Dynasty | Free agent Josh Jacobs wants to remain in Las Vegas Dynasty Analysis: The Raiders missed an opportunity to lock up Jacobs as part of a fifth-year option as a previous first-round selection. Instead, Jacobs, with free agency looming, led the league in rushing with 1,653 yards and 2,053 total scrimmage yards. Only 24, the running back said "I feel like I'm in the driver's seat." He most certainly is. He also expressed a desire to not be franchise-tagged by the team, an option which remains a definite possibility. The team has multiple tag options available and application of one of them seems likely to play out. Jacobs was a bit of a dynasty cast-off ahead of the 2022 season and richly rewarded acquiring dynasty coaches taking a value-based leap of faith. With true three-down potential, healthy, and entering his age-25 season, Jacobs is found as DLF's RB8 and should remain a top option for years to come.

Feb 6 12:10pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs, who earned a selection as a first-team All-Pro in 2022, said he'd like to remain with the team. Jacobs played in every game, won the rushing crown with 1,653 yards and led the league with 2,053 scrimmage yards. However, since the team declined his fifth-year option last offseason, he's set to be an unrestricted free agent in March. If Vegas can't come to an agreement with Jacobs on a multi-year contract, they could use the exclusive franchise tag, which is projected to be $16.5 million. Jacobs said he wants to stay in Vegas, but he also made it clear he wouldn't be happy with the franchise tag in 2023. If he's tagged, he could request a trade to a team that would negotiate a contract to his liking. "This is where I want to be," Jacobs said. "I feel like I've left my mark on this organization." Regardless of where he's playing in 2023, Jacobs should be a high-end RB1 in fantasy.

Las Vegas Raiders impending free agent running back Josh Jacobs "wants to be back but won't settle," according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic. There is mutual interest in keeping Jacobs in Las Vegas long-term, but the reigning rushing champion won't come cheap. Jacobs timed everything just right, compiling impressive stats in a contract year. The 24-year-old ultimately finished 2022 with 1,653 rushing yards, 400 receiving yards, and 12 touchdowns, all of which are career-highs. Jacobs' outlook for next season is contingent on where he signs, but if he does return to Vegas, we can consider him a strong RB1 option heading into fantasy football drafts.

Dynasty | Josh Jacobs is a free agent in 2023 Dynasty Analysis: The Raiders declined Jacobs' fifth-year option and he responded with a massive career year, totaling a combined 2,053 yards and 12 touchdowns, setting the stage for a lucrative contract offer from the Raiders, another team or the application of the franchise tag. Entering 2022, Jacobs was a popular sell-high candidate with many dynasty coaches fleeing the three-down-potential back due to incoming coach Josh McDaniels from New England. Jacobs rewarded his acquiring dynasty managers and, at the same time, has set himself up for a big payday and productive second-half of his career just ahead of his 25th birthday. He's listed as DLF's RB10 and is on the rise.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Jan 7 8:30pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had a relatively quiet day for fantasy managers in a tough matchup on Sunday, carrying the ball 17 times for 45 yards, adding two catches for five yards through the air. He finished with less than 10 half-PPR fantasy points for just the second time in his last 10 games. The fourth-year running back will finish the season with 1,653 rushing yards, very likely enough for the NFL's rushing title this year. Jacobs will hope to cash in this offseason as a top free-agent RB after Las Vegas declined his fifth-year option this past April. If Jacobs stays a Raider or takes on a similar role elsewhere, he will be a mid-range RB1 in 2023 fantasy drafts.

Jan 7 3:00pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (hip, personal) did not practice on Thursday or Friday but is officially active for Saturday's contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. Jacobs had been spending time with his father in the hospital this week but flew to Las Vegas on Friday night after his father told him he wanted to see him play. The Raiders have already been eliminated from playoff contention but will hope to end the season on a high note against a division rival. With the 2022-2023 NFL rushing title in his sights, Jacobs should be viewed as an elite fantasy option for his season finale.

Jan 6 1:10am ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs delivered again for fantasy managers in Week 17. Despite failing to top 100 rushing yards, his 21 touches and one rushing TD pushed him into RB1 territory once again. Jacobs has now finished RB10 or better in nine of his last 13 games (half-PPR), averaging 21.6 carries, 108.9 rushing yards, and 0.9 TD per game over that span. The Kansas City Chiefs come to town in Week 18 with a middle-of-the-road defense against opposing fantasy RBs. Jacobs is officially listed as questionable for this matchup after missing the past two practices for personal reasons. Unless the situation changes, expect Jacobs to play on Saturday and lock up the rushing title to cap off a career year. He is a must-start one final time.

Jan 5 6:40pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (hip, oblique) is officially listed as questionable for the Week 18 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The 24-year-old missed two practices this week due to personal reasons. It's also worth noting that Jacobs is a little banged up heading into this game. The Raiders don't have anything to play for in this game, but do expect the NFL's leading rusher to be on the field. The expectation is that he'll have his normal workload on Sunday. He's a must-start fantasy player, assuming he suits up for this game.

Jan 4 8:30am ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (hip/oblique) was estimated as limited in Tuesday's practice. It has been a frequent occurrence for the 24-year-old throughout the season but has not impacted his availability on game day, meaning there is nothing to be concerned about at the moment. The league's rushing leader is coming off an impressive outing against the stout San Francisco defense, racking up 95 total yards and a touchdown. The team will host Kansas City in Week 18, offering Jacobs another chance to finish as a top-12 back.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs delivered for fantasy managers in a tough matchup on Sunday, carrying the ball 17 times for 69 yards and one rushing touchdown. He also hauled in four of five targets for an additional 26 yards through the air. Jacobs has now scored double-digit fantasy points in 12 of his last 14 games in half-PPR scoring. He will look to finish his 2022 season strong against the Kansas City Chiefs at home in Week 18. Jacobs is a locked-and-loaded RB1 in fantasy next week.

Dec 29 7:30pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs enters Week 17 as the RB2 in fantasy football (half-PPR), propelled by 306 carries and 11 rushing touchdowns. His usage as a bell-cow running back this year has made him a top-tier option at the position, including finishing as a top-20 RB in seven of the last eight weeks. Jacobs has an uphill battle this week, though, facing off against a San Francisco 49ers defense that ranks as the toughest matchup for opposing fantasy RBs. With quarterback Jarrett Stidham making his first start under center, expect fewer trips to the red zone for the Raiders offense as well. While volume will continue to be steady for Jacobs, fantasy managers should temper expectations in this matchup. Jacobs is a low-end RB1 in fantasy this week.

Dec 25 6:00pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had a tough time finding room to run during Saturday's Week 16 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He rushed 15 times for 44 yards, while adding one reception for six additional yards through the air. This was the first time in seven weeks that Jacobs has been held to less than 100 yards from scrimmage. It's not going to get easier for him against a tough San Francisco 49ers defense next week. He should be able to carve out low-end RB1 value despite the tough matchup.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 9:30pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs will head on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16. Jacobs has rushed for at least 93 yards in five straight games and has four rushing touchdowns over that span. The Steelers represent a tough matchup for running backs as they are allowing the 12th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position in fantasy and their run defense ranks eighth in the league in DVOA. Jacobs has a tough matchup but he has been too good this season to consider benching. Treat him as a low-end RB1 for Week 16.

Dec 18 9:20pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs may have failed to score for the first time in 4 weeks, but he ended the game with 93 yards on 22 carries and two catches for 17 yards. The 24-year-old remains a big part of this offense and still leads the league in rushing yards. This contest swung the way of the passing game as they aired it out for 211 yards compared to the 97 yards on the ground. Jacobs heads to Pittsburgh for a Week 16 matchup where he's sure to find some holes and be considered an RB1.

Dec 18 2:40pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (quad, hand) is officially active for Week 15 against the New England Patriots. He had been listed as questionable. Jacobs has enjoyed insane production this season, amassing 1,402 rushing yards, 346 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns. Vegas' offense certainly runs through its star running back, and he should continue to be started in 100 percent of leagues this week.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (hand, quadriceps) wasn't able to ditch a questionable tag for the Week 15 game against the New England Patriots on Sunday. It's the fourth straight week that Jacobs has been listed as questionable heading into game day, but he hasn't missed any time yet and is fully expected to play this weekend after practicing on a limited basis all week. The 24-year-old has been excelling despite not being 100 percent healthy, and he enters Week 15 as the RB1 in overall fantasy points in 2022. In the last four games, Jacobs has 581 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 110 rushing attempts, adding 13 catches for 146 additional yards. Keep him locked into your starting lineups as a high-end RB1 against the Patriots.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 7:40pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (hand, quadriceps) remained a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Jacobs picked up a hand injury in last Thursday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams and looked to be in a good deal of pain, but the fact that he hasn't missed any practice time this week suggests he'll be fine to play this weekend against the New England Patriots. The 24-year-old has been questionable going into the last three games, but he's hasn't missed any time, so fantasy managers shouldn't be worried if he picks up another questionable tag on Friday's final injury report. Jacobs has been the most valuable fantasy RB in 2022 and needs to stay in all fantasy starting lineups if he's active against New England.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 12:10pm ET

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs will look to continue his RB1 fantasy season against the New England Patriots in Week 15. The Raiders tried to fully rely on the run in Week 14, leading to Jacobs seeing nearly 30 touches despite being on the injury report. Assuming he is good to go in this one, he should once again see all the work he can handle as a steady workhorse for the Raiders and fantasy managers. Jacobs should continue to dominate even in a tough matchup on paper. Fire him up as a top-5 RB for the fantasy playoffs.

From RotoBaller

Dec 14 7:30pm ET

After suffering a hand injury in last week's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (hand, quadriceps) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Jacobs looked to be in a fair bit of pain after suffering a hand injury last Thursday night, but he played through it and should continue to do so in Week 15 against the New England Patriots. He had 27 carries for 99 yards and a touchdown and added two receptions for 15 yards in the loss to the Rams last week. Jacobs remains the overall RB1 in half-point PPR scoring through 14 weeks of the 2022 season with 11 total touchdowns (all rushing), and he'll remain a must-start RB1 in all fantasy lineups this weekend.
