Player Notes
Nov 17 5:10pm ET

The Kansas City Chiefs placed wide receiver Mecole Hardman (abdomen) on Injured Reserve on Thursday, meaning he'll miss at least the next four games. It's a tough break for Hardman and his fantasy managers, as he had scored five total touchdowns (three receiving, two rushing) in his previous three games before sitting out the Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's still worth stashing in all fantasy formats since he could return and help out in the fantasy playoffs. JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) is in danger of missing Sunday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, so Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) could serve as KC's WR1 alongside All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce. Receivers Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and Skyy Moore will take on bigger roles if Smith-Schuster doesn't clear the concussion protocol.

Nov 17 2:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) and Mecole Hardman (abdomen) will miss another practice on Thursday. Both players have a shot to practice on Friday, but right now they are looking very iffy for Sunday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. And with the game coming late Sunday night, both wideouts will be shaky starting fantasy options if they are game-time decisions. Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) was back at practice on Thursday, and he could be KC's No. 1 receiver in a potential shootout if both Smith-Schuster and Hardman are unable to play. Receivers Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and rookie Skyy Moore would all have elevated roles as well. Check back on Friday for Smith-Schuster's and Hardman's official statuses.

Nov 16 7:40pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (abdomen) was unable to practice on Wednesday. JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) were also held out of practice, so the Chiefs top wideouts are all banged up heading into Sunday night's divisional clash against the Los Angeles Chargers. With that said, Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and rookie Skyy Moore could all have elevated roles in Week 11, depending on who the Chiefs have available. Hardman missed the Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and could be looking at his second straight absence. The 24-year-old was on a roll before his injury, catching 13 of 17 targets for 153 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for two scores in his last three games.

Nov 11 3:30pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (abdomen) has been ruled out for Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hardman missed practice all week due to abdominal soreness, and now he won't play in Week 10 after catching touchdown passes in each of the last three weeks. It's a tough blow for fantasy managers, but he'll obviously need to be moved to benches this weekend. With the 24-year-old out on Sunday, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will benefit from more passing targets, while Kadarius Toney, rookie Skyy Moore and Justin Watson should also play more offensive snaps to pick up the slack.

Nov 10 2:40pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (abdomen) will not practice on Thursday due to abdominal soreness. Hardman also missed practice on Wednesday, so his availability is highly in question for the Week 10 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 24-year-old has scored a touchdown in three straight games, so it would be a frustrating development for fantasy managers if he were unable to play this weekend. Hardman will need to practice on Friday to have a shot at playing on Sunday. If he is unable to get cleared, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and Skyy Moore would all have bigger roles in the passing game.

Nov 9 2:30pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (abdominal) has been dealing with soreness the past few days, according to head coach Andy Reid. It sounds like the fourth-year wide receiver won't practice on Wednesday. The former second-round has played well lately, scoring three receiving touchdowns in the past three games. Furthermore, Hardman added a pair of rushing touchdowns during that span. If the fourth-year wide receiver misses time, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and newly acquired Kadarius Toney will see an uptick in snaps and targets. Hopefully, Hardman can return to practice later this week and play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

From RotoBaller

Nov 7 2:30pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman caught six of his nine targets for 79 yards and a score in Sunday's win over the Titans, while Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who had been his biggest competition for the No. 2 receiver role, and new addition Kadarius Toney combined for just three targets. Hardman now has touchdowns in three consecutive games, and just saw his most targets of the season. He has appeal as a boom/bust WR3 play going forward, though Toney might impact that as he gets phased into the offense.

Oct 25 4:25pm ET

Chiefs' WR Mecole Hardman scored 28.00 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 7 win in San Francisco. Hardman caught four passes for 32 yards with three touchdowns. It's the 1st time this season Hardman scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Oct 23 8:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman found the end zone three times in Sunday's win over the 49ers, with three of those coming in the run game. Hardman finished with two carries for 28 yards and the score aforementioned touchdowns, plus he caught all four of his targets for 32 yards and another score. Hardman now has four touchdowns over the last two games and has seen an increase in his usage, but it's still difficult to figure out what to think of Hardman from a fantasy perspective because his role hasn't been huge, even though he keeps finding pay dirt. The Chiefs have a bye next week.

From RotoBaller

Oct 21 6:40pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman will be tough for fantasy managers to trust heading into Sunday's Week 7 contest against the San Francisco 49ers. Hardman found the end zone last week against the Bills, but he's also had two games with under 10 yards this season. He'll have some more good weeks in the future, but there's too much risk this week against a defense that allows under 200 passing yards per game. It's safest to keep Hardman on your bench.

From RotoBaller

Oct 16 8:40pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman caught three of his four targets in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills, finishing with 42 yards and a touchdown. It was Hardman's first touchdown since Week 1. Hardman has had a few good showings this year, but he also has two games with under five receiving yards. That kind of a floor makes him hard to trust in fantasy, even if he'll occasionally have a game like this where he gets the ball into the end zone. Consider him a boom-or-bust flex option.

From RotoBaller

Oct 15 11:50am ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman set season highs in receptions and receiving yards last week against the Raiders. His role on this team is still too tentative to play him in most formats, but in a 14-team league or deeper, there's some upside appeal for Hardman in a game against the Bills this week where his ability to stretch the field could lead to a big play, which the Chiefs will likely need against Buffalo's high-powered offense. Hardman is likely touchdown dependent, but there are worse dart throws you could make.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 12:20am ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman caught four passes for 73 yards in Monday's win over the Raiders, including a 36-yard reception, the longest of the game by the Chiefs. While Hardman briefly exited with what looked like a heel issue, he quickly returned to the field. Hardman has had some good moments this season, but he also had combined for two catches and six yards over the previous two games, so don't run out and add him off the waiver wire just yet.

From RotoBaller

Oct 1 2:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (heel) was removed from the team's final injury report and will be active in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hardman missed practice on Wednesday but was a limited participant on both Thursday and Friday. He has been playing behind JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (abdomen) in regards to targets and snaps so far this season, but could have an opportunity this week with Valdes-Scantling questionable to play. Still, fantasy managers should not be considering Hardman in starting lineups unless pivoting from MVS in deeper leagues on Sunday night.

Sep 29 9:30am ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (heel) did not practice Wednesday. He dealt with a heel issue in the Week 3 loss to the Indianapolis Colts but was removed from the injury report before last Sunday's game. The 24-year-old logged 43 snaps but saw his usage drop considerably. He caught two passes for two yards in Week 3 and has just seven catches for 67 yards and a touchdown over three games in 2022. The former second-round pick will have two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hardman is a boom-or-bust option, even if he is active for Week 4.

From RotoBaller

Sep 25 7:40pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman was targeted just once in Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, catching the pass for two yards. After being targeted 10 times over the first two games, Hardman saw a major drop in usage this week. Hardman was starting to sneak onto the fantasy radar, but Sunday's game really slams shut his window. He's best left on the waiver wire this week.

From RotoBaller

Sep 21 9:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (heel) was limited during Wednesday's practice. The speedy wideout was forced to exit briefly during last Thursday's contest. However, Hardman was able to return for that contest and finished with three receptions for 49 yards. His absence would make Justin Watson and Skyy Moore more appealing fantasy options. Neither player has reliable value, but could be dart throws in DFS contests, assuming Hardman is unable to play in Week 3.

Sep 16 12:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Mecole Hardman (ankle) and Justin Watson (shoulder) both picked up injuries in Thursday night's 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Hardman caught three of his four targets for 49 yards, while Watson caught both of his targets for 50 yards and his first touchdown since 2019. Hardman had his left ankle taped during the game and was seen limping in the second half, but he finished the game. The 24-year-old was tied for the second-most targets behind only tight end Travis Kelce. It's unclear when Watson picked up his shoulder injury. The good news for both players is that they'll have extra time to heal up before their Week 3 contest on Sept. 25 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Sep 16 10:00am ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman was targeted four times in Thursday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers, hauling in three of those for 49 yards. Hardman also got a carry on a third-down play, but lost four yards. The Chiefs are spreading the ball around so far and Hardman has now been targeted 10 times in two games. He's an intriguing deep-league target in fantasy, though the nature of this offense means that he'll have a low floor, since Patrick Mahomes has so many people to throw to.

From RotoBaller

Sep 11 8:10pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman found the end zone in Sunday's 44-21 win over the Cardinals, finishing with three catches for 16 yards. Hardman was second among the team's receivers in targets with six. The fourth-year receiver isn't poised for a breakout, but the fact he had more targets than Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Skyy Moore combined is interesting. Hardman is an intriguing waiver claim this week.
