Warren is playing at high level
It is amazing how quickly things can change in fantasy land. Things are going your way. You are off to a 2-0 start. Those players you were targeting got off to fast starts. All is well. Then injuries happen and players have some dud games, causing you to lose your next two games (I might be speaking from experience). Just remember: things can change in a hurry. Don’t get too high or too low, especially early in the season. Trends are just starting to form. We are getting a better idea of what the current trends should be going forward. This should give you a better idea of just how good or bad your team might be.
Now for my random thoughts for the week. . . .
I did not see this type of ascent coming from Bryce Young this year. He is proving me wrong. He has been so good. Young is third overall in fantasy quarterback scoring. He looks like a different quarterback out there. Young does such a good job of getting the ball out on time and in rhythm. He anticipates so well. Plus, he can improvise with the best of them when things don’t go on schedule in the pocket. He has really taken his game to a new level, and I don’t think it is a fluke. He took steps forward last year and continues to get better every week. Enjoy the ride. It has been special to watch.
You can’t ignore the huge game from Brian Robinson last week, scoring three times, but I still think he is a risky play for fantasy teams. This isn’t really a timeshare, and Bijan Robinson continues to get many of the goal-line chances. Plus, Robinson just doesn’t catch the ball. It is great to see him get double-digit carries three straight games, but his three total catches on the season make him a touchdown-dependent fantasy player. He’ll be a boom-or-bust play on a weekly basis.
I don’t know what is going on with Jeremiyah Love, but it is worrisome. You don’t like to hear his comments after the game, saying the coaching staff should keep him out late because he isn’t quite as explosive right now. You don’t know if he is just saying this to keep his coaches happy, but it seems strange. All I know is you would want your third overall pick in the draft out on the field with the game on the line late. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case last week. Hopefully, Love gets going sooner rather than later, but I’m not encouraged with what I’m seeing and hearing. Not good.
If I have any Colts that aren’t Jonathan Taylor, I would be worried, mainly because Daniel Jones is not playing very well. He isn’t playing near the level of last year. You have to wonder if returning from his major injury has impacted him. Jones is just 30th overall in fantasy quarterback scoring. He is making poor decisions with the ball and turning it over way too much. This does not bode well for Josh Downs or Tyler Warren. Until Jones gets it going again, I would temper my expectations for those pass catchers.
I’m not convinced Kyle Monangai is suddenly the lead back for the Bears after his huge 30-carry performance last week. He looked phenomenal in that game, and D’Andre Swift lost another fumble. But even with that said, it would not surprise me if Swift leads the Bears in carries once again this week. This remains more of a timeshare, and I don’t see either back emerging to start getting most of the work. This hurts the fantasy value of both players, but they still have plenty of value in this offense. Just don’t overvalue Monangai off one week.
The Lions are a defense to target on a weekly basis. This defense is a train wreck. They allow 31.8 points per game. The secondary continues to have all sorts of injury issues, and the team seems to be involved in shootouts on a weekly basis. So if you are looking for any streamers to grab with the upcoming bye weeks, look at the team the Lions are playing that week. It could pay off big.
I think this season is showing why you don’t want to use an earlier-round pick on a kicker. Many fantasy teams took Brandon Aubrey in the 10th or 11th round of drafts. After four games, Aubrey is seventh overall in fantasy kicker scoring. Meanwhile, Spencer Shrader, who didn’t even go drafted in many formats, is first overall in scoring. Matt Gay and Ryan Fitzgerald are also ahead of Aubrey right now. It is a long season, but these guys weren’t even drafted in many of my leagues. Kicker tends to fluctuate from season to season, and even some sure things don’t always pan out. It is a reason I have no shares of Aubrey on any of my fantasy teams.
News and Notes
Seahawks: It looked like the Seahawks were going to sign veteran running back Joe Mixon early in the week, but decided against it after apparently seeing something in his physical they did not like. Mixon did not play at all last year because of a mysterious foot injury.
HOT PLAYS
Jared Goff, QB, Lions
Goff continues to post some of the most consistent numbers in fantasy football. He is sixth overall in fantasy quarterback scoring and has at least 22 fantasy points in three straight games. The Lions defense is a mess, so the offense is being called on to post big weekly numbers if they hope to win games. Look for Goff to continue to post big numbers, especially this week against the Cardinals. Arizona allows the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks and has allowed at least 31 points three straight games. Goff is a smash play in Week 5.
Jaylen Warren, RB, Steelers
Warren has started to excel as the lead back for the Steelers with Rico Dowdle sidelined. Warren has 120-plus total yards in two straight games. He has topped 15 fantasy points in each of those games. He is getting plenty of work as a runner and receiver, giving him a great floor. Look for more of the same success from Warren this week against a bad Colts defense. Indy allows the 10th-most fantasy points to running backs and is 26th overall against the run.
Aaron Jones, RB, Vikings
Jones has been a bright spot in a bad Vikings offense this year. He has seized most of the work with Jordan Mason sidelined. Jones topped 120 total yards last week and has 14-plus fantasy points in two straight games. He is getting more looks in the passing game, having nine receptions over those last two games. This has really improved his fantasy numbers. He should be set up for another good game this week against the Saints. New Orleans was torched on the ground by the Falcons last week and gives up the most fantasy points to running backs.
Michael Wilson, WR, Cardinals
Wilson is clearly the top target for the Cardinals at receiver. He has 30 targets over his last two games, catching 18 of those passes. He has 16-plus fantasy points in each of those last two games and double-digit fantasy points in three of four games. Wilson is racking up the looks and posting great fantasy numbers in the process. He should have a big game this week against the Lions. Detroit allows the second-most fantasy points to receivers and is dead last against the pass, allowing 304 passing yards per game.
Carnell Tate, WR, Titans
There aren’t many bright spots for the Titans right now, but Tate is one of them. He is emerging as the clear go-to target for Cam Ward. He is getting peppered with targets lately, having 21 over his last two games. He has 11-plus fantasy points in each of those games and is coming off his first 100-yard game of his career. You might think a matchup this week against Houston is a bad one for Tate, but the Texans are really struggling to stop the pass this year. Houston allows the most fantasy points to receivers and is just 28th overall against the pass, allowing 260 passing yards per game. Keep Tate in your lineup for Week 5.
COLD PLAYS
Sam Darnold, QB, Seahawks
Darnold played fine in victory last week against the Chargers but wasn’t much help to his fantasy owners. He had just 16 fantasy points. He isn’t exactly a sure thing for fantasy owners, posting some up-and-down numbers. It could be a down game for him this week. Darnold has a huge division matchup against the 49ers. San Francisco has turned the corner defensively this year and allows the seventh-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. The 49ers have allowed fewer than 15 points in three of four games. Darnold might be best left on fantasy benches.
Cam Skattebo, RB, Giants
Skattebo isn’t having quite the fantasy season most hoped for at this point of the year. He has yet to top 15 fantasy points in a game. He has fewer than double-digit fantasy points in two of three games. He has yet to have a 100-yard game and has 60 or fewer rushing yards in three straight games. Skattebo is not providing much help to fantasy teams right now. Look for another poor showing for Skattebo in Week 5. He gets the Commanders, a team that allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Washington allows the sixth-fewest rushing yards per game (93.5).
Keon Coleman, WR, Bills
Coleman is coming off a huge game, his best of the season. He hit the 100-yard mark, catching six passes for 116 yards. He has 12-plus fantasy points in two of three games. The problem is Coleman continues to be inconsistent. He has fewer than five fantasy points in two of four games. He continues to be up and down. Look for a down game this week against a good Rams secondary. The Rams are second overall against the pass, allowing 145.5 passing yards per game. Don’t get sucked into playing Coleman after his big game last week. He is no sure thing.
Tucker Kraft, TE, Packers
Kraft reached double-digit fantasy points last week for the first time all season. He finally broke out of his slump and was a help to fantasy teams. But don’t forget he still has more than 50 yards in just one of four games. He has been pretty ho-hum with the Packers receivers stepping up this year and making more plays. Look for Kraft to come back down to earth this week against a Bears secondary that is starting to play much, much better. Plus, Chicago has been great against the tight end, allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. The Bears have allowed fewer than double-digit fantasy points to tight ends in three of four games.
Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints
Kamara was back to his old self last week, getting a chance to start once again. He found the end zone twice and scored 22.8 fantasy points. He also had five receptions in the game. Unfortunately, he ran for just 23 yards and his receiving yards were low (35). Kamara would not have been a help to fantasy teams if not for finding the end zone twice. We aren’t sure he scores this week against the Vikings, so he could be a risky play. Minnesota is seventh overall against the run and allows the fewest fantasy points to running backs.
SLEEPERS
Jacoby Brissett, QB, Cardinals
Brissett failed to reach 20 fantasy points last week and has reached that total just once in four games. His numbers have been down a little compared to last year. The positive is he has topped 275 passing yards in two of four games. He still has plenty of weapons to work with in the passing game and is capable of the big game any given week, especially this week against Detroit. The Lions defense is a mess. Detroit allows over 30 points per game and the most fantasy points to quarterbacks for the season.
Malachi Fields, WR, Giants
Fields scored his first NFL touchdown last week. He had career-best numbers, catching two passes for 52 yards and a touchdown on three targets. He has multiple receptions in every game this season. His numbers haven’t been impressive, but he seems to be getting better each week. Fields might be able to build on last week, playing the Commanders in Week 5. Washington allows the fourth-most fantasy points to receivers and ranks 25th overall against the pass. Fields could be worth a look for fantasy teams this week.
Keaton Mitchell, RB, Chargers
The Chargers backfield situation is a confusing one. It sure seems new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel has a thing for Mitchell, though. Mitchell played the most of any Chargers back last week and has played at least 37 percent of the snaps in two straight games. His usage is increasing, so fantasy owners should try to take advantage. Mitchell has 11-plus fantasy points in two straight games and seems likely to hit that mark again this week against the Broncos. Denver has struggled against the run this year, allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to running backs.
Mike Gesicki, TE, Bengals
Gesicki has been a lot more consistent this year, having double-digit fantasy points in three of four games. He has gotten his weekly work and is producing. Plus, he has been a top target in the red zone for the Bengals. Gesicki could be set up for a few more targets this week with the Bengals banged up at receiver. Plus, Gesicki gets a Dolphins team that allows the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends. Miami has allowed 20-plus fantasy points to tight ends in two of four games. Consider Gesicki a TE1 for Week 5.
Darius Cooper, WR, Eagles
Cooper played the most snaps of his season last week, being on the field 90 percent of the time. He had not played more than 50 percent of the snaps in a game all season before last week. And he took advantage of his chances, catching three passes for 33 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets. Injuries have opened the door for Cooper to play more, and that could be the case for him again this week. Cooper could be worth a look for fantasy teams in Week 5. The Jaguars allow the ninth-most fantasy points to receivers and rank just 31st overall against the pass, allowing 280.3 passing yards per game.
High/Low Scoring Games
Each week, we'll take a look at some of the high- and low-scoring games for the coming week. In high-scoring affairs, get your marginal players from those teams in your lineup to take advantage of the possible points barrage. In the low-scoring games, keep those marginal players on the bench and make sure to have your defenses involved in those contests.
High-Scoring Games
Bucs/Cowboys, Raiders/Patriots, Lions/Cardinals, 49ers/Seahawks, Bills/Rams.
Low-Scoring Games
Browns/Jets, Texans/Titans, Broncos/Chargers.
Bye Weeks
Chiefs, Panthers.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (chest) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, according to the team's official injury report. The 0-4 Chargers continue to be the bearers of bad news, listing a whopping 18 players on their injury report, including three receivers: Johnston, Ladd McConkey (foot, did not practice), and Brenen Thompson (quadricep, limited). Johnston has been incredibly disappointing in his fourth NFL season, catching just seven passes for 108 yards and zero touchdowns through four games. After posting a career-best WR34 finish in PPR leagues last year, he has plummeted to WR88 in scoring so far this season. The only good news is that he has maintained a snap share of at least 75% every week. If McConkey is inactive against the Denver Broncos in Week 5, Johnston's fantasy appeal will increase slightly, but he's pretty tough to trust in most leagues right now. Plus, he'd need to clear injury hurdles of his own as he works to overcome this chest ailment.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday as the team begins preparing for Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers, according to John Boyle of the team's official website. Charbonnet tore his ACL in the playoffs last year, and he didn't quite recover in time for the season opener, so the Seahawks placed him on the PUP list to start the year. Now that he has missed the minimum four games, he's eligible to be activated. The Seahawks definitely don't have to activate him this week if they don't think he's ready, but it's worth noting that Seattle is actively looking to improve its backfield. After placing rookie Jadarian Price (chest) on injured reserve last week, the Seahawks tried to sign Joe Mixon to their practice squad, but the deal didn't progress beyond a physical. Getting Charbonnet back from injury would help answer the running back questions for Seattle, which gave a total of 32 touches to Emanuel Wilson and George Holani last week. Upon his return, Charbonnet would occupy the lead-back role, ranking as an RB2 in fantasy football.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jalen Nailor (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday as the team begins to prepare for Week 5 against the New England Patriots, according to Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee. Nailor initially suffered the injury in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, and it forced him to miss part of the game. Now, he's at risk of missing all of next week's game against the Patriots if he doesn't clear concussion protocol in time. It's not often that players are able to clear the protocol in seven days, but it's not impossible. Fantasy managers should monitor the Raiders' practice reports going forward, especially when they release their game status designations on Friday. If Nailor can't suit up this week, Tre Tucker and Cody White would step into larger roles in the passing game.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, according to Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee. As the Raiders prepare for their Week 5 matchup against the New England Patriots, Bowers appears to be less than 100%. It's too early to panic, though. After all, Bowers was limited on Friday last week, and he still managed to play 48 hours later, racking up six catches for 86 yards and one touchdown against the Chiefs. As long as Bowers doesn't take a step backward and miss a practice altogether, we feel pretty good about his chances of playing on Sunday afternoon. The Raiders and fantasy managers will both benefit from his availability, as he has posted a whopping 25 targets, 16 catches, 202 yards, and two touchdowns in two games since returning from his meniscus trim. He is an undisputed high-end TE1 in fantasy football week in and week out.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) logged a limited practice session on Wednesday due to a groin issue, per the team's official injury report. Croskey-Merritt recorded 2026 season lows in Week 4 in carries (nine), rushing yards (15) and rushing yards per attempt (1.7). He also had two receptions for 35 yards. Austin Ekeler, who recently signed back with the Commanders, outperformed Croskey-Merritt on the ground on fewer carries with 29 yards on four rushes (7.3 yards per carry). Ultimately, the Commanders were defeated 30-13 against the Indianapolis Colts in London in Week 4. Of note, fellow running back Rachaad White (shoulder) returned to practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday after missing the game against the Colts in Week 4. Croskey-Merritt leads the Commanders with 56 rushing attempts for 157 yards and a touchdown, but he has been inefficient with an average of just 2.8 yards per carry. Croskey-Merritt's participation throughout the rest of the practice week will be telling, but he does not appear to be in danger of missing a Week 5 matchup with the New York Giants as of now.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs (hamstring) missed Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury. Diggs is coming off of a five-catch, 35-yard performance in a Week 4 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in London. He saw nine targets in the game, but ended with a rather unproductive stat line. Diggs is Washington's leading wide receiver through four games in 2026 with 18 receptions for 170 yards (9.4 yards per catch) and three touchdowns. Fellow wide receiver Terry McLaurin (hamstring) also did not practice on Wednesday after he was forced to miss the Week 4 loss against the Colts because of a hamstring injury of his own. It would not be an ideal situation for the Commanders to be without both wideouts against the New York Giants in Week 5. Diggs' status is worth monitoring throughout the week.
From RotoBaller
Tyler Shough (hand), the starting quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a left hand issue, according to the team's injury report. However, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football noted that Shough's injury "doesn't sound concerning." The Saints are coming off of a 45-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football. Shough completed 30 of his 48 passes (62.5%) for 286 yards and a touchdown. Through four games in the 2026 season, Shough currently ranks third in the NFL with 1,203 passing yards, and he is tied for third in the league in touchdown passes with nine. While fantasy managers will need to keep a close eye on Shough's status the rest of the week, his availability does not seem too worrisome right now.
From RotoBaller
Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard (foot) did not practice Wednesday due to a foot issue, according to the team's official injury report. Of note, Pollard also did not practice last week on Wednesday ahead of Week 4 before logging full practice sessions on Thursday and Friday. Ultimately, he was active and played 34 offensive snaps in a 24-18 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Pollard rushed 16 times for 48 yards (3.0 yards per carry) and scored a touchdown against the Ravens, while also adding two receptions for two yards. He is Tennessee's leading rusher with 54 carries for 221 yards and a touchdown. Pollard has also recorded eight receptions for 24 yards. While his status for the rest of the week is worth monitoring moving forward, his absence on Wednesday was most likely precautionary.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday, according to Alec Lewis of The Athletic. Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said that Addison is dealing with some hamstring soreness. He noted that it was a minor issue, so it sounds like Addison will be fine in time for the Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Addison is finally beginning to produce consistent numbers, so fantasy managers don't need him to go down with an injury right now. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the week.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (thumb) has been officially ruled out ahead of the Week 5 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. As expected, Mayfield will miss his second straight game with the Bucs taking on the Cowboys in Dallas on Thursday Night. The veteran quarterback could be sidelined as long as six to eight weeks while he recovers from his thumb injury. Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels will draw his second career start this week. Fantasy managers in most standard 12-team redraft formats can probably move on from Mayfield, with him expected to miss a good chunk of the season.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams tight end Terrance Ferguson (ankle) is expected to have a minimal stay on the Injured Reserve, per Cameron DaSilva of USA Today. Ferguson should be ready to play following his four-game absence due to being placed on the IR. The 23-year-old landed on the IR ahead of Week 4, so he'll be eligible to play against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 8. Tyler Higbee will likely be leaned on the most at tight end while Ferguson is out. Colby Parkinson (shoulder, knee) and Davis Allen could also be mixed in, but aren't as valuable fantasy assets. Fantasy managers can be hopeful that they'll get Ferguson back for Week 8, but they should continue to check back for more updates.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown (ankle) was seen in the locker room without a noticeable limp, according to Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald. Brown has been out since suffering a right high-ankle sprain during the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks. The star wideout is hopeful to get back on the field after missing the minimum of four weeks he is required to miss because he was placed on the Injured Reserve. He's eligible to practice next week, so Brown moving around without a limp is a good sign ahead of him possibly practicing next week. Romeo Doubs and Mack Hollins will continue to operate as the primary wideouts until Brown is ready to play again.
From RotoBaller
The Dallas Cowboys have had one of the worst defenses in the NFL so far this season, on paper, on film, and on the stat sheet. In fantasy football, they're the worst defense, depending on your scoring system, and haven't scored double-digit fantasy points in any of their games. They've allowed 28 points per game to opposing offenses. They even dipped into negative scoring in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens. But the matchup is so good in Week 5 that they might finally be worth starting in deep leagues. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense fell completely flat in Week 4, as starting quarterback Baker Mayfield (thumb) missed the game with a thumb injury and was replaced by backup QB Jalon Daniels. He threw for just 148 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, and was sacked three times. Dallas will have home-field advantage for the contest. The Cowboys would benefit from having a real threat at pass-rusher, but in such an easy matchup, they have at least some upside in very deep leagues.
Denver Broncos wide receiver and returner Marvin Mims Jr. caught one of three targets for 10 yards in the 24-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Although Mims didn't have a productive Week 4, his role increased after second-year receiver Pat Bryant was injured. Mims' snap share rose from 17% in Week 1 to 27% in Week 4. With Bryant (ankle) expected to be placed on injured reserve, Mims could see his role grow further in the coming weeks. While he's still likely to play a smaller role than Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton, and Troy Franklin, Mims is a receiver to watch in deeper leagues and is one injury away from a solid role in the Broncos' receiving room.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has been quiet through the first four weeks of the season. Heading into Week 5, Otton has recorded 15 receptions with 157 receiving yards and zero touchdowns. He has an increased chance of finding the end zone this Thursday against the struggling Dallas Cowboys defense. A unit that has allowed three touchdowns to tight ends through the first four games of the season. Otton hauled in four of his six targets for 37 yards during last week's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Fantasy managers should expect Otton to remain in the TE2 range for this upcoming Thursday Night matchup.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Ted Hurst III is someone who could be an interesting stash option in deep leagues or dynasty formats. The rookie wideout seemed to be on the verge of breaking out before quarterback Baker Mayfield (thumb) was injured. Now, the value of Hurst is expected to take a hit with rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels under center. Last week, Hurst finished with two receptions on three targets for 25 yards in the loss to the Green Bay Packers. Hurst offers big-play ability, but this offense can't seem to get anything going consistently. Hurst gets a plus-matchup against the Dallas Cowboys defense in Week 5, but that's still not enough to warrant starting him in Week 5.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. is coming off arguably his best performance of the year during last week's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Godwin hauled in six of his seven targets for 31 yards in the loss. Both the targets and receptions were season highs for Godwin. It seems that Godwin and rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels are quickly building chemistry together. They'll have a great chance to do some damage together against the struggling Dallas Cowboys defense in Week 5. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect monster numbers from Godwin, but he should be worth a look as a low-end flex option.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka has certainly been a disappointment to fantasy managers through the first four games of the season. Heading into Week 5, Egbuka has hauled in 15 of his 24 targets for 154 receiving yards and one touchdown. It has been a rough year for the 23-year-old, but the talent is certainly there. This is not a good situation for Egbuka right now with an unperforming offense and an undrafted rookie under center for the foreseeable future. The hope is that Egbuka and Jalon Daniels build more chemistry over the next few weeks. He'll draw a favorable matchup against the struggling Dallas Cowboys defense in Week 5. There's hope that Egbuka can bounce-back because he does have big-play ability, but fantasy managers cannot trust him as more than a flex option right now.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday, according to Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group. Evans suffered a painful rib injury in the Week 3 win over the division-rival Arizona Cardinals, but he managed to suit up for this past Sunday's win over the visiting Denver Broncos. The 33-year-old future Hall of Famer caught five of a season-high eight targets for a season-high 76 yards in the victory over Denver. Evans could be on the injury report for much of the 2026 season, but so far, he has managed to play in all of the team's four games and has 17 catches on 24 targets for 213 yards and two touchdowns to begin his first year in the Bay Area. He is San Francisco's clear WR1 target for quarterback Brock Purdy in an extremely banged-up receiver room. The weekly volume is propping up Evans' otherwise fading fantasy value because of the mounting injuries near the end of his career. If he does not suffer a setback this week, he should play on Sunday against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks, where he will be a low-end WR2/high-end WR3/flex.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Kenny Gainwell was able to find the end zone for the first time during last week's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Gainwell hasn't seen as much attention in the offense as fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Last week, Gainwell carried the ball three times for five yards, while hauling in two receptions for 22 yards and one touchdown in the loss. It has been a down year for Gainwell, but he heads into a plus-matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. A defense that has struggled to contain both the passing and running game. Gainwell hasn't given fantasy managers many reasons to have faith in him, but he could be a flex option in deep leagues for this favorable matchup in Dallas.
