Purdy is playing at high level

We had two quality teams off last week, and this week is even tougher with four teams on a bye. This could be tough for some fantasy teams to navigate, with the Bengals, Lions, Dolphins and Vikings all off in Week 6. Hopefully, it doesn’t impact you too much. Just remember, a proactive owner is a winning owner. Try to figure out your lineup ahead of time when you have players on a bye. Just something to keep in mind going forward.

Now for my random thoughts for the week. . . .

All right, I will be the first to admit when I make a mistake. And I made one with Omarion Hampton. I can’t believe the players I passed on to get him. I was all in on Hampton, and he has been awful. The entire Chargers offense is a train wreck. I have little hope for a turnaround, either, especially when it comes to Hampton. The Chargers keep rotating backs, and Hampton seems to have fallen out of favor with the coaching staff. Not a good combination at all. So, a swing and a miss for me on that one. Ouch.

Speaking of bad, how about some of those coaching decisions last week? Wow. There were so many bad coaching moves that I have lost track of them all. How does that happen at this level? It is just crazy to me. Do better, NFL head coaches. It has been ugly for many of you this season.

I know we are just five weeks into the season, but kicker Spencer Shrader is 49th overall in fantasy scoring. Just crazy. Here are some of the players he has more fantasy points than right now: Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, D’Andre Swift and Chase Brown, to name just a few. Again, it is really early, but Shrader has been a league winner through five games. And he went undrafted in most leagues.

I hate to say it, but I’m losing faith in Cam Ward as the franchise quarterback for the Titans. He has made little progress since entering the league last year. He holds onto the ball too long and doesn’t get it out on time. He drifts back in the pocket, hoping to extend the play and find someone open. He has not looked the part at all to start his career. Maybe he will pull a Bryce Young and put it together a little later than his team hoped, but I’m not so sure.

I seriously don’t know why I keep thinking this is going to be the year Derrick Henry starts to slow down. This guy is just a freak of nature. He looks as good as ever this year. I love watching him because his speed seems to build as he runs. Plus, he continues to have maybe the best stiff arm in all of football. Just continue to enjoy the ride. I think he can sustain his great start to the season.

Brock Bowers is going to lead all fantasy tight ends in scoring despite missing the first two games of the season because of injury. I’m sure there were a lot of freaked-out owners early in the season after hearing he had knee surgery, but they can relax now. Bowers is absolutely killing it this year and could get even stronger as the season progresses. He seems likely to pay off for all the fantasy owners who used a high-round pick on him.

I will officially say that Drake Maye is back. He has looked unbelievable over the last two games. It sure is amazing what a little confidence can do for a football player. Maye has his swagger back. He is seeing the field better and doing a much better job with his decision-making. He also has a favorable fantasy schedule coming up, facing the Jets, Bears, Dolphins, Packers and Lions.

News and Notes

Rams: The Rams released kicker Harrison Mevis on Tuesday. Los Angeles is signing Blake Grupe off the Jets’ practice squad, and Grupe will take over the starting kicking duties.

Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson was suspended without pay for two games on Tuesday. The NFL suspended him for punching Bills defensive end Bradley Chubb after last week’s game.

Bears: Bears defensive end Montez Sweat was suspended for two games for violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances Policy. This will be a huge loss for the Bears’ defensive line.

HOT PLAYS

Javonte Williams, RB, Cowboys

Williams continues to post very consistent numbers as the lead back for the Cowboys. He has had just one huge game, scoring 31.3 fantasy points, but has reached double-digit fantasy points in four of five games. His floor is very solid, making him a good RB1. We like him to have another big game this week against the Packers, who have struggled to stop the run. Green Bay allows the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs and 127.6 rushing yards per game.

Brock Purdy, QB, 49ers

Purdy is off to a great start, ranking third overall in fantasy quarterback scoring through five games. Last week was his first game all season with fewer than 20 fantasy points. He has multiple touchdowns in every game this season and has two games with 30-plus fantasy points. Purdy is in complete command of the offense and has developed a great rapport with new receiver Mike Evans. He can get back to putting up big numbers this week against the Commanders, who allow the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Washington ranks just 29th overall against the pass, allowing 255 passing yards per game.

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Raiders

The Raiders need to get Jeanty going. He has cooled off since his huge opening game, rushing for fewer than 60 yards in four straight games. He also has not topped 20 fantasy points since Week 1. Look for him to get a big workload this week against the Bills, though. Buffalo has really struggled to stop the run and allows the second-most fantasy points to running backs. We expect the Raiders to lean more heavily on the running game in this one, taking some of the pressure off Kirk Cousins and the passing attack. This bodes well for Jeanty in Week 6.

Dalton Kincaid, TE, Bills

Kincaid has disappointed in recent weeks. He has just one catch in each of his last two games, with two targets in each contest. He has scored fewer than five fantasy points in three straight games. He got off to a great start this year, though, so don’t rule out a turnaround. He has a good opportunity to get back on track this week against a Raiders team that has really struggled to stop tight ends. Las Vegas allows the sixth-most fantasy points to the position and has allowed tight ends to score 24-plus fantasy points in two of its last three games.

Tet McMillan, WR, Panthers

McMillan was off last week, but fantasy teams shouldn’t forget about him. He is coming off his best game of the season, catching 14 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns. McMillan is playing the best football of his career right now. Look for another big game this week against the Eagles, who allow the fifth-most fantasy points to receivers. Philadelphia ranks just 26th overall against the pass.

COLD PLAYS

Bo Nix, QB, Broncos

The Broncos’ decision to have head coach Sean Payton call plays last week didn’t spark the offense. This unit continued to struggle, including Nix. He ranks just 24th overall in fantasy quarterback scoring and has reached 20-plus fantasy points in only one of five games. He has also thrown for fewer than 200 yards in three of five games. It has been a rough start for Nix, and things might not get much better this week against the Seahawks. Seattle has one of the best defenses in football and allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks.

Woody Marks, RB, Texans

Marks had been emerging as the lead back for the Texans in recent weeks and has now clearly taken over that role because of the injury to David Montgomery. He should get most of the work in the coming weeks with Montgomery sidelined. The Texans have struggled to run the ball all season, though, and have become a pass-first offense. That could be the case again this week against the Jaguars. Jacksonville ranks first overall against the run, allowing just 63.8 rushing yards per game. Leave Marks on your bench.

Kyle Pitts, TE, Falcons

Pitts is trending up a little. He had his best fantasy game of the season last week, scoring 15.2 fantasy points. He has yet to top 50 receiving yards in a game, though, and failed to reach double-digit fantasy points in his first four games. Pitts remains far from a sure thing. He also has a tough matchup this week against the Bears. Chicago has really shored up its secondary in recent weeks and allows the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. The Bears have held tight ends below double-digit fantasy points in three of five games. Pitts is probably best left on fantasy benches.

Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jaguars

Tuten has enjoyed a fine first season as the Jaguars’ lead back. He has had double-digit carries in every game and at least 65 rushing yards each time. His consistency has been a real plus for fantasy owners. Unfortunately, his fantasy production has been somewhat underwhelming. Tuten has scored fewer than 12 fantasy points in two straight games, and his season high is just 17 points. Look for another ho-hum performance in Week 6. He faces a Texans team that struggles to stop the pass but is very good against the run. Houston allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs and ranks third overall against the run, allowing 78.4 rushing yards per game.

Jaylen Waddle, WR, Broncos

Waddle might be one of the biggest busts in fantasy right now. He has scored fewer than seven fantasy points in three of five games. He caught just two passes for 19 yards last week on five targets and has fewer than 40 receiving yards in all but one game. Things aren’t going to get any easier this week against the Seahawks. Seattle has one of the best defenses in football and allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points to receivers. Don’t expect a sudden turnaround for Waddle in this one.

SLEEPERS

Cam Ward, QB, Titans

Ward is off to a rough start in his second season. He has thrown for more than 200 yards just once all season and has only one game with multiple touchdown passes. Ward does have one game with 20-plus fantasy points, so he has at least shown some potential for a big performance. If he is going to have another big game, this could be the week against a struggling Colts defense. Indianapolis allows the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks and has allowed more than 30 points in three of five games. Ward might be worth a shot for fantasy teams needing a quarterback because of the bye weeks.

Marshawn Lloyd, RB, Packers

The Packers continue to rotate backs, but Lloyd is getting the most work among the options. He played 44 percent of the snaps last week after playing 55 percent in Week 4. Lloyd found the end zone twice last week, rushing 10 times for 31 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing totals should increase this week if he gets double-digit carries against the Cowboys. Dallas ranks last against the run and has all sorts of injuries on defense. The Cowboys allow 168.4 rushing yards per game. Lloyd could help as a low-end RB2 or flex play in Week 6.

Jacob Cowing, WR, 49ers

Cowing has done next to nothing so far this season, but he could move into the starting lineup for the 49ers with Deebo Samuel hurt. Cowing played 43 percent of the snaps last week and ranks third on the team in snaps played for the season. He seems set to move into a starting role in San Francisco’s high-powered offense. He will be a risky option for fantasy teams to use, but he could surprise if he gets more playing time. The targets should be there against a bad Commanders secondary. Washington allows the fourth-most fantasy points to receivers.

Charlie Kolar, TE, Chargers

Kolar returned to the lineup last week and played the most snaps of any Chargers tight end, seeing 76 percent of the team's snaps. He had three receptions for 37 yards on four targets. He is more than just a blocking tight end in an offense looking for playmakers. Kolar might be worth a shot this week against Kansas City. The Chiefs have been very good defensively this year, but if they have a weakness, it is stopping tight ends. Kansas City has allowed the second-most fantasy points to the position and was torched by both Raiders tight ends in its last game.

Cody White, WR, Raiders

White has gotten some consistent work this year. He has multiple catches in two straight games and at least 35 receiving yards in each of those contests. He reached double-digit fantasy points in Week 1, so the potential is there for White to have a productive game. He has played 62 percent of the snaps in each of his last two games. If White gets that much work again this week against the Bills, he could do well. The Raiders could be playing from behind, leading to more passing opportunities. Plus, Buffalo has struggled to stop receivers this year, allowing the most fantasy points to the position.

High/Low Scoring Games

Each week, we'll take a look at some of the high- and low-scoring games for the coming week. In high-scoring affairs, get your marginal players from those teams into your lineup to take advantage of a possible points barrage. In the low-scoring games, keep those marginal players on the bench and make sure to have your defenses involved in those contests.

High-Scoring Games

Bears/Falcons, Saints/Giants, Cardinals/Rams, Cowboys/Packers, Commanders/49ers.

Low-Scoring Games

Seahawks/Broncos, Steelers/Bucs.

Bye Weeks

Bengals, Lions, Dolphins, Vikings.

Starts and Sits: Week 6

Player Notes
Will Shipley Oct 16 5:20pm ET
Will Shipley

The Philadelphia Eagles placed running back Will Shipley (foot) on Injured Reserve on Friday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Shipley was a high-priority pickup off the waiver wire last week after Saquon Barkley injured his hamstring in the Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but he suffered a foot injury while in a starting role in last Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London and will now be forced to miss at least the next four games. The 24-year-old will join Tank Bigsby (abdomen) on IR, and with Barkley ruled out for a second straight game this weekend against the visiting Carolina Panthers, the Eagles will be down to Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele in their backfield in Week 6. Specifically, Shipley was diagnosed with a plantar-fascia tear in his foot, so fantasy managers should not be surprised if he misses more than the next four games. In many leagues where he was scooped off the waiver wire, Shipley can be cut. In his first five games of 2026, he has 20 rushing attempts for 57 yards and one touchdown while catching five passes for 31 yards. Shipley was the RB3 in Philly when both Barkley and Bigsby were healthy.

Josh Jacobs Oct 16 5:20pm ET
Josh Jacobs

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is being removed from the commissioner's exempt list on Monday and will be eligible to play for the team in Week 7 against the division-rival Detroit Lions, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. However, the league's review of Jacobs' off-field situation will continue, and he could be subject to a suspension. The 28-year-old will miss the first six games of the 2026 season after his May arrest following a domestic incident. Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property in early September. Jacobs will now be allowed to make his season debut while the NFL resumes its investigation. The good news for Jacobs and his fantasy managers is that if the league hands down a suspension, his time already served on the exempt list could count towards the suspension. It remains to be seen if the Packers plan to ease Jacobs back into their backfield after relying mostly on a combination of MarShawn Lloyd and Kaleb Johnson through the first six weeks.

Quentin Johnston Oct 16 5:10pm ET
Quentin Johnston

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (chest) is off the injury report and will play in his team's Week 6 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, when asked about a potential snap count for Johnston, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh replied, "I don't know," per Alex Insdorf of the Guilty As Charged podcast. Johnston has had a rough season even when he's been healthy so far in 2026, recording seven catches for 108 yards on 19 targets across four games. He could have a chance to play a significant role in the Chargers' passing game in Week 6, as fellow wideout Tre' Harris (hamstring) has been ruled out and Ladd McConkey (foot) is playing through a foot injury. Still, Johnston remains extremely difficult for fantasy managers to trust as a starter against the tough Chiefs defense.

Makai Lemon Oct 16 5:10pm ET
Makai Lemon

It hasn't been a smooth start for Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Makai Lemon, but he showed improvement in a 19-17 Week 5 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Lemon recorded career highs in receptions (five) and receiving yards (43) last Sunday. The seven targets that Lemon saw against the Jaguars were also the most he has recorded in his young NFL career thus far. Lemon and the Eagles will face off against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6. The Panthers rank 22nd in the league in passing defense, allowing 230.8 passing yards per game. With that said, Carolina is only giving up 16.2 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, according to Pro Football Reference. While No. 1 wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) missed the past two games, he is expected to play in Week 6, which could cut into Lemon's workload. Still, Lemon should continue to see his fair share of targets, but he needs to be more efficient with his opportunities. Lemon, the 20th overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, has recorded 15 receptions (on 22 targets) for 108 yards (7.2 yards per reception) and one rush for negative-five yards so far in 2026. He has not scored a touchdown of any kind. Lemon has tallied 17.8 fantasy points in half-PPR scoring formats, according to RotoBaller, which ranks him 88th out of 215 qualifying wide receivers. Of note, Lemon will be catching passes from backup quarterback Tanner McKee on Sunday, with Jalen Hurts (calf) out due to a blood clot in his calf. Lemon ranks as RotoBaller's No. 59 wideout for Week 6 (half PPR) and is expected to score 4.2 fantasy points. It is not necessary to start Lemon right now.

From RotoBaller

Dontayvion Wicks Oct 16 5:00pm ET
Dontayvion Wicks

Wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring) has essentially operated as the No. 1 wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles with DeVonta Smith (hamstring) missing the past two games with a hamstring injury. In Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Wicks saw eight targets, which was the second-most on the team behind tight end Dallas Goedert. Wicks turned those opportunities into five receptions for 63 yards (12.6 yards per catch), but he did not find the end zone. Only Darius Cooper (71 yards on two receptions) had more receiving yards for the Eagles against the Jaguars. Now, Wicks and the Eagles return to Philadelphia for a Week 6 matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Wicks has been dealing with a hamstring injury, and he missed Thursday's practice this week, but he played through it against Jacksonville last week and is expected to play against the Panthers as well. Smith is returning in Week 6, but Wicks should still be involved against Carolina as the No. 2 wideout for the Eagles. The big question mark for Wicks and the wide receivers, though, is how well backup quarterback Tanner McKee will play in place of Jalen Hurts (calf). The Panthers currently allow 230.8 passing yards per game (22nd in the NFL). However, Carolina is one of the stingier teams in the league when it comes to allowing fantasy points to wide receivers. According to Pro Football Reference, the Panthers rank fourth in the NFL, allowing 16.2 fantasy points per game to wideouts. Wicks currently leads the Eagles with 260 receiving yards, and he has scored one touchdown. His 17 receptions rank second on the team, behind Smith's 19, and Wicks is averaging 15.3 yards per reception. He is RotoBaller's No. 41 wide receiver (half-PPR) for Week 6 and is projected to score 7.1 fantasy points. Wicks has flex or possibly WR3 fantasy appeal.

From RotoBaller

Dallas Goedert Oct 16 4:50pm ET
Dallas Goedert

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert returned to action against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 5 after missing two games due to an MCL sprain. He immediately picked up where he left off, generating a team-high nine targets and a team-high six receptions, which he turned into 38 yards (6.3 yards per reception). Goedert did not play with any sort of limitations, as he dominated offensive snaps for Philadelphia's tight ends with 43, compared to Johnny Mundt's 20, E.J. Jenkins' 12 and Zach Ertz's seven. In Week 6, Goedert draws a Carolina Panthers defense that gives up 230.8 passing yards per game and, according to Pro Football Reference, allows 11.3 fantasy points per game to tight ends. With three appearances in 2026, Goedert has tallied 17 targets and recorded 11 receptions for 119 yards (10.8 yards per catch) and two touchdowns. He played 71 combined offensive snaps in those three contests. According to RotoBaller, Goedert is averaging 11.6 fantasy points per game, which ranks 11th among tight ends. He has only seen two red zone targets so far this season, but one of which went for a 17-yard touchdown. Even with No. 1 wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) returning this week, Goedert will remain heavily involved in Philadelphia's offense. Goedert checks in as RotoBaller's No. 10 tight end (Half-PPR) for a Week 6, and he is projected to score 8.8 fantasy points. He is a must-start tight end.

From RotoBaller

Tre Harris Oct 16 4:50pm ET
Tre Harris

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Tre' Harris (hamstring) has been ruled out for his team's Week 6 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Harris suffered the injury during the Chargers' Week 5 loss to the Denver Broncos. The 24-year-old has flashed upside to this point in 2026, recording 15 catches for 225 yards on 25 targets across five games. However, fantasy managers will now have to wait until at least Week 8 to play him, as the Chargers have their bye in Week 7. While Harris is sidelined against Kansas City, Los Angeles wideouts Ladd McConkey (foot) and Quentin Johnston (chest) are both active and should be the lead options in the passing game for Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.

From RotoBaller

Ladd McConkey Oct 16 4:40pm ET
Ladd McConkey

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (foot) is off the injury report and will be active for his team's Week 6 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, per Alex Insdorf of the Guilty As Charged Podcast. However, when asked whether McConkey will be on a snap count, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said, "I don't know." McConkey was active for the Chargers' Week 5 loss to the Denver Broncos, but did not play a single snap. The 24-year-old has battled multiple injury issues so far in 2026, recording 12 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown on 17 targets across four games. While McConkey has a chance to be productive against Kansas City, his uncertain health status and the Chargers' struggling offense make him a very risky start for fantasy managers in Week 6.

From RotoBaller

Tanner McKee Oct 16 4:40pm ET
Tanner McKee

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee will make his 2026 debut and start against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6. McKee will fill in for Jalen Hurts (calf) who is out due to a superficial blood clot in his calf. Hurts played without limitation and threw a season-high 40 passes in a heartbreaking 19-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 5, but the superficial blood clot was discovered via an ultrasound the Saturday before the game. However, ahead of Week 6, a follow-up ultrasound revealed movement in the small blood clot and Hurts will be out for the game against the Panthers at minimum, according to the team. Amidst a three-game losing streak, the already short-handed Eagles will now turn to McKee. The Panthers allow 230.8 passing yards per game (22nd in the NFL) and allow 6.4 yards per completion (13th in the NFL). According to Pro Football Reference, Carolina gives up 19.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (25th in the NFL). McKee is yet to take a snap in 2026, but has played in six career games, with two starts. He has completed 54 out of 88 pass attempts (61.4%) for 597 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. Entering Week 6, McKee ranks as RotoBaller's No. 26 quarterback. He is projected to score 13 fantasy points. Unless there are no other suitable options, McKee does not need to be picked up on the waiver wire or started until he proves what he can do. It is possible Hurts misses multiple weeks, so McKee will be somebody to watch moving forward.

From RotoBaller

Tyler Warren Oct 16 4:30pm ET
Tyler Warren

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren (groin) is questionable to play in his team's Week 6 matchup against the Tennessee Titans with a groin injury. Warren was a surprise addition to the Friday injury report as a limited practice participant after practicing in full throughout the early portion of the week. The 24-year-old may have suffered the injury during practice on Friday, which could put his availability for Sunday in serious jeopardy. Across five games so far in 2026, Warren has recorded 30 catches for 213 yards and two touchdowns on 36 targets. If he's unable to play against Tennessee, Colts wide receivers Josh Downs and Keenan Allen could both be in line for upticks in target share and profile as more attractive options for fantasy managers in Week 6.

From RotoBaller

Jaylen Warren Oct 16 4:20pm ET
Jaylen Warren

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren is enjoying a breakout campaign, ranking as the fantasy RB9 through the first five weeks, and should continue to produce against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6. The bad news for Warren is that Tampa Bay is giving up the third-fewest yards per carry and fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing backs. On the plus side, however, the Buccaneers have surrendered the fourth-most receptions to the position. Warren has seen at least four targets in every game this season and secured nine of 12 targets from quarterback Aaron Rodgers over the past two weeks. With Pittsburgh incredibly thin at wide receiver, as Michael Pittman Jr. (foot), Roman Wilson (finger), and Ben Skowronek (calf) are all out and DK Metcalf (illness) is questionable, Warren should be heavily involved in the passing game on Sunday. He may cede some opportunities to teammate Rico Dowdle (toe) if he returns, but Warren remains locked in as a fantasy RB1 given his recent performances and workload.

From RotoBaller

Saquon Barkley Oct 16 4:20pm ET
Saquon Barkley

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for his team's Week 6 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. This will be the second consecutive missed game for Barkley after he injured his hamstring during Philadelphia's Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Across the four games he's played in this season, Barkley has recorded 190 scrimmage yards and zero touchdowns on 40 touches. The Eagles head into Week 6 incredibly banged up across the board, but especially at the running back position. Outside of Barkley, Philadelphia RB2 Tank Bigsby (core) and RB3 Will Shipley (foot) are both on Injured Reserve. As a result, reserve backs Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele appear set to lead the team's backfield in Week 6.

From RotoBaller

Kenneth Walker III Oct 16 4:20pm ET
Kenneth Walker III

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker will take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6. Walker and the rest of the team should be well-rested coming off the bye week and ready to take on a division rival in the Chargers. Los Angeles has not been a tough matchup for opposing offenses this season and their offense has not been much better as their winless record should reflect. Walker has been one of the most valuable backs in fantasy to begin the season and he should continue to handle a hefty workload after a week of rest. Walker could also see increased usage in the passing game with wide receiver Rashee Rice ruled out with a hamstring injury. Walker is ranked RB2 in our RotoBaller Week 6 PPR rankings, making him a top-end option at the position this week. Fantasy managers who missed his production last week should welcome Walker back into lineups this Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Rico Dowdle Oct 16 4:20pm ET
Rico Dowdle

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rico Dowdle (toe) is questionable for Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite practicing in full on Thursday and Friday. Dowdle has missed three consecutive games since injuring his toe against New England in Week 2, but his progression from a limited session Wednesday to consecutive full practices is encouraging. He recorded 37 rushing yards on 15 carries and caught four passes for 28 yards across his first two games. Jaylen Warren has taken control of the Pittsburgh backfield during Dowdle's absence, most recently totaling 188 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns against Indianapolis in Week 5. Warren's production gives the Steelers little reason to rush Dowdle into a substantial role, even if he's cleared to return. Fantasy managers should keep Dowdle on the bench until there's a clearer picture of how Pittsburgh intends to distribute its backfield touches.

From RotoBaller

Travis Kelce Oct 16 4:20pm ET
Travis Kelce

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will face the Los Angeles Chargers at home in Week 6. Kelce should benefit from the team's bye last week, offering the veteran tight end an opportunity to recover before taking on a division rival. The Chargers are winless heading into the weekend and march into Arrowhead as heavy underdogs. Kelce should also step into a larger role on offense with Rashee Rice ruled out with a hamstring injury. None of the Kansas City pass receivers outside of Rice and Tyquan Thornton have stepped up this season, making Kelce the de-facto top option in the passing game once again. Kelce is ranked TE8 in our RotoBaller Week 6 PPR rankings, making him a solid TE1 option. Fantasy managers should feel confident riding with Kelce this weekend.

From RotoBaller

DeVonta Smith Oct 16 4:20pm ET
DeVonta Smith

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring, toe) is off the injury report and will play in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers, per John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia. Smith has missed each of Philadelphia's last two games with a hamstring injury. The 27-year-old was off to a strong start before getting injured, recording 19 catches for 235 yards and a touchdown on 27 targets across three games. However, Smith now returns to an Eagles offense that will be without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts (calf) and star right tackle Lane Johnson (retirement). Smith has enough talent to produce for fantasy managers, but he profiles as a risky start while catching passes from Eagles QB2 Tanner McKee.

Sam Darnold Oct 16 4:13pm ET
Sam Darnold

Dynasty | Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold completed 27-of-51 passes for 278 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in a loss to Denver. Dynasty Analysis: Darnold won 28 total regular season games the past two years but has looked more like the prospect the Jets gave up on than the one who won the Super Bowl last season. Through five games, Darnold has just seven touchdown passes and seven interceptions despite playing with an elite-level defense and perhaps the best wide receiver in the game. For the first time since his arrival in Seattle, there are legitimate questions surrounding his short and long-term future. Darnold will look to turn it around next week against the Chiefs but he's far from a lineup option in anything but 2QB leagues at the moment.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Bo Nix Oct 16 4:13pm ET
Bo Nix

Dynasty | Broncos quarterback Bo Nix completed 17-of-27 passes for 107 yards in a win against Seattle. Dynasty Analysis: Nix left the game with a yards per attempt average of just four. Yes, four. The change back to Sean Payton as the playcaller has done little to fix his issues and Nix has played some of the worst football in the league so far this season with just six touchdown passes in six games. Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton and the rest of the Broncos offense has become unplayable in fantasy circles and his dynasty value is starting to decline as a result.

Dynasty | Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had 12 catches for 134 yards in a loss to the Broncos. Dynasty Analysis: There may be players more important to their own teams than JSN, but that list has to be pretty short at the moment. Smith-Njigba is somehow producing, despite being the focal point of the opposing defense every week and dealing with double teams on just about every snap. The Seahawks offense has been far from explosive but he's simply not the problem. JSN will continue to produce elite-level stats and is untouchable in dynasty leagues.

Rashid Shaheed

Dynasty | Seahawks wide receiver Rashid Shaheed had five catches for 66 yards in a loss to the Broncos. Dynasty Analysis: Shaheed was given a pretty penny this off-season to produce for Seattle and had done little prior to this game outside of making a few special teams plays. It's a positive sign for Shaheed moving forward but one just needs to look at 51 pass attempts on the night to keep things in check as well. We'll see what Shaheed does in the coming weeks but hopefully his eight targets and a few deep shots were a sign of things to come.
