yards. Unfortunately, he didn't find the end zone in any of those games. Nevertheless, DFS managers shouldn't expect Mixon to have the same type of performance he had against the Bills. But there's no denying his upside is extremely high, so he's worth considering in DFS contests on Sunday.

Jan 22 7:20pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon finished with 105 yards and a touchdown off 20 attempts during Sunday's postseason win over the Buffalo Bills. He also had two catches for 18 yards. The former Sooner hasn't gone for over 100 yards on the ground since his his five-touchdown performance against the Panthers in early November. However, on a snowy day in Buffalo, Mixon got the job done to help his team advance to the AFC Championship for the second consecutive season. There's a good chance Mixon won't be as efficient as a runner in that one. Yet, he should remain involved as a pass-catcher, so fantasy managers need to keep him on the radar.

Cincinnati's RB Joe Mixon ran for 105 yards on 20 carries with one touchdown in Sunday's win in Buffalo.

Jan 20 11:00pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon had another underwhelming performance in the wild-card win over the Ravens. He finished that one with only 39 yards off 11 attempts while adding three receptions for 17 yards. However, considering Mixon's struggles on the ground this season, his lack of production against Baltimore wasn't a surprise. With a meeting with Buffalo on the horizon, fantasy managers shouldn't expect the former Sooner to turn things around, especially since the Bills defense has done a fantastic job slowing down opposing running backs. Nonetheless, although adding Mixon to any DFS lineup is certainly risky, it's hard to ignore his upside.

From RotoBaller

Jan 16 11:30am ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon rushed 11 times for 39 yards and caught three of his four targets for 17 yards in the 24-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals will now advance to the AFC Divisional round to face the Buffalo Bills, in what should be a shootout. However, Buffalo was one of the fiercest defenses against fantasy running backs, so he could have a touchdown-or-bust DFS outlook. Even so, he has one of the highest ceilings among running backs remaining in the playoffs.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon carried the ball 11 times for 39 yards against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Jan. 15. He added three receptions (on four targets) for 17 yards.

From TheHuddle

Jan 14 3:00am ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon completed the 2022-23 campaign with nine total touchdowns, seven fewer than he had last season. Even worse, he fell short of reaching the 1,000-yard rushing mark. In all fairness, the former Sooner did miss a few games. However, fantasy managers were certainly disappointed with Mixon's lack of production. With the Ravens on tap for Sunday's wild-card showdown, he'll need to be more productive than when these clubs met in Week 18. Mixon finished that one with only 27 yards off 11 touches. Yet, he at least scored a touchdown while amassing five catches for 41 yards, so his performance wasn't a complete disaster. That said, Mixon has an extremely high ceiling, much higher than other running backs throughout the National Football League. At the same time, the 26-year-old remains a risky fantasy option, especially in non-PPR setups.

Jan 8 7:30pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon had another uneventful performance on the ground in the Week 18 win over Baltimore, amassing 27 yards off 11 touches for a hideous 2.5 yards per carry. Fortunately, he found the end zone, scoring off a one-yard run in the opening quarter, his first rushing touchdown in over two months. As usual, Mixon received some attention from Joe Burrow, pulling all five targets for 41 yards, which helped his overall fantasy total. The 26-year-old ended the 2021-22 campaign with 1,205 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns but took a significant step back this season. However, Mixon remains a top fantasy option, although he'll be better suited for PPR formats come September.

From RotoBaller

Jan 8 5:23pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon rushed 11 times for just 27 yards and a touchdown in Week 18 against the Baltimore Ravens, while adding five receptions for 41 yards on his five targets.

Fantasy Spin: Mixon's stat line was concerning, although he salvaged things with the rushing score and reception total. He could have another difficult day in the AFC wild-card round, as the Bengals face the Ravens again next week. His performance here is worth remembering for postseason fantasy pools and DFS next weekend.

From TheHuddle

Jan 7 3:40pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon hasn't looked the best since amassing five total scores against the Panthers back in early November. Since then, the former Sooner has been held out of the end zone. With the Bengals looking to close out the regular season with a win over the AFC North rival Ravens, Mixon will need to play better than he did when these clubs met in Week 5. He finished that one with 78 yards off 14 carries. Although it was one of Mixon's more productive performances of the 2022-23 campaign, he must do more to help his team secure the win. Nevertheless, his upside is still higher than most, so fantasy managers need to keep him in mind on Sunday.

Dec 31 4:10pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon hasn't looked like the player he was during the 2021-22 campaign. The former Sooner totaled 16 touchdowns last season. However, he has half that heading into Week 17. In all fairness, he did miss time with a concussion. But still, fantasy managers had hoped for more, especially considering Mixon hasn't scored since his massive five-touchdown effort against the Panthers back in Week 9. He's also rushed for over 100 yards just once, which has been just as disappointing. That said, Mixon has been routinely involved as a pass-catcher, so although he'll be more beneficial to PPR participants, he remains a must-start in all formats for Monday's meeting with the Buffalo Bills.

From RotoBaller

Dec 25 1:20pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon rushed for 65 yards off 16 carries in the win over New England. He also had seven catches for 43 yards. Although the former Sooner didn't find the end zone while amassing an underwhelming 4.1 yards per carry, it was still a solid showing, especially for PPR participants. Mixon has run for over 100 yards just once this season. However, his ability to catch passes out of the backfield will keep him relevant for fantasy managers in every format. As a result, he should remain starting against the Bills in Week 17.

From RotoBaller

Dec 24 5:33pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon rushed 16 times for 65 yards in Week 16 against the New England Patriots, while adding seven receptions for 43 yards on nine targets.

From TheHuddle

Dec 24 10:40am ET

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon ran for 21 yards off 11 attempts in last Sunday's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 26-year-old has not found the end zone since erupting for five touchdowns in the Week 9 victory against the Panthers. Mixon will look to rebound versus the New England Patriots on Saturday. He has rushed for 722 yards and six touchdowns while catching 48 passes for 357 yards and two scores over 12 games in 2022. Although that tremendous performance in Week 9 boosts Mixon's numbers, he remains a borderline RB1 in a tough matchup against the Patriots, allowing the second-least fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.
